EMI0001.0006

EMI0001.0006
where x is a low molecular weight alkyl radical, y is a halogen atom or a low molecular weight alkyl radical and z is an amino group, e.g.
B. mean an acylamino group, the nucleus A still genatome by a sulfonic acid group and the benzene nucleus B by further halogen atoms, amino, z. B. acylamino or low molecular weight alkyl groups or can be substituted by alkoxy groups and sulfonic acid groups.
The process for the preparation of the anthraquinone dyes of the formula (I) consists in that 1 mol of an anthraquinone of the formula
EMI0001.0030

treated with a halogenating agent.
In dyes of the formula (I) obtained according to the invention, the radical z, if it denotes an acylamino group, can optionally also be hydrolyzed.
If, on the other hand, it is an acylatable amino group, this can optionally be acylated. Benzene nuclei B in compounds of the formula (I) obtained according to the invention which have no sulfonic acid groups can, if appropriate, be sulfonated subsequently.
As the starting substance of the formula (II), for. B. possible: the sodium, potassium and lithium salts of 1-amino-4-bromo-anthraquinone-2-sulphonic acid, 1-amino-4-bromo-2,5-, -2,6-, -2,7- or -2,8-disulfonic acid.
Of the amines of the formula (III) to be used according to the invention are, for. B. the following mentioned: 1,3-diamino-2,6-dimethylbenzene, 1-amino-2,6-dimethyl-3-acetylaminobenzene, 1,3-diamino-2,6-dimethylbenzene-5-sulfonic acid, 1,3-diamino-2,4,6-trimethylbenzene, 1-amino-2,4,6-trimethyl-3-acetylaminobenzene, 1,3-diamino-2,4,6-trimethylbenzene-5-sulfonic acid, 1- Amino-2,5-dimethyl-4-acetylaminobenzene, 1,4-diamino-2,5-dimethylbenzene, 1,3-diamino-2,6-diethylbenzene, 1-amino-2,

