Method and device for profiling and dressing grinding wheels for machining gears The invention relates to a method and a device for dressing and profiling a grinding wheel for grinding gears with means of circumferential and flank profiling tools, which are controlled with their drive members moved with respect to the grinding wheel axis .
The dressing of grinding wheels for Her provide or reworking of gears or similar workpieces is a very difficult process, especially 'with grinding wheels that rest on the entire profile between the teeth.
The various modern tooth shapes very often have additional corrections of the circular involute as well as fillets and arches to reinforce the tooth roots, which have to be reproduced very precisely during grinding.
Known measuring devices on the grinding machines for gear grinding are incomplete and difficulties arise in the precise setting of the dressing tools with respect to the grinding wheel axis.
The purpose of the invention is to eliminate these disadvantages and to create a method and a device in which not only the dressing tools but also the various carriages carrying them. can be set precisely.
The method according to the invention consists in that on the surface of a cylindrical drum an unequal-sided right-angled triangle is provided, the large leg of which runs parallel to the grinding wheel axis, whose small leg forms a generatrix of the cylinder and whose angle between the hypotenuse and the large leg is dimensioned in this way that the heights of the various tooth shapes to be profiled correspond to the lengths of the perpendicular to the large cathetus delimited by the mortgage,
and the displacement path of a control slide carrying a curve template for actuating the flank profiling tools is limited by the flypothenuse and the large cathetus.
A suitable device for carrying out the method is characterized by a circumferential dressing tool which is pivotably mounted on a circumferential dressing slide approximately in the horizontal plane running through the grinding wheel axis, by two flank dressing tools arranged symmetrically on both sides of the grinding wheel, which are mounted on a flank dressing slide guided on the circumferential dressing slide , also by a control slide,
which is guided on the flank dressing slide and carries actuators for moving the dressing tools, and finally by a cylindrical drum with a scale on its peripheral edge, rotatably and lockably mounted in the peripheral dressing slide, with an axis of rotation parallel to the control slide movement, which has a groove in its shell, one side surface of which lies in a plane perpendicular to the drum axis of rotation and the other side surface in a plane inclined to the axis of rotation, a stop firmly connected to the control slide engaging in the groove,
so that the groove side walls limit the displacement of the control slide.
An embodiment of the device is shown in the drawing.
They show: FIG. 1 a schematic representation of the movements of the dressing tools on the grinding wheel profile, FIG. 2 a longitudinal section through a micrometrically adjustable tool holder, FIG. 3 a view of the tool holder according to FIG. 2, FIG. 4 a section through the Tool holder according to FIG. 2, corresponding to the section line AA, FIG. 5 is a longitudinal section through the device according to the invention,
6 shows a top view of the device according to FIG. 5, FIG. 7 shows an end view of the device at the end carrying the dressing tools, FIG. 8 shows a cross section through the device according to section line IV-A in FIG. 5, FIG. 9 shows a Cross section through the device according to the section line VA in Figure 5,
and FIG. 10 shows a schematic representation of the dressing tools at the moment of infeed.
The dressing tools can be seen on an enlarged scale from FIG. 1: A circumferential dressing tool 1 is provided which dress the outer circular arc of the grinding wheel 2. There are also flank dressing tools 3 and 4 which profile the flanks of this grinding wheel. At 3 'the flank dressing tool 3 is shown in the position in which it rests at the intersection of the profile curves of the grinding wheel 2, while the dressing tool 1 at the same time is outside the circumferential curve 2A, which it has just dressed.
The circumferential dressing tool 1 is set in a pivoting movement indicated by the arrows A and B, it being displaced longitudinally according to the arrows C and D under the action of a cam described below. This displacement is generally limited to 1 or 2 mm. The dressing tools 3 and 4 are symmetrically pivoted apart and together, as indicated by the arrows E and F. Panning is effected by a reducing pantograph, as described further below. Simultaneously with the swivel movement they are each a little bit in the direction of arrows G and H, for. B. moved back and forth about 11/2 mm above the height of the tooth.
