Description
Practice cartridge The object of the invention is a practice cartridge for blank firing which can be used with any automatic weapon with the same effects of noise and recoil, its automatic ejection being able to be used with any automatic weapon. assured, even from strips, but without any projection of particles taking place during the deflagration.
This cartridge comprises a metallic sleeve, which may be of a conventional type or of second quality, or even which may have thinner walls than those of a conventional shell in order to ensure a saving in metal,
and an envelope in synthetic material, fitted in this sleeve. This cartridge avoids misfires due to the elastic support in the weapon of a plastic cone as well as accidental separations, particularly during automatic firing, of the plastic base which exists in known cartridges.
The cartridge object of the invention is characterized in that it comprises a tubular casing of flexible or semi-rigid synthetic material comprising a cylindrical body extended by a recessed ogival end, the cylindrical body, the free end of which is opened,
being fitted in a metal socket such that said end touches the bottom of this socket and the ogival end protrudes out of this socket.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows the flexible envelope having an ogival end extending to the base of the metal sleeve.
Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section of the ogival end. Fig. 3 is a cross section showing the section of the pointed end.
The envelope made of material, flexible or semi-rigid plastic, consists of a cylindrical part having the diameter of the metal sleeve in which it is housed.
The lower part 2 of the casing is open while the upper part comprises a shoulder 3 extending through the ogive 4 having the shape of a bullet. During assembly, a pin used for injection has a preferably pyramidal extension and penetrates the ogive to its end. We then obtain a camed recess 5 with sectors 6, 7, 8, 9 of a length of 10.
The advantages of this cartridge are multiple. During manufacture, da dose of powder is placed in the inverted casing - and the cylindrical body 1 is pushed into the socket until it touches the bottom 12 thereof.
The envelope is then positioned and sleeps in the ser weaving of part 14, it does not undergo any displacement. The shoulder 3 perfectly matches the shapes of the metal sleeve.
During firing, the gases being enclosed in this double casing, one rigid metallic, the other flexible plastic,
the swelling causes the cylindrical body to adhere very strongly to its support constituted by the sleeve and eliminates any possibility of movement or sliding. Accidental separation of the plastic part <RTI
ID = "0001.0131"> from with the metal support is completely removed and is made absolutely impossible, which removes any cause of accident.
In addition, during manufacture, there is a centering position which, with the: crimping, ensures absolute stabilization. The plastic shoulder does not press directly on the chamber because it touches the weapon, but on the internal face of the socket, so that the elastic support that generates misfires does not exist.
Finally, the profiling of the recess of the ogive facilitates the bursting without projection of pieces during tearing, and this result occurs even without thinning of the walls. Indeed,
profiling with angles channels -the pressurized flow of the gases and causes it to undergo its thrust in an area which obligatorily gives way along a line, over a long length, so that the tearing is progressive, without possibility abrupt separation of still dangerous plots.
