Katalysator. Als Lösungsmittel werden z. B. aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, Alkohole, Ester, Ketone, ¯ther etc. verwendet.

Process for the preparation of new, fungicidally active heterocyclic amines
The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of new, fungicidally active heterocyclic amines and salts thereof.
It has been found that heterocyclic amines of the formula I.
EMI1.1
in the r one. Alkyl radical with 6 to 14 carbon atoms, a haloalkyl radical, an aralkyl or polyalkoxyalkyl radical, the cyclopentyl, cycloheptyl, cyclooctyl or cyclodecyl radical or the group - (CH2) y-NH-R, in which RI is an optionally halogenated alkyl- or aryl radical and y is a number from 1-5, and x is an integer from 1-5, and their salts with organic and inorganic acids, as well as their quaternary salts, have excellent fungicidal properties.
The process according to the invention is characterized in that a compound of the formula II
EMI1.2
in which R2 is an alkyl radical with 1-3 carbon atoms, A is oxygen or sulfur, and x is an integer from 1-5, with a primary amine of the formula III
NH2-R (III) 'in which R has the meaning given under formula I.
As a rule, equivalent amounts of the starting materials of formulas II and III are implemented. It is preferable to work in the presence of a solvent and a tertiary amine as
Catalyst. As a solvent z. B. aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, esters, ketones, ¯ther etc. are used.
As tertiary amines, for example, pyridine, trimethylamine, triethylamine, triethanolamine, etc. come into question. During the reaction, the residual AR2 is split off with the formation of an alcohol or meroaptan.
In the present description, the term salt is understood to mean the salts of inorganic or organic acids and also the quaternary salts. The salts of organic and inorganic 'saunas of the compound of formula I are obtained by treating the reaction products of the process described with equivalent amounts of an inorganic or organic acid, such as. B. hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, formic acid,
Acetic acid, propionic acid, sorbic acid, oxalic acid, succinic acid, phthalic acid and p-toluenesulfonic acid, optionally in the presence of neutral organic solvents or water.
The quaternary salts are obtained by reacting equivalent amounts of compounds of the formula I with the usual quaternizing agents, such as. B. with the reactive esters of sulfuric acid and toluene sulfonic acid, or with the reactive derivatives of alcohols, such as. B. methyl iodide, butyl bromide, benzyl chloride. This reaction can optionally be carried out in the presence of organic inert solvents, e.g. B. benzene or water.
The radials R and Ri are preferably straight-chain or branched-chain alkyl radicals having 6-14 carbon atoms. These alkyl radicals can, if necessary, by halogen atoms, for. B. chlorine or bromine, may be substituted. Aryl and aralkyl radicals R and Ri are, for example, phenylethyl, phenylpropyl and isobutylbenzyl radicals, which can be substituted by halogen atoms.
As starting materials of the formula II, for example, the O-methyl, O-ethyl, O-propyllactime ethers and the corresponding thioethers of the lactime forms of α-pyrrolidone, α-piperidone, caprolactam, onanthlactam and capryllactam come in Question.
Examples of suitable amines of the formula are: n Hexylamine, octylamine, decylamine, undecylamine, laurylamine, tridecylamine, myristylamine, polychloroctylamine, polychlorlaurylamine, cyclopentylamine, cycloheptylamine, cyclooctylamine, benzylamine, ¯-phenylethylamine, α-phenylethylamine, α - Methylbenzylamine, a-isobutylbenzylamine, y- (polyethoxy) propylamine, N-hexyl-1,2-diaminoathane, N-octyl-1,2-diaminoethane, N-dodecyl-1,2-diaminoethane, N-octyl 1,3-diaminopropane and No-, Nm-, Np-chlorophenyl-1,3-diaminopropane.
The compounds of the formula I or their salts obtained according to the invention are particularly suitable as active ingredients for fungicidal agents in a wide variety of fields of application. As a result of the low toxicity for worms and the lack of phytotoxicity in the practical application concentrations, which range from 0.1 to 2% based on the active ingredient, the compounds of the formula I are particularly suitable for plant protection. The use of the active ingredients as fungicides in fruit tree crops is of particular importance. The active ingredients which can be prepared according to the invention are also suitable as seed dressings, since their effect is e.g.
B. on Tilletia tritici, Fusarium culmorum u. a., is excellent and sprout inhibition does not occur.
The following examples describe the preparation according to the invention of new compounds of the formula I. Parts therein denote parts by weight and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
Example 1
12.7 parts of O-methyl-caprolactim, 18.5 parts of n-dodecylamine, 200 parts by volume of ethanol and 1.0 parts of triethylamine are refluxed for 20 hours. The bulk of the ethanol is then evaporated off in vacuo, the residue is taken up in ether and washed out with water.
The 7-dodecyl-amino-3, 4, 5, 6-tetrahydro-2H-azepine obtained by evaporating the ether solution is recrystallized from petroleum ether, melting point 53-54. By dissolving in the equivalent amount of dilute hydrochloric acid, the hydrochloric acid of melting point 148-149 (recrystallized from water or acetone) is obtained.
Example 2
14.3 parts of 2-methylthio-3, 4, 5, 6-tetrahydro-2hazepine, 200 parts by volume of benzene, 18.6 parts of laurylamine and 1 part of triethylamine are refluxed for 20 hours. The solution is concentrated in vacuo and the residue is crystallized from petroleum ether; 7-dodecylamino-3, 4, 5, 6-tetrahydro-2H-azepine has m.p. 52-54. The chlorohydrate prepared analogously to Example 1 has the melting point 149-150¯.
28 parts of 7-dodecylamino-3, 4, 5, 6-tetrahydro-2hazepine are dissolved in 100 parts by volume of absolute benzene. 13 parts of dimethyl sulfate are added dropwise to this solution at 20 ° C. The reaction mixture is refluxed for one hour. The
Solvent is evaporated and the quaternary
The salt of 7-dodecylamino-3, 4, 5, 6-tetrahydro-2H-azepin remains as a thick, non-distillable S1.
In an analogous manner, from 7-dodecylamino-
3, 4, 5, 6-tetrahydro-2H-tazepine and diethyl sulfate or n-butyl bromide the corresponding oily nondistillable quaternary salt.
In the way described in the previous example, equivalent sets of
