Fig. 1 eine Draufsicht auf eine Rohr-Anschlussmuffe,
Fig. 4 ein Schnitt gemäss Linie IV-IV von Fig. 3,
Fig. 5 ein Schnitt gemäss Linie V-V von Fig. 3 und
Process for the production of a pipe connection socket and device for
Implementation of the procedure
Pipe connecting sleeves with sawtooth-shaped projections directed inward in rows are known. Such sleeves have so far mostly been made from sheet metal, the projections being formed by punched and bent tongues of the sheet metal itself.
The invention aims to make the mass production of such sleeves cheaper and at the same time to increase the quality of the sleeves, in particular to avoid rusting of the same. For the last purpose it is obvious to choose a plastic as the material, but because of the special shape of such sleeves it was difficult to find a suitable method for their mass production from plastic. The invention relates to a method for producing a pipe connection sleeve with inwardly directed, sawtooth-shaped projections arranged in rows, which solves this problem. It also relates to a device for carrying out this method as well as the pipe connecting socket produced by this method.
An exemplary embodiment of the method according to the invention is explained with the aid of the drawing. In the drawing is:
1 shows a plan view of a pipe connecting sleeve,
Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section through the sleeve according to line II-II of Fig. 1,
3 shows a longitudinal section through a mold used to produce the sleeve in the closed state,
4 shows a section along line IV-IV of FIG. 3,
Fig. 5 shows a section along line V-V of Fig. 3 and
Fig. 6 is a schematic representation of a detail in a variant.
The pipe connecting sleeve 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has a hollow cylindrical body 2, on the inner surface of which three rows 3 of projections offset from one another by 1200 are provided. Each row 3 comprises two groups of sawtooth-shaped projections 3a and 3b, the slightly inclined flanks 4a and 4b of which face one or the other end of the sleeve, while the flanks 5a and 5b face the center of the sleeve. In the middle of each row 3 there is a somewhat larger projection 6 with symmetrical, steep flanks.
If the socket is pushed onto a plastic pipe, the outside diameter of which is slightly smaller than the inside diameter of the socket body 2, but larger than the diameter corresponding to the tips of the projections, the slightly inclined flanks 4a or 4b only offer a small amount of resistance to pushing on the end of the tube meets the central projection 6, which prevents it from being pushed further. The projections 3a or 3b are pressed into the surface of the pipe, and the steep flanks 5a or 5b offer great resistance to the pulling away of the connecting sleeve 1 from the pipe.
If a second pipe is then pushed into it from the other side of the sleeve, this is also firmly connected to the sleeve in the same way and thus connected to the first pipe.
Of course, the sleeve can also be used to connect a pipeline to a tubular connection piece of any apparatus.
On the outside of the body 2 there are three small longitudinal ribs 7 offset from one another by 1200, which are important in the manufacture of the sleeve, which is injection-molded from plastic.
3-5 an injection mold 8 which is used for injection molding the sleeve 1 and which can be used on conventional injection molding machines is shown. The mold 8 has a lower part 9, an upper part 10 and a middle part 11. An ejector 12 works together with the mold 8 for the casting produced in it.
The lower part 9 consists for structural reasons of two, z. B. by means of screws, not shown, rigidly interconnected elements 9a and 9b. The element 9a has essentially the shape of a disk and is intended to be fastened by means of screws on the fixed injection head of an injection molding machine, which is not shown in the drawing. For this purpose, screw holes 13 are provided in element 9a, only one of which is visible in FIG. 3. The element 9a has at the bottom a central, conical recess 14 for the spray head, which is connected via an opening 15 to a spray channel 16 which is provided in the element 9b and narrows sharply upwards.
On its upper side, the element 9a also has a central, conical recess 17, which is adjoined by a short, cylindrical recess 18 in which the head 19 of the element 9b lies. The element 9b also has three from the head 19 parallel to the ideal axis of the form upwardly directed to 1200 mutually offset legs 20, which have a ring segment-shaped cross section which extends over a central angle of 600 with respect to the ideal axis of the form .
The cylindrical segment-shaped outer surfaces 21 and inner surfaces 22 of the legs 20 are smooth.