In Fig. 2 a longitudinal section through a work tool carrier for a tool of the type designated in Fig. 1 with 3 and 4 is shown. The carrier has a support sleeve 5 in which the tool shaft 6, which is prismatic in cross section, can slide. The latter is extended backwards in the form of a threaded pin 7. The pin passes through a support ring 8 and a washer 9 and is then screwed into an adjusting ring 10. It is extended beyond this by a cylindrical pin 7 '- at the end of which a head 11 is riveted. The adjusting ring 10 is screwed into the support sleeve 5 with a right-hand thread. A disk 12 is supported on a shoulder 13 in the interior of the sleeve.
A compression spring 14 is clamped between the disks 9 and 12, which presses the adjusting ring 10 upwards and thereby causes a pressure in the thread of the adjusting ring. A second compression spring 15 has the same function with respect to the pin 7, so that its thread also works together with the clamping and without play with the mating thread in the adjusting ring. The adjusting ring is provided with a 100-part scale 16 (Fig. 3). The pitch of the thread on the pin 7 is smaller than that on the outer surface of the support sleeve. The decimal scale enables the tip of the workpiece to be set with an accuracy of about a hundredth of a millimeter.
The tool carrier for the circumferential dressing tool described below is designed in a similar manner and is only longer.
The device shown in Figure 5 and 8 rests on a dovetail guide 17 which belongs to an unrelated part of a grinding machine. A circumferential dressing slide 18, which can be driven by a screw spindle 19 which works together with a spindle nut 20, can be displaced on this guide. The latter is fastened to the slide 18 by means of screws 21.
A second slide 22, to be designated as a flank dressing slide, can be displaced along a dovetail guide 23 which forms part of the slide 18. A third slide 24, called the control slide, is movable along a dovetail guide 24A provided on the slide 22.
With the latter, a stop 25 is firmly connected by screws 26 ben. The stop can be moved back and forth in a groove 26A which is machined into the jacket of a cylindrical drum 27. The groove has essentially the shape of a right triangle in the development. The drum is keyed onto an axis 28. The axle can be clamped to the slide 18 by means of a wheel nut 30, a shoulder 29 of the axle being pressed firmly against a wall of the slide 18. The drum 27 can be rotated with the wheel nut 30 loosened by means of a handle pushed onto the square end of the axle and brought into the correct angular position with the aid of a scale 32 (FIG. 6).
In this position the drum is blocked by tightening the wheel nut.
A hydraulic working cylinder 33 is firmly connected to the control slide 24. The piston rod 34 of the piston belonging to this cylinder is held firmly in a wall of the flank dressing slide 22 with the aid of a nut. The pressure medium supply to the cylinder 33 takes place via lines 35 and 36, wherein a throttle valve 36A is switched into the line 36, which allows regulation of the flow rate of the pressure medium.
A double tooth segment 38 is pivotably mounted in the slide 18 by means of a rotation axis 39. This is provided with two toothed segments 40 and 40A, the toothed segment 40A having a larger radius than the toothed segment 40. In the embodiment shown, the radius ratio is 5: 1. On the control slide 24 is a toothed rack 37 which meshes with the outer toothed segment 40A. The flank dressing slide 22 has a toothed rack 41, which in turn meshes with the inner toothed segment 40.
With the selected radius ratio, the flank dressing slide 22 moves with respect to the control slide 24 with five times the reduction, d. H. when the control slide moves along a distance which corresponds to the distance between the stop 25 and the wall 25 'of the groove 26A, then the flank dressing slide 22 travels a distance five times smaller. This smaller distance is chosen in all cases so that it corresponds to the height of the tooth profile to be generated.
The control slide 24 carries a curve template 42 which is inserted centered in a groove 43 and fastened with screws 44. Lugs 45 and 46, which are each arranged at the ends of two levers 47 and 48, rest on the profile curves of this template. These levers are pivotably mounted on a pin 49 in the manner of scissors, the mounting being effected by means of ball bearings 50 and 51. The ball bearings are protected by seals 52. At the other end of the lever 47 and 48 recesses for micrometric tool carriers 53 and 54 are provided. These tool carriers are each Weil held in the recess by a bolt 55 and 56, which is supported on a flange 57 of the tool carrier. Two springs 47A and 48A hold the noses 45 and 46 in contact with the profile curves of the templates 42.
