<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Anchor escapement for a timepiece movement The present invention relates to an anchor escapement for a timepiece movement, in which the anchor comprises a body having limit stops and lifts, the latter cooperating with the anchor wheel. to limit the amplitude of the anchor oscillations.
Exhausts of this type have been produced with the aim of simplifying the assembly of the escapement by avoiding the reversal pins which are usually placed on either side of the rod of the anchor and which are driven into the plate. . Known anchors, provided with limit stops cooperating with the anchor wheel,
like most conventional anchors include adjustable lifts secured with shellac in slots which are made in the body of the anchor.
However, as the limit stops are intended to come to rest against the impulse plane of one of the teeth of the anchor wheel when the engagement of the corresponding lift in the path of this wheel .a reaches the desired value, the limit stops must necessarily be adjusted according to the position of the corresponding lift.
In some cases, the function of the limit stop is fulfilled by the lift itself which abuts against the base of the tooth before the rest plane of the tooth comes to block against the rest plane of the lift.
The base of the teeth must then have a different shape: the usual shape. When the limit stops are separate from the lifts,
they cannot be formed by parts of the body of the anchor because the adjustment of the position of the stop according to the position of the lift would then no longer be possible. To get around this difficulty,
we sought to provide the anchor with two paï.- res of adjustable parts. Each of the arms of the anchor then has two slots located in the vicinity of one another and .in each of which is engaged an element, generally in ruby, one of which serves as a lift,
and the other acts as a limit stop. Each limit stop is placed in the vicinity of the corresponding lift on the side opposite to the direction of rotation of the anchor wheel.
This arrangement increases and complicates the construction of the anchor. It is practically impracticable in clock movements of small dimensions such as wristwatches for example.
The object of the present invention is to produce an escapement of the type mentioned above, the construction and assembly of which are simpler than for the devices already known without the operating precision being affected.
For this, the exhaust according to. of the invention is characterized in that the lifts and the limit stops are made integrally with the body of the anchor and in that their active faces are formed by surface elements of the anchor. slice of the anchor body.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the lever escapement according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view from above, and FIG. 2 is a sectional view, some elements being only partially shown.
We see in fig. 1, an anchor which is formed from a single piece A, the outline of which is obtained by cutting and grinding a metal plate. This anchor cooperates with an anchor wheel E of customary construction, each tooth of which has an impulse plane g.
The corns A of the anchor has in the vicinity of the free end of each of its lateral arms a heel b which is limited by a rectilinear edge of which
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
the orientation is such that it is pressed against the g impulse plane of a tooth of the pout,
I anchor when the anchor is in one of its extreme positions. The anchor A presents, on the other hand,. Stalks a playing the role of lifting and .décalées each to the right of FIG. 1 with respect to the heel b located at the end of the same arm of the anchor. Each ides "Galons has a flat posterior face constituting the plane of the lifting impulse and
a lateral face forming with the impulse plane an angle, determined with precision, this lateral face constituting the rest plane of the lift.
The body A comprises an elongated part which constitutes the rod of the anchor and .at the end of which extends a widened part having an opening e. This opening constitutes the entry of the ellipse. It is cut and rectified during the same operation as the lifting a and the tallons b.
The widened end of the rod is further cut so that its leading edge forms a projection which constitutes the stinger. A milling in. arc of a circle d. leaves only a thin veil from the anterior part c extending to the level of the lower face of the body A.
We see in fig. 1 that the edge of the milling d delimits between the entry e and the front edge of the anchor two symmetrical elements which constitute the horns.
The Décriai escapement regulates the oscillations of a balance shown partially in fig. 2 and the shaft of which carries an annular part B which forms the large and the small plate. This part thus has an upper circular collar constituting the large plate and having a lateral finger f constituting
the ellipse. This finger is obtained by cutting and grinding.
The pivoting of the anchor is ensured by a necked and cut support D which has in its central part a tenon engaging in an opening that has the body of the anchor.
The support D is fixed to the plate of a clockwork movement by screws which secure to the support D a plate C extending above the anchor. The support D has in its upper face a circular rib coaxial with its tenon. .and on which the anchor rests. The frolic of the anchor in.
height is given by the distance which separates the upper face of this circular rib and the lower face of the plate C.
The anchor described came entirely in one piece and the operations necessary for its manufacture are the most reduced. It can be formed entirely by a cutting and milling operation and all the active elements of the anchor, dart, entry of ellipses, lifts, limit stops, pivot opening,
can be rectified simultaneously with a single stamp stroke. The anchor can be cut, for example, from a plate of a light metal such as anticorodal. To give its active faces a hardness allowing the operation of the anchor without wear, it can be subjected to a treatment such as anodic oxidation,
which reproduces no modification of the dimensions of the part.
Thanks to the fact that the tufts of the active surfaces of the anchor and in particular the active faces of the limiting stops and the lifts as well as the internal face of the central opening of the anchor are formed by surface portions of the anchor. slice of the body,
they can be rectified simultaneously during the same operation by means of a stamp having the required precision so that no further adjustment is necessary.
The manufacture of the anchor described could also be done by molding: plastic material for example or by sintering of a self-lubricating material.
Finally, the thin veil which constitutes the stinger could also, depending on the assembly @du pendulum, extend to the level of the upper face of the body of the anchor, the horns extending lower than the stinger.
