Frame for windows, doors, partition walls and the like. The invention relates to a frame for windows, doors, partition walls and the like made of frame strips, each of which consists of a metal profile with a plastic casing that determines the outline of the frame.
Frames made from such frame strips offer the advantage that the plastic, as a result of its resistance, completely protects the metal profile against chemical and atmospheric influences. He also has to do the renewal of paintwork.
In the known frame made of these strips, the plastic casing surrounds the metal profile as a closed tube. In this form, it is relatively difficult to apply the sheathing to the metal profile. The frames can only be formed from the strips after the metal profile has been coated with the plastic, so that it is not possible to weld the strips together to form the frame. If the plastic coating on the frame is damaged, it cannot be replaced.
According to the invention, the casing is interrupted and open over its entire length and the longitudinal opening is closed by a plastic closure strip defined by this opening delimiting the casing.
This makes it possible for the casing to be easily applied to a frame previously formed from metal profiles and to be renewed without disrupting the frame. The sheathing is placed around the strips from the long side, whereupon the longitudinal edges and the closure of the longitudinal opening are firmly attached to the metal profile by the closure strip. The sheathing can be removed and replaced by removing the closure strip. The drawing illustrates several exemplary embodiments of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows a vertical section of a pivoting sash window with double glazing, whose frame and sash are each made of a steel profile I-shaped cross-section drawn over with plastic.
Fig. 2 is a vertical section through a rotating sash window with single glazing, the frame and sash are each made of a plastic over drawn steel profile C-shaped cross-section be.
Fig. 3 shows in section a corner section of a double sash window with double glazing, the sash frame consists of plastic-coated square tube and in which the glass panes are held by glued-in plastic strips.
FIG. 4 is a cross-section through the central strips or stiles of the window of FIG.
Fig. 5 shows in section a window with double glazing in one of Fig. 3 similar execution, in which the mounting of the glass panes is made by dovetail-like clamped angle profiles.
FIG. 6 shows a window with single glazing which is identical to the window in FIG.
In the window according to FIG. 1, the metal profiles of the frame strips of the sash consist of I-shaped hollow profiles 1 and the metal profiles of the frame strips of the window frame consist of solid profiles 2 of the same cross-sectional shape. The frame or the sash is provided with a casing 3, 4 or 3 ', 4' made of profiled plastic, which gives the outline shape of the sash or Blendrah mens.
According to the pivoting sash window shown in Fig. 1, the sheaths each have two interruptions over their entire length, so that each sheath is divided into several strips lying in the longitudinal direction of the Me tallprofils, which offers the advantage that parts of the sheath are replaced if necessary can be. This also facilitates the sheathing of metal profiles of a more complex shape. In this way, the sheathing can also be multicolored, in that the individual stripes have different colors.
The inner longitudinal edges of the strips have unspecified beads that engage in the relevant Me tallprofile, which in Fig. 1 for this purpose between the flanges 5 and 6 has a channel-like, also unspecified depression.
A closure strip 7 or 8, 8 'made of plastic, which is thickened on the side facing the relevant metal profile, is inserted into each longitudinal opening of the casing. The closure strips and the longitudinal openings in the sheaths, delimited by the edge beads, have a dovetail-shaped cross section. The narrow side of this cross-section is on the side facing away from the metal profile in question.
Between the frame and the casement, the closure strips 8 have approaches which form stops, while the closure strips 7a on the casement have approaches which serve to hold the glass panes 12 and which in this case with the glued-in strips 9 on one side of the casement and work together with approaches to the casing on the other side of the sash.
In Fig. 2 a casement window is shown, in which the stick or frame and the casement are formed using C-shaped metal profiles 10, i. H. of rectangular, box-shaped hollow profiles in cross section, which have a continuous opening in one side. This continuous opening forms a longitudinal gap here.
The casing 11 or 11 'made of plastic is placed around the hollow profiles 10 and engages in the opening of the metal hollow profiles with beads on their opening edges. The closure strip 13 is inserted between the beads of the opening edges of the casing 11 '. The stops 14 and 15 and the stop shoulders 16, 16 'are located on the plastic casing 11 or II'. With 17 the resulting gully on the lower cross member of the frame is designated net.
The embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4 shows a double-sash window, the sash frame each using strips in the form of a closed rectangular metal hollow profile 18 are gebil det. To this metal hollow profile, the jacket 19 made of plastic is placed, which has a longitudinal opening on one longitudinal side. The beads on the edges of this longitudinal opening form ribs 31 on the side facing away from the metal hollow profile.
A closure strip 20 made of plastic is placed on this longitudinal opening, which at the same time forms a stop and engages over the ribs 31 at the edges of the opening. In the closure strip 20 depressions 32 are provided, into which the ribs 31 insert themselves at the opening edges of the casing. The closure strip 20 contains a retaining strip 21 and is attached to the hollow metal profile 18 together with this by means of screws 33. The glass panes 22 are fastened by plastic strips 23 which are glued to the casing and which cooperate with a shoulder 34 of the casing which engages between the panes 22.
The existing frame from a U-profile 24 blend is covered with the stops 35 forming plastic profile 25.
The sash frames shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 have angled profiles 27 made of plastic for holding the glass panes 26, which are clamped onto the longitudinal edges 36 facing away from the frame and with their dovetail-like lugs 28 in corresponding recesses in the casing profiles 29 and 30 a grab.
