Hydraulic control device for internal combustion engines, in particular gas engines The invention relates to a hydraulic control device for internal combustion engines, in particular gas engines, with a control pump driven by the internal combustion engine.
whose individual pump elements, which are fed from a control fluid container and periodically generate feed pulses, are each connected to a hydraulic working cylinder via a pressure line and a check valve, the working piston of which controls the opening and closing movement of the spring-loaded injection valve, the working cylinder at the beginning,
the valve closing movement via a laterally opening outflow line; in the end phase of the valve closing movement, however, after the discharge line has been closed by the working piston, a bypass line which opens into the pressure line and contains a throttle point is connected to the return line for the control fluid.
There is already a control device of the type mentioned ge become known in which a fuel injection pump of conventional design is used as a control pump, the pressure chambers of the individual pump elements are directly connected to the pressure line.
Before the entry point of the pressure line in; the non-return valve opens into the return line for the control fluid in the pressure line, which is thus periodically alternating in both directions of the control fluid.
To feed the individual pump elements, the control fluid is taken from a high-level tank and fed to the above-mentioned bypass line by means of its own feed pump via a feed line and a non-return valve, from which it is fed via the return line and the drain line in,
the pressure chamber of the pump element. During the subsequent working stroke of the pump piston, the control fluid is fed in the opposite direction through the pressure line to the working cylinder, the piston of which opens the injection valve of the internal combustion engine.
When the pump piston and the injection pump decrease, the control fluid flows from the working cylinder via the return line or bypass line and via the pressure line back into the pump element and returns to the control fluid circuit via its suction hole.
In valve actuation devices of this type, there are mainly disadvantages in the Schliessbe movement of the valves. At high speeds, pressure fluctuations occur in the control fluid, which are transferred to the individual valves and thus damage the valve seats.
These pressure fluctuations are a consequence of the increasingly sudden delivery of control fluid with increasing speed, so that the maximum speed of the internal combustion engine is limited to about 600 rpm in order to ensure a proper valve closing process. is required.
In addition to these deficiencies, the known control device has a relatively complex structure due to the increased expenditure on lines, so that it appears questionable whether the advantages of such a hydraulic control system justify the high expenditure.
especially since an increased susceptibility to failure of the facility must be accepted.
The invention eliminates the disadvantages mentioned and pursues the goal of creating a control device that is as simplified as possible and that works as flawlessly as possible even at significantly higher operating speeds than before.
According to the invention, this goal is achieved in that each pump element has a relief valve on the pressure side and a differential piston valve is additionally arranged between the pressure line and the working cylinder in parallel to the check valve, which controls the return of the control fluid into the return line that opens directly into the control fluid container ,
The piston face of the differential piston valve having the larger diameter is exposed to the periodic delivery pulses of the control pump and the piston face of smaller diameter designed as a return valve is acted upon by the control fluid flowing back from the working cylinder.
The arrangement of a relief valve on the injection pump results in an instant pressure relief of the pressure line and the working piston, but also of the differential piston valve, at the end of the delivery stroke, whereby the valve closing process is triggered directly. In an advantageous manner, this also results in higher speeds of up to about 1800 rpm. short valve opening times,
so that there is no overlap between the gas injection period and the purging period. In addition, such a design offers the advantage that any normal fuel injection pump in the same design as for diesel engines is suitable for installation in the control device according to the invention without any modification, provided that the pump elements are or will be provided with relief valves.
The development or construction costs of your own control pump can therefore be saved.
Significant progress is also achieved by the fact that the control fluid flowing back during the valve closing movement quickly reaches the pressureless return line via the differential piston valve.
whereby the comparatively very low flow resistance to be overcome enables a reduction in the valve closing force and thus also a reduction in valve seat wear.
The closed control fluid circuit, in particular, contributes to the proper functioning of the device even in higher speed ranges, since in the pressure line, in contrast to the known device, there is no reversal of movement of the control fluid, so that vibration phenomena caused by this are excluded during the valve closing movement.
Of particular importance for efficient and trouble-free operation of the system is the fact that the effect according to the invention is achieved despite the significantly reduced structural effort. Thus, only a single pressure line leads to each working cylinder, whereas a common unpressurized collecting line is provided for returning the control fluid to the container. Since no elevated tank is required for the control fluid, accommodating the tank does not present any difficulties in spite of the mostly cramped space conditions in internal combustion engines.
