Les dispositifs actuellement connus présentent des inconvénients. ,Ainsi on connaît un robinet dont la- pièce d'obturation ,est sphérique ainsi que la cavité intérieure du corps. La construction ;de ce robinet est difficile et coûteuse;
A cette fin, l'invention a pour objet un robinet mélangeur comprenant un corps creux dans lequel débouchent au moins ;deux entrées de fluide distinctes et une sortie et qui reçoit une pièce d'obturation uni que, mobile dans plusieurs directions, grâce à une seule manette pour régler la proportion en;
Single-control mixer tap Mixing taps are already known which have a single shut-off piece, itself controlled by a single lever and movable in several directions to cooperate with several fluid inlets.
Generally these valves are applied for the mixture of lime water and cold water and the control in one direction corresponds to the relative dosage of the two waters while the control, in the other direction, corresponds to the adjustment of the flow resulting from this mixture. .
Currently known devices have drawbacks. Thus, a valve is known, the closure part of which is spherical as well as the internal cavity of the body. The construction of this valve is difficult and expensive;
moreover, the control lever controls a limited stroke. and the adjustment is consequently not very sensitive since a very small variation in the movement of the lever causes a relatively large variation in the dosage. Co ordination and location of the controller are therefore difficult. Finally, the throughput is low for an acceptable size.
There are also known taps with a cylindrical shut-off piece which include O-rings either on the body of the tap or on the movable piece to determine the water circuit. These taps do not include total and airtight sealing of the individual inlets hence possible communication between them and the need to add upstream ide each of the inlets a check valve.
These valves are delicate to machine because they require great precision :. In addition to their high cost price resulting from this machining, these valves are subject to significant wear and frequent scaling because of the clearances which must necessarily be low, this state of affairs having the other consequence of causing hardness in the operation. as a result of dilations.
We see that with these taps, the organization of the O-rings is made to obtain the different blockages in two stages, at the level of the inlets to adjust the proportions and at the level of the outlet to adjust the flow rate.
The present invention provides a new solution to the problem of the practical realization of a single-control mixing valve, so that it is of manufacture, simple and robust, of efficient operation and simple to operate.
To this end, the invention relates to a mixing valve comprising a hollow body into which at least open; two separate fluid inlets and an outlet and which receives a united shutter piece that, movable in several directions, thanks to a single lever to adjust the proportion in;
quantity, of each fluid as well as the total flow, characterized in that the internal cavity of the body is cylindrical and that the closure part consists of an equally cylindrical piston which can pivot and slide in the body and which has one or more lateral orifices, which may coincide with the fluid inlets and communicating with the outlet of the body via a longitudinal passage of the piston, means being provided to ensure the seal between the body and the piston around the inlets.
Some embodiments of the valve according to the invention are shown by way of example in the appended drawing, in which: FIG. 1 is a longitudinal sectional view of a first embodiment of the valve according to the invention, FIG. 2 is a top view of the same tap, Fig.
3 is a sectional view taken along line III-III of FIG. 1, Figs. 4 and 5 are sectional views. respectively, longitudinal and transverse, of a second embodiment, Figs. 6 and 7 are sectional views, respectively longitudinal and transverse, of a third embodiment, FIG. 8 is a partial sectional view of a:
variant preventing leaks in the bottom of the tap. The valve comprises a body 1 (fig. 1 to 3) having two inlet mouths 2 and 3 and an outlet mouth 4. The internal cavity 5 is cylindrical and receives a piston 6 also integral with a cylindrical rod 7.
The body 1 is open at its upper part for the introduction of the piston 6, but is closed by a cover 8 forming part of a crown 9 held on the body 1 by a screwed ring 1.0 with the interposition of a seal 11 The rod 7 passes through the cover 8 and the bottom of the body 1, the sealing of these passages being ensured by O-rings, 12 and 13.
The top of there rod 7 is connected to a clapper 14 by a radial screw 15. Clapper 14 supports a pin 1-6 on which is mounted the end of a lever 17 bearing. by a sphere 18 in a horizontal slot 9a of the crown 9.
