Tamper-evident closure device
In tamper-evident capsules consisting of an upper part and a lower part joined together by a zone of lesser resistance of the flexible plastic material, the upper part comprises internal threads cooperating with the screw neck of the bottle. By screwing, the bottom of the capsule is brought into contact with the mouth of the bottle; given that the plastic material is flexible, the sealing of the plug is thus ensured.
To ensure the tamper-evident closure, the lower part of the cap is likely to catch on the lower part of the neck at the end of screwing. Thus, the internal wall of the lower part of the capsule can be toothed and cooperate with the circular base of the glass neck which comprises a plurality of projections each having a ramp and a cutaway. The ramp allows the teeth to pass over the projection during screwing and the cutaway, on the other hand, prevents the teeth from passing over this same projection, during an attempt to unscrew the whole of the capsule, only unscrewing of the cap is possible. the upper part of the capsule, after rupture of the zone of least resistance joining it to the lower part.
In capsules of this type, the lower part of the capsule under these conditions undergoes each passage of the teeth over the projections during screwing an increase in its diameter which results in efforts to extend the plastic material and resistance. when screwing in the capsule.
The invention overcomes this drawback.
The subject of the invention is a tamper-proof closure device comprising a cap made of flexible material, screwed onto the neck of a bottle and made up of two parts separated by a zone of least resistance of the material. This device is characterized in that the upper part of the capsule has internal threads cooperating with the thread of the neck and the lower part of the capsule comprises flexible lamellae adhering to its internal wall by only one of their sides and inclined on this wall, in such a way that they are capable of folding up against the wall during the screwing of the capsule, by being erased when the passage of spared ramps on the neck but that, having reached the right of the cut sides ending the ramps, they return to their normal position and come, at the end of screwing,
in abutment against the cut sides thus preventing any unscrewing of the upper part without breaking the capsule.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a partial vertical section passing through the axis of symmetry of the capsule.
Fig. 2 is a corresponding view of FIG. 1 in which the upper part of the capsule is being unscrewed.
Fig. 3 is a cross section through the plane III-III of FIG. 2.
Fig. 4 is a section on a larger scale showing the zone of least resistance connecting the two parts of the capsule.
IVF. 5 is a cross section of the base of the glass neck receiving the capsule.
With reference to the drawing, 1 is the upper part, 2 the lower part of the capsule, 3 the glass neck terminated at its lower part by a shoulder 4. The upper part 1 comprises internal threads 5 cooperating with a thread 6 the neck of glassware. The top 7 of the capsule fits tightly on and in the mouth 8 of the ring 3.
The lower part 2 of the capsule comprises four strips 9, molded with the capsule and diametrically opposed two by two. These lamellae are inclined, on the wall on which they are formed, in the counterclockwise direction, about 350 on the tangent ff 'to the capsule at the point of connection of the lamella on the wall (fig. 3).
It will be seen that the direction of inclination of the blades, as defined above, has been chosen such that the blades oppose unscrewing of the capsule.
The upper sides 10 of the strips (FIG. 4) are connected to the upper part of the capsule 1, for example by bridges of material 11, molded with the capsule, and constituting a zone of least resistance guaranteeing the inviolability of the closure. . The lower sides 12 of the slats are in an arc of a circle to facilitate their engagement on the ring of the stopper flask.
The neck, in its lower part 13 cooperating with the lower part 2 of the capsule, takes the form of two half-cylinders 1 3a and 13b (FIG. 5) connected by planes 14a and 14b serving as stops for the slats 9. The two half-cylinders have their axes offset in the plane XX 'which is the plane of connection of the two half-molds shaping the ring. These two half-cylinders have the same diameter, which is slightly smaller, by about 2 mu, than the internal diameter of the capsule. The diameter of the neck, counted on the X-X 'axis, is equal to the internal diameter of the capsule.
During the screwing of the capsule on the neck, the strips 9 are, due to their flexibility, applied to the internal face of the capsule by the semi-cylinders 13a and 13b, in particular when they reach the vicinity of the axis XX 'in the area where the diameter of the neck is maximum.
However, even then, this does not result in efforts tending to increase the diameter of the capsule because, given the small thickness of the lamellae and the generally elliptical shape of the ring, the lower part of the capsule is deformed. flattening slightly to the level where the neck diameter is minimum.
When the slats escape the half-cylinders, they return to their original orientation and at the end of screwing they bear on the surfaces 14a
and 14b prohibiting the reverse rotation of the lower part of the capsule. The upper part of the capsule can only be unscrewed after breaking of the bridges of material 11 connecting it to the lower part.
