L'étui décrit ,présente l'inconvénient quele bâton 4 n'a qu'une faible ,section transversale dans da zone où il sort de 4a couronne 3. Cette faible .section est due, d'une part, au fait qu'il se produit dors de la solidifica tion du bâton un;
retrait longitudinal 12 (fig.
Pour remédier à cet inconvénient, da seule solution pratique consiste d'abord :à donner au bâton le plus grand volume .possible dans la couronne, l'expérience ayant montré que plus le diamètre du bâton est grand, plus la profondeur -du retrait est diminuée, et ensuite à donner au bâton, sur la ;
L'étui faisant d'objet de l'invention, comprenant un corps .tubulaire et une couronne montée avec le bâton dans un organe coulissant permettant de déplacer la cou ronne et le bâton dans ledit corps, est caractérisé en ce que la couronne présente, dans -sa partie la .plus pro che de ;
Case for a lipstick stick The present invention relates to: a case for a lipstick stick.
In a known case, the stick of rouge (fig. 1 and 2) is molded by casting the material constituting this stick in a pointed mold 1 which is fitted onto: a crown 2, a flange 3 of which limits this fitting, the mold and the:
crown being turned upside down during molding. Once the material has made: taken to give a stick 4, we introduce the crown 2 with light rubbing:
with ie stick in a sliding member 5 which carries a guide pin 6. This member 5 is housed in a pipe 7 which internally has a helical groove 8 in which the lug 6 is housed.
The pipe 7 is itself mounted in another pipe 9 which has a longitudinal slot 10 in which the lug 6 is also housed. The whole is then introduced into a metal pipe, not shown, constituting the outer casing of the pipe. case. This construction is well known. Once the stick is formed, the mold can be removed and the tube is ready for use.
By rotating the lower part 11 of the pipe 7 with respect to the .pipe 9; the lug 6 is obliged ide to follow at once, the longitudinal groove 10 of the pipe 9 and the helical groove of the pipe 7, which allows the sliding member 5 to be raised or lowered, and consequently the crown 2 and stick 4,
in the body of the tube, according to the direction of rotation.
The case described has the drawback that the th stick 4 has only a weak cross section in the area where it comes out of the crown 3. This weak .section is due to on the one hand, to the fact that it occurs during the solidification of stick one;
longitudinal shrinkage 12 (fig. 2) very important in the mass of the stick, and on the other hand due to the fact that the diameter of the stick in the crown is less than the diameter of this stick in the part outside the crown. It often happens that the stick breaks at the time of use as a result of the pressure exerted on the lips.
To remedy this drawback, the only practical solution consists first of all: in giving the stick the greatest possible volume in the crown, experience having shown that the larger the diameter of the stick, the greater the depth of withdrawal. diminished, and then to give to the stick, on the;
greatest possible length in the crown, the same diameter as it presents in its part outside the crown.
The case forming the subject of the invention, comprising a tubular body and a crown mounted with the stick in a sliding member allowing the neck and the stick to be moved in said body, is characterized in that the crown has, in -its part closest to;
the tip of the stick, an outside diameter equal to the outside diameter of the sliding member and an inside diameter equal to the diameter of the stick in its part outside the crown.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the case: object of the invention and two variants in FIG. 3 is a section through part of this embodiment, and FIGS. 4 and 5 are views of the variants.
The case shown at 'fg. 3 comprises a crown 13 which: carries a red stick 14 bent in the known manner, this crown being introduced with light friction into a sliding member 15 comprising an er taste 16.
In its part da closest to the tip of the stick 14, the crown 13 has an outside diameter equal to the outside diameter of the sliding member 15 and an inside diameter equal to the diameter of the stick 14 in its part outside the crown 13.
In its part the pdus far from da: tip of the stick, the crown 13 has an external diameter which allows it to be introduced with light friction! Into the sliding member 15.: ..-. . ..
By comparing Figs. 2 and 3, we see that the stick 14 has a much greater mass, in the area where it emerges from the crown 13, than the stick 4 in the area where it emerges from the crown, so that the force exerted on the stick, during its use is insufficient to cause its = breakage.
In the variant shown. in fig. 4, the crown has a recess formed by a window 17 formed in its wall and into which the material constituting the stick penetrates during molding.
By this means, the volume of the stick is further reinforced near the upper end of the crown.
In the variant shown * in FIG. 5, the crown 13 has an upper edge orénélé so as to form recesses 18 into which also penetrates the material constituting the: stick during molding, for the same purpose as above.
In the two variants of FIGS. 4 and 5, it is obvious that during molding, the ogive mold, such as the mold 1 of FIGS. 1 and 2, must reopen the recesses -17 or 18 so that the material forming the stick does not flow out of the crown.
