bedeuten.

mean. Mixtures of azo components of the formula (I) can also be used.
4,4'-Diamino-3,3'-dichlorodiphenyl is known. It can be tetrazotized as usual, preferably in hydrochloric acid solution by slowly adding a solution of sodium nitrite. The coupling reaction can be carried out in a weakly acidic, neutral or alkaline solution. It is often beneficial to add pyridine. You can also couple in organic solvents, e.g. B. in pyridine or in dioxane, or mix in solvents.
The new dyes are advantageously obtained by mechanical treatment, e.g. B. with the help of mills or roller mills, optionally together with dispersants, e.g. B. condensation products of naphthalenesulfonic acids and formaldehyde, processed into Pig ment dough. These can be used as such, but they can also be used e.g. B. dry by spraying and grind the powder obtained.
The new pigment dyes are very sparingly or insoluble in most solvents, they are suitable for dyeing paper and synthetic fibers in bulk, for printing textiles and paper, for coloring synthetic resins and plastic compounds, for coloring paints, as paints etc. They are characterized by excellent light fastness and good to very good washing, chlorine bleaching, over dyeing, blind vat, peroxide bleaching and dry cleaning,
Migration and solvent fastness of the dyeings.
The parts mentioned in the example are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight. The temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
Example 25.3 parts of 4,4'-diamino-3,3'-dichlorodiphenyl are stirred with 400 parts of water and 55 parts of 30% hydrochloric acid. The mixture is cooled to 0 by adding ice and tetrazotized with 13.8 parts of sodium nitrite as a 4N aqueous solution. 51.1 parts of 1-acetoacetylamino-2-methoxy -4-chloro-5-methylbenzene are dissolved in 800 parts of water and 22 parts of 30% strength sodium hydroxide solution.
After filtering, a mixture of 13 parts of glacial acetic acid and 100 parts of water and then 60 parts of crystallized sodium acetate5 dissolved in 100 parts of water are added to the solution, which has been cooled to 5 to 10 parts. The solution is then combined with the filtered tetrazo solution.
After the coupling has ended, the mixture is heated to 90 and kept at this temperature for one hour. The precipitated dye is filtered off, washed free of salt with water and dried. It is a yellow powder that is practically insoluble in water and in most organic solvents at room temperature. It colors polyvinyl chloride in deep yellow tones; the light and migration fastness properties are very good.
To convert the pigment into a pigment preparation, the crude, neutral washed filter cake is processed in a ball mill, roller mill or similar device, if necessary with the addition of water and the sodium salt of dinaphthyhnethane disulfonic acid, until the desired particle size is reached.
The pigment dough obtained can be used as such for textile printing, for dyeing paper pulp or for dyeing viscose in bulk, with yellow tones with very good fastness properties being achieved. The dough can also be processed into a pigment powder in a drying device, for example in an atomization dryer.
If 1-acetoacetylamino-2-methoxy-4-chloro-5-methyl-benzene is replaced by 1-aceto-acetylamino-2-ethoxy-4-chloro-5-methylbenzene, 1-acetoacetyl-amino-2-methoxy-4 -chlor-5-ethylbenzene or 1-ace- toacetylamino-2-ethoxy-4-chloro-5-ethylbenzene, if you get yellow pigments with good properties.
Dyeing instructions A) To 235 parts of an aqueous sodium cellulose exanthate solution with a content of 20 parts of α-cellulose, 10-15 2 parts of a 20% aqueous paste of the pigment dye preparation produced according to the example are added . The mass is stirred for a further 15 minutes to ensure that the dye suspension is evenly distributed in the viscose. The one so prepared
Viscose spinning mass is left to rest for a few hours at 4 so that the air that has been stirred in can escape, and it is then spun in a well-known manner through a nozzle unit into a sulfur-acid spinning bath. The wound threads are peeled off, washed, rinsed and dried. This gives intensely yellow-colored cellulose threads which are outstandingly fast to light, washing, chlorite, blind vats and over-dyeing.
B) A medium-deep coloration of the paper is achieved by adding 2 parts of a 10% strength aqueous paste of the pigment dye preparation obtained according to the example to a mixture of 100 parts of bleached sulfite cellulose in 2000 parts of water in the Hollander.
The colored paper pulp is then mixed with 40 parts of a 2.5% colophony resin soap mixture and then with 40 parts of a 5% aluminum sulfate solution in order to size the paper and simultaneously fix the pigment. The colored mass is processed into paper sheets in the usual way on the paper machine.
A yellow colored paper with good lightfastness and smoke gas fastness is obtained.
C) A dough of 100 parts of a 20% aqueous paste of the pigment preparation prepared according to the example, 400 parts of tragacanth (3%), 400 parts of a 50% aqueous egg albumin solution and 100 parts of a nonionic wetting agent is printed on a textile fiber fabric. It is dried and then steamed for half an hour at 100-101.
Instead of tragacanth and egg albumin, other binders commonly used for fixing pigments on the fiber, for example those based on synthetic resin, can be used.
D) 10 parts of the disazo dye obtained according to the example and dried are ground with 10 parts of secondary acetyl cellulose and 160 parts of acetone in a ball mill. The suspension is then poured into water, filtered off, washed with water and dried.
The dye preparation obtained in this way dyes acetate rayon in the spinning mass in a deep yellow. The dyeings are extremely fast to light, wash, over-dyeing, hydrosulfite, peroxide, smoke gas and dry cleaning fast.
E) 0.1 part of the disazo dye prepared according to the example is moistened with dioctyl phthalate and mixed with 100 parts of plasticized polyvinyl chloride composition. The colored mass is gelatinized on the mixing roll mill at about 140-150 for 10 minutes with friction, and the film is pulled off with synchronous rotation or low friction. A lightfast, excellent migrationfast yellow dyeing is obtained.
F) 5 parts of a 20% strength aqueous paste of the pigment dye preparation prepared according to the example are mixed with 95 parts of a streichfer term aqueous synthetic resin dispersion and brushed onto paper. Examples of aqueous synthetic resin dispersions are those based on vinyl acetate, acrylate or styrene-butadiene.
