Bag-shaped stand-by container for rescue and breathing apparatus The invention relates to bag-shaped ready-to-use container for rescue and breathing apparatus, specifically for those devices that are placed at a hazard or at a work site endangered by a gas outbreak in these bag-shaped ready-to-use containers, until in a case of danger sudden use and rapid application of the device becomes necessary. This can e.g.
B. be in chemical companies in which one must fear a gas outbreak that would lead to poisoning for the people employed there. It has been found to be particularly advantageous to provide so-called mouthpiece devices for such purposes, which ensure immediate protection by inserting the mouthpiece into the person's mouth and clamping the nose by means of a nose clip. However, if the outbreak of gases with a great irritant effect is to be feared, a full face mask must be worn instead of the mouthpiece device.
An embodiment is now known in which all openings of a mouthpiece device are secured by closures. The closures are all united on a cord and can all be torn off at once. The device itself is housed in a bag-shaped ready-to-use container made of fabric, rubber, leather or plastic film and hung in such a way that when the bag is torn from the hanging location, the bag opens automatically and releases the device.
However, tear wires or similar devices, which serve to tear open the bag wall, can also be introduced into the casing.
In the previously known devices, which are placed in standby containers of insufficient gas tightness, it was previously necessary to secure the vacancies of the device, that is, the inhalation or amate openings, as well as the exhalation valve, with closures. This should ensure that harmful influences are kept away from the filter media.
Even if it takes a very short time to tear off the closures, the closure of the airways of the device must be viewed as a disadvantage, and it is preferable to put the respiratory protection or rescue device with open airways in the ready-to-use bag and store it.
The present invention solves this problem and relates to a ready-to-use container of the type mentioned at the outset, which is characterized in that a film made of a long-chain compound is used as the material for the cover, the interior of which, for the purpose of welding, with a polyethylene -Layer is covered, and that one or more incisions that do not bridge the welding edge are arranged on the welding edge, from which the film cover can be torn open instantaneously and the device can thereby be removed.
The long-chain compounds are expediently made of terephthalic acid ester or polystyrene and, in addition to being good impermeability to gases and vapors, show another useful property for the present purpose. They have great tensile strength, but tear if there is an incision or a notch in the edge. Other foils, e.g.
B. those made of polyethylene cannot be torn in a defined manner even when an edge notch is made, but tear after they have been greatly stretched, completely undefined. A tab, tongue, ring or the like can be attached between two notches in the welding edge on the welding edge, which serves as a handle when torn open.
You can also save the special attachment of an edge handle if you make the welding edge at the point from where the tearing is intended so wide that the part of the welding edge between the two incisions can be used as a tab itself.
In order to create a good hanging option, it is recommended that a solid strip of cardboard or the like be glued or riveted to one side of the bag, which is seen ver with a hanging loop. Another possible embodiment is that a rivet with an eyelet is pulled through the welding edge and that an appropriately wedge-shaped incision is made under half of the rivet in the welding edge. To open this bag it is only necessary to exert a strong pull on the bag containing the device, on the eyelet on the bag hanging, so that the rivet is torn out at the point where the incision is located.
Then there is a tear point from which the bag can be torn into two parts.
The drawing shows two possible embodiments of the invention. Fig. 1 shows a flat pouch welded together from two flat shaped pieces 1 and 2 made of polyterephthalic acid ester, with the protected trade name Hostaphan5>, which have a polyethylene coating, with a wide circumferential welding edge 3. The breathing protection device 4, which is designed as a mouthpiece device, is inserted in this bag in a gas and water vapor-tight manner. The bag is provided on its upper edge with a strip 5 made of folded cardboard, which can be riveted or glued to the welding edge 3.
An eyelet 7 for hanging the bag on a hook 8 can be fixed on the rivets 6. The bar has a recess in the middle. Within this cutout, small notches 9 are made at two points on the welding edge, but they do not bridge the welding edge. The part of the welding edge lying between these two notches is seen with a tab 10 ver. By pulling the tab 10 downwards, the notches 9 make it possible to tear the entire bag, so that the device, which was placed in the bag with open airways, can be removed and put on immediately ready for use.
Fig. 2 shows a flat pieces of the shape 1 and 2 existing bag with the wide welded edge 3. In this bag, as in Fig. 1, a rescue or breathing apparatus can be inserted who the. A rivet 11 is pulled through the welding edge on the upper part of the bag. The hanging loop 7 is located on this rivet and is suspended from a hook 8 provided at the work site. A small wedge-shaped incision 12 is made in the welding edge below the rivet. If the device is to be used, the device carrier pulls down on the hanging bag.
As a result, the part of the welding edge that lies above the incision 12 is torn out, and there is at the tip of the wedge-shaped A cut the possibility of tearing the bag apart on both sides.