The upper part 10 consists of three elements 10a, 10b and 10c that are rigidly connected to one another.
The element 10a has essentially the shape of a disk and is intended to be attached to the movable plunger of the injection molding machine, also not shown, by means of screws, not shown. For this purpose screw holes 23 are provided in the element 10a, only one of which is visible. The element 10b has a head 24 which sits in a cylindrical recess 25 of the element 10a and from which a cylindrical rod 26 lying in the ideal axis of the shape protrudes downward, the outside diameter of which is equal to the inside diameter of the inside surfaces 21 of the legs 20 is.
The rod 26 is provided on its outer circumference with three longitudinal ribs 27 offset from one another by 1200, the cross-section of which is complementary to that of the legs 20, so that these legs 20 and the rod 26 with its ribs 27 complement each other to form a cylinder that forms the core of the to be produced sleeve 1 forms.
The longitudinal ribs 27 are not smooth on their outer surface, but each provided with a row 28 of depressions which corresponds to a row 3 of projections on the sleeve 1.
The element 10c of the upper part 10 is attached to the element 10a by means of Allen screws 29 '; it is in the form of a flange with an inwardly projecting shoulder 30 which comprises a complementary shoulder 31 of the central part 11 so that the latter is pivoted between the elements 10a and 10c. The middle part 11 has a conical projection 32 which fits into the recess 17 of the element 9a, as well as a cylindrical projection 33 which fits into an end of the recess 25 of the element 10a which is not filled by the element 10b.
In order to be able to pivot the central part 11, a radial arm 34 is attached to it and the element 10 is provided with an edge recess 35 extending at a central angle of 600, through which the arm 34 passes. The middle part 11 has a cylindrical bore 36 which corresponds to the outer surface of the sleeve 1 to be produced and is provided with three longitudinal grooves 37 offset by 1200, which serve to produce the longitudinal ribs 7.
The ejector 12 has a head 38 which is to be attached in a manner not shown in detail to a part of the injection molding machine which is movable with respect to the punch. From the head 38, three rods 39 parallel to the ideal axis of the shape 8, offset from one another by 1200 with respect to this axis, protrude downwards and pass through corresponding holes 40 in the elements 10a and 10b. The head 38 can, if necessary, consist of two parts screwed together to hold the rods 39 in place. The rods 39 can, however, be attached to the head 38 in any desired manner.
The described form 8 is used as follows:
In the closed position of the mold shown in Fig. 3, the liquid plastic is injected from the injection head of the injection molding machine through the channel 16 into the cavity 41, the inside through the outer surface of the complementary complementary core elements 20 and 27 and outside through the bore 36 of the central part 11 is limited and above and below by the heads 24 and 19. When the cavity 41 is filled with the injection compound, the latter solidifies very quickly, since at least the lower part 9 and the central part 11 of the mold 8 are provided with cooling channels, not shown the cooling water is directed.
The middle part 11 must first be pivoted by 600 by means of the arm 34, with the result that the sleeve 1 is also pivoted over its ribs 7 and its rows of protrusions 3 are pivoted out of the rows 28 of the depressions in the longitudinal ribs 27. The punch of the injection molding machine with the upper part 10 attached to it can then be pulled upwards, since the projections now slide on the outer surfaces 21 of the legs 20. After the sleeve has been pulled up from the legs 20 in this way, the machine part carrying the ejector 12 stops while the punch is moved further upwards.
As a result, the border is pushed, which on its periphery consists of two groups of longitudinally displaceable core elements (20, 27), the elements (27) of one group each being provided with a row (28) of sawtooth-shaped depressions on the outside and with the outside smooth elements (20) of the other group are arranged alternately so that the pivotable part (11) is pivoted after the casting compound has solidified, whereby the shape of its inner surface ensures that it takes the cast piece with it during this pivoting, so that the sawtooth-shaped projections - (3a, 3b) produced by the sawtooth-shaped recesses of the elements (27) of one group protrude from these recesses and the smooth outer surfaces of the elements (20)
face the other group, that the two groups of elements (20, 27) are then pulled apart and that the casting is finally conveyed out of the cavity.