Rubber rings 19 and 20 are engaged in the mouthpieces 2 and 3, the face of which bears against the piston 6 has a.
concavity., in- portion. cylinder die corresponding exactly- to the face of this piston 6. The rings 19 and 2a have a shoulder directed towards their other ends. and receiving the action of coil springs 21 and 22 tablets by screw rings. 23 and 24.
The piston 6 has a radial hole 25 extended by two grooves. parallels 26. and 27, of regularly decreasing depth from this hole 25 -and between which remains. a bearing 28. The piston 6 is also traversed by a hole 3.0, parallel to its axis.
The operation of this tap is as follows: The tap is. closed when the lever 17 is lowered to the maximum, that is to say when the rod 7 and the piston. 6 are raised and that the fluid inlets are no longer located opposite the grooves 26-27 but opposite the lower solid part of the piston 6.
For. let water flow -by the outlet 4, it is therefore necessary to raise the lever 17, the other end of which lowers the rod 7 and thus brings them. gorges 26-27 facing the water inlets.
To- adjust it. proportion between cold water and hot-skin, one. turns handle 17 (the sphere 18-sliding in the lumen 9a) and, consequently, the rod 7 as well. that the, piston 6 ,. so that the grooves 26 and 2:
7 are either next to entry 2 or next to. the entrance. 3, - either at the face of these, two entrances, _exant, given the extent of these gorges.
In other words, the same lever 17, operated vertically and horizontally provokes. variations in temperature and flow of water leaving in 4.
Closing and opening: only take place at the level of inlets 2 and 3 by the rubber rings 19 and 20: The bearing surface 28 which separates the two grooves 26 and 27 is intended to prevent the rubber rings 19, and 20 ide become embedded in the throats.
The decreasing depth of the grooves 26 and 27 is intended to make the variation - of, flow rate very gradually when the piston 6 is rotated to adjust the temperature.
The hole 30 allows: to communicate the two parts of the cavity 5, located. go. on the other side of the piston 6 so that it is in; equilibrium whatever the height at which it is immobilized, given that the water pressure then prevails both above the piston and below.
Referring now to Figs. 4 and 5, it can be seen that the piston 6 has two radial holes 31 and 32, each extended on one side by an oblong notch 33 and 34 of decreasing depth from the corresponding hole. At the appropriate holes 31 and 32 are drilled half-holes 35-36 opening onto the upper face of the piston 6. As before, the piston 6 is pierced by a balancing hole 37.
The precision of these two holes 31-32 extended by their notches 33-34 makes it possible to eliminate the long grooves 26-27 and the bearing surface 28 without sacrificing the progressiveness of the opening.
The two-entries 2 and 3 (Fig. 6 and 7), instead of being diametrically opposed, are oriented at 90 to each other, which then allows no provision in the. piston 6 that a single radial hole 38 extended on both sides by a depth-decreasing mouth 39, the opening hole 38 dances a circular cavity 40 idu piston 6.
In fig. 8 :; it can be seen that the bottom of the body 1 is thick enough to have an axial blind hole 41 in height. corresponding to the axial travel of the rod 7. This rod is produced here in the form of a tube open to its. two ends of such. so that if he does.
produces- a leak between the rod 7 and the O-ring 13 "the water - flows in the half-hole 41 and ends up going up inside the rod 7 to end at the upper part of the tap, so that this leak is easily detected.
It emerges from the above description that the robi net- is simple machining and safe operation since the only two sealing joints are the rings 19 and 20: The operation of the handle 17 is very simple and allows adjustment accurate since it has a stroke of 180 in the case. of the embodiments shown in FIGS. 1 to 5.
The Rings. 19- and. 20- are requested by the springs 21 so that their wear is automatically compensated for, but given their position, it is possible, in im m - certain applications to remove these springs 21 and - 22 char. the rings are applied against the cylinder 6 by the same pressure.
eiau. These springs 21 and -22 are therefore only really useful in the case where the operating pressure is low. O-rings 1.2 and 13 do not wear out quickly, since they are not subjected to severe stresses? Indeed, the rod 7 is not subjected to torsion by operation of the handle 17 because it is guided in the cover 8 and in the bottom of the body 1.
All of these arrangements make it possible to obtain a high flow rate from the taps and easy adjustment.