The dyes obtained by the process according to the invention are suitable for dyeing wool, silk and synthetic polyamide fibers from neutral to acidic dyebaths in lively, rich blue tones of good lightfastness and good wet fastnesses (fastness to washing, water, flexing and perspiration ). The dyeings also have good fastness to rubbing, ironing and dry cleaning. The dyes of the formula (I),
which contain an amino group or an acylamino group free of reactive halogen atoms and / or double bonds in core B, reserve cotton, viscose, rayon, acetate and triacetate rayon and polyester fibers well. However, if the dyes contain acylamino groups with reactive halogen atoms (e.g.
B. chloroacetylamino or f-chloropropionylamino groups), they can be used for dyeing, padding and printing cotton and the other natural and regenerated cellulose fibers as well as wool and leather in light, washing, milled, sweat, water , seawater, soda boiling, ironing and rubbing blue tones can be used.
In the following examples, the parts are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
Example 1 A solution of 92 parts of 1,3-diamino-2,4,6-trimethylbenzene-5-sulfonic acid and 24 parts of sodium carbonate in 200 parts of water is added to the suspension of 81 parts 1-amino-4-bromo-anthraquinone-2-sulphonic acid sodium, 2 parts of copper bronze, 2 parts of copper chloride and 32 parts of sodium carbonate in 200 parts of water. The mass is first brought to 50-55 and stirred for 20 hours at this temperature.
Then they are heated to 60-65 until the 1-amino-4-bromo-anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid disappears. The mass is poured into 1000 parts of water and the free dye acid is precipitated with 350 parts of 30 hydrochloric acid. It is filtered off, washed with dilute hydrochloric acid solution, then made into a paste with sodium carbonate until it becomes a neutral paste and dried. After drying, a dark blue powder is obtained which dissolves in water with a blue color.
Wool, silk and synthetic polyamide fibers are dyed in lively, rich shades of blue.
The procedure for dyeing is as follows, for example: 100 parts of woolen cloth are placed in a dyebath consisting of 5000 parts of water, 10 parts of sodium sulfate and 1 part of dye. He heats the dye liquor in the course of a quarter of an hour to 100, holds it at this temperature for half an hour, gives her 20 parts of a 10 ohigen aqueous acetic acid solution and ends the dye ben by heating to 100 for another 30 minutes.
During the dyeing process, the evaporated water is continuously replaced. The blue-dyed wool is then taken from the liquor, rinsed with water and dried.
Dissolve 5.4 parts of the dye obtained in 50 parts of water and add 2 parts of acetic anhydride to this solution with the addition of 3 parts of sodium bicarbonate at a temperature of 60-70, so after precipitation with 10 parts of sodium chloride and after Cool and filter a new dye: 1-amino-4- (2 ', 4', 6'-trimethyl 3'-acetylamino) -phenylaminoanthraquinone-2,5'-disulfonic acid sodium. He dyes wool from an acid bath in blue, lively, lightfast and washfast shades.
5.4 parts of the dye obtained in accordance with paragraph 1 of Example 1 are dissolved in 50 parts of water and the solution is brought to 40 parts. While maintaining a pH of 8 to 9 by adding a 10% strength sodium carbonate solution, decyl chloroformate is added dropwise until no starting material can be determined by chromatography. The new dye, as indicated in Example 1, iso liert. It dyes wool, silk and synthetic polyamide fibers in lively red-blue tones.
The colors are wash, mill, sweat and lightfast. Example 2 A mixture consisting of 30 parts of 1-amino-4-bromoanthraquinone-2-sulphonic acid sodium, 20 parts of sodium bicarbonate, 0.6 parts of copper bronze, 2 parts of copper sulfate and 29 parts of 1- Amino-3-acetylamino-2,6-dimethylbenzene in 400 parts of water for 18 hours at 70-75 and the resulting dye is isolated from the reaction mixture by adding sodium chloride and subsequent filtration.
After drying at 100, the dye is in the form of a reddish-tinged blue powder. The pure blue solution in concentrated sulfuric acid turns green when formaldehyde is added. The dye dyes wool from neutral or acetic acid bath in no blue tones.
This dye can be re-sulfonated to increase its solubility: 9 parts of the dye are dissolved in 30 parts of sulfuric acid monohydrate, 10 parts of 25% oleum are added and the mixture is stirred at 40 until there are no more starting materials. Then the whole thing is poured onto a solution of 120 parts of potassium chloride in 400 parts of water and the dyestuff which has separated out is filtered off, washed neutral with a potassium chloride solution and dried at 100%.
It dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a blue-violet color, which shifts to a pale blue green when formaldehyde is added. Wool is dyed in reddish-tinged blue tones from a vinegar-acid bath. The acetylamino group of this dye can be saponified by boiling in 15% hydrochloric acid for 10 to 12 hours.
The dye obtained dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a blue-violet color, which shifts to greenish blue on the addition of formaldehyde. Example 3 A suspension consisting of 30 parts of 1-amino-4-bromoanthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium, 0.7 parts of copper bronze, 0.7 parts of copper chloride and 27 parts of 1.3, 5-triamino-2,4,6-trimethylbenzene in a solution of 12 parts of sodium bicarbonate in 100 parts of water for 50 hours at 50.
The dye is precipitated from the reaction mixture by sprinkling in sodium chloride, filtered off, washed neutral with a solution of sodium chloride and dried at 100%. It dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a bluish red color, which turns blue on the addition of formaldehyde to Bein.
For dyeing, 100 parts of wool are added to a dyebath consisting of 10 parts of sodium sulfate, 2 parts of acetic acid, 2 parts of dye and 4000 parts of water at room temperature and heated to boiling temperature in 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, a further 2 parts of acetic acid are added and the mixture is kept at boiling temperature for another half hour. Then the dyed material is rinsed with water, swung out and dried.
Example 4 54 parts of 1-amino-4-bromo-anothrachinone-2,6-disulphonic acid potassium, 26 parts of 1-amino-2,4-dimethyl-3-acetylaminobenzene and 1.2 parts are suspended Copper bronze in a solution of 40 parts of sodium bicarbonate in 550 parts of water and the suspension is stirred for 12 hours at 70 and then for 10-15 hours at 80 until everything is 1-amino-4-bromo-anthraquinone-2,6-disulfonic acid Potassium is implemented.
After a little undissolved residue has been filtered off, the dye solution is made weakly acidic with hydrochloric acid and potassium chloride is added until the dye has precipitated. It is filtered off, washed neutral with a potassium chloride solution and dried at 100.
40 parts of 1-amino-4- (2 ', 4'-dimethyl-3'-acetyl-amino) -phenylamino-anthraquinone-2,6-disulfonic acid potassium are dissolved in 400 parts of 94% sulfuric acid and at 0-5 within 7 parts of bromine were added for 2 hours. To end the bromination, the mass is stirred for a further 12 hours at room temperature, then discharged onto 600 parts of ice. The precipitated reaction product is filtered off, washed neutral with a sodium chloride solution and dried at 100.
The dye is in the form of a blue powder that dissolves in sulfuric acid with a purple color. The color of the sulfuric acid solution changes to blue-green when formaldehyde is added. He dyes wool from an acid bath in lively and washable blue tones.
Example 5 A mixture of 27 parts of 1-amino-4-bromoanthraquinone-2,6-disulphonic acid potassium, 27 parts of sodium bicarbonate, 18 parts of 1,3,5-triamino-2,4,6 is stirred -trimethylbenzene, 0.3 part of copper bronze and 0.9 part of copper chloride in 250 parts of water for 80 hours, if necessary while passing a weak stream of carbonic acid gas through it, at 40, until no 1-amino-4-bromoanthraquinone-2,6-disulfonic acid Potassium is more present.
The dye is then isolated by sprinkling in sodium chloride. The dye, dried at 100, dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a red-orange color, which shifts to greenish blue on addition of formaldehyde.
Example 6 A suspension consisting of 27 parts of 1-amino-4-bromoanthraquinone-2,6-disulphonic acid potassium, 0.4 part of copper bronze, 17 parts of 1,3-diamino-2-meth- yl 4,6-diethylbenzene in a solution of 25 parts of calcined sodium carbonate and 1.2 parts of copper chlorine in 65 parts of ethyl alcohol and 200 parts of water is stirred for about 20 hours at 80-85 until the reaction has ended. The reaction solution is filtered hot from the residue, whereupon the dye is separated from the filtrate with sodium chloride.
The dyestuff, dried at 100, dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a red-tinged blue color, which shifts to green-tinged blue on addition of formaldehyde.
The present dye can be acylated, e.g. B. acrylated, are. To this end, 12 parts of dye are dissolved in 200 parts of water and 6 parts of acrylic acid chloride are added dropwise at 0 and a pH of 7-8 over 1 hour. The mixture is then left to stir for a few more hours until all of the starting dye has been acrylated. The reaction mixture is poured into a sodium chloride solution, whereupon the acrylated dye precipitates. It is filtered off and dried at 100.
The reddish blue color of the solution in concentrated sulfuric acid changes to greenish blue when formaldehyde is added.