Although the control fluid, especially in high speed range, heats up quickly, separate cooling devices for the control fluid are normally unnecessary as a result of the regulated cooling circuit, since the cooling effect of the container generally compensates for the heating of the control fluid in operation.
Another advantage of the control device according to the invention, compared to the known design, is its permanent readiness for operation, since the control line system is vented automatically during operation. The control line system only needs to be vented via a single vent screw at the highest point of the line system when the control device is started up for the first time.
Further details and advantages of the invention are described below with reference to the drawing ben. The single figure shows an embodiment of the invention in a schematic representation.
On the pressure side, the control pump 1 has a relief valve 1 'for each pump element, to which the pressure line 2 connects. At the other end, the pressure line 2 branches into two branches, one of which is connected to the pressure chamber of a working cylinder 5 via a check valve 3 and another pressure line 4, while the other branch of the pressure line 2,
opens into the pressure chamber of a differential piston valve 14 connected by the piston end face 16. In Arbeitszy cylinder 5, a working piston 6 is slidably mounted,
The free end of the sen rests on the shaft end surface of an injection valve 7 loaded in the closing direction by a valve spring 8. The pressure chamber of the working cylinder 5 is connected via a lateral bore 10 to the differential piston valve 14 through the drain line 9, which opens on the side of the piston face 18 designed as a return valve.
The return valve separates the outflow line 9 from the overflow space 19 of the differential piston valve 14. The overflow space 19 has a lateral opening for the return line 13, which opens directly into the control fluid container 15. Via: the suction line 20 connecting the control liquid container 15 to the control pump 1, the circuit for the control liquid closes.
In addition to the discharge line 9, a bypass line 11 is also provided between the working cylinder 5 and the differential piston valve 14, which is connected on the one hand to the pressure line 4 and on the other hand to the discharge line 9 and in which a throttle point 12 is arranged.
The mode of operation of the control device according to the invention is as follows: the non-return valve 3 is opened via the relief valve 1 'and the pressure line 2 through the delivery pulse emanating from the control pump 1. The control fluid acts via the pressure line 4 on the working piston 6, which opens the blower valve 7 against the force of the valve spring 8.
The same delivery pulse also acts on the larger piston face 16 of the differential piston valve 14 and thereby presses the piston face 18, which is designed as a return valve, onto its seat in the closing direction.
The discharge line 9 is thus isolated from the overflow space 19 of the differential piston valve 14, so that the control fluid cannot flow back into the return line 13 during the delivery period that causes the valve to open.
After completion of the promotion by grinding a control edge in the A injection pump 1, which takes place in the same way as with diesel injection pumps, the pressure line 2 is depressurized by the relief valve 1 'in the injection pump 1. The check valve 3 closes and separates the control line system consisting of the pressure chamber of the working cylinder 5 and the lines 4, 9 and 11 from the pressure line 2 or the control pump 1.
The valve spring 8 then closes the injection valve 7, pushes the working piston 6 back and presses the control fluid through the bore 10 and the discharge line 9 against the small piston end face 18 of the differential piston valve 14 and opens the same. Via the overflow space 19 of the differential piston valve 14, the control fluid reaches the unpressurized return line 13 and from there into the control fluid container 15, virtually throttled.
In the final phase of the valve closing movement, the control edge of the receding working piston 6 closes the mouth 10 of the discharge line 9 so that the return flow, the control fluid only the path via the bypass line 11 and the this part of the piston movement is strongly damped,
which causes the injection valve 7 to come on slowly. As soon as the latter is closed, the working piston 6 has reached its starting position and the differential piston valve 14 returns to the closed position. A compression spring 17 acting on the piston end face 16 in the closing direction is provided for the secure closure of the differential piston valve 14.
The control pump 1 is then fed for the next delivery pulse via the suction line 20 from the control fluid container 15.
The filling quantity of the stener fluid holder 15 is selected so large that the heating of the control fluid does not exceed a predetermined amount during operation. If necessary, a recooling system for the control fluid can also be included in the control circuit.