A third dressing tool 58 is provided for dressing the circumference of the grinding wheel 2. This is stored in a micrometric tool holder 59, which is essentially identical to those described above and only has a greater length. It is mounted in the main support 60 and secured against rotation by engaging in a groove 61. In the axial direction of the tool carrier is pressed by springs 64, 65 against a guide template 63 rollers. A guide roller 62 which can roll on the roller guide template is mounted in one arm of the carrier.
The Fe countries are supported on the walls 66 and 67 with their one ends and with their other ends on the Tra verse 70 connected to the tool carrier. They are guided by rods 68, 69 which are screwed into the traverse 70 with their one ends and the walls 66, 67 pass through holes at their other ends.
The main carrier 60 is rotatably mounted on a cylindrical roller track 75, this roller track in grooves offset by 90 to one another on ordered rollers 75 '. The rollers are held free of play by disc springs 76 which are pushed onto a bolt 77. The bolt 77 is through. a wedge 78 is secured against rotation and is held in place axially by means of a cover 79 and a snap ring 80. The aforementioned device is fastened to the circumferential dressing slide 18 by means of a pin 80A (FIGS. 6 and 8) which is mounted and held in place in a ring 80B by means of a screw 80C.
The main carrier 60 has a lever 81, in the end of which a pin 82 is inserted, around which a connecting rod 83 is rotatable at one end, while the other end of the connecting rod is connected to a pin 84. This pin has a square head and is firmly clamped by a nut 86 and washers 86A in a groove 85 with a T-shaped cross section. This groove is worked into a lever 87 which is firmly connected to a pin 88. This pin can be rotated in a bore of a bridge-shaped bearing block 89 which is fastened to the flank dressing slide 22 by means of screws 90.
A lever 91 which is arranged below the bridge-shaped bearing block 89 is keyed to the pin 88 and has a fork 91A at the other end. A pin 92, which is firmly connected to the curve template 42, engages in this fork.
This device works as follows: When a pressure medium is introduced into the hydraulic working cylinder 33, the working cylinder moves and takes the control slide 24 with the pin 92 with it. As a result of its engagement in the fork 91A, this pivoted the lever 91 so that the pin 88 rotates in the bridge-shaped bearing block. As a result, the lever 87 is pivoted, which moves the connecting rod 83, so that the main carrier 60 is set in pivoting motion with the cross member 70.
The guide roller 62 rolls on the roller guide template 63, precisely following its profile as a result of the pressure exerted by the springs 64 and 65. The axial movements of the traverse 70 with the guide roller carrier are transferred to the carrier 59 of the circumferential dressing tool. The circumferential dressing tool 58 per filiert the circumference of the grinding wheel 2 depending on the speed on the roller guide template 63 before seen profile. The template 63 is attached to a bridge 93 with screws 93A.
The levers 47 and 48 slide with their upper surfaces 47B and 48B (FIG. 9) on the underside of the bridge 93 and with their underside on the surface of the control slide 24 and a support and cover strip 94.
The screw spindle 19 is secured against axial movement by a shoulder 95 which can be clamped with a nut, not shown, on a wall 96 of the machine part 17A. At the other end, the screw spindle passes through a drum 98, the hub 98A of which is keyed onto it. The not visible wedge lies in a groove 99. The screw spindle has a square end 19A for pushing on a handwheel.
It can be seen that the entire dressing device can be shifted on the guide 17 with great accuracy, moving away from the axis of the grinding wheel 2 or approaching this axis. The axis is denoted by 2C in FIG.
The routes traveled in this way can be read off with great accuracy on a scale 102 in millimeters. A pointer X, which is attached to the circumferential dressing slide 18, works together with this scale. Furthermore, the reading can take place on the drum 98, which is provided with a scale on its circumference, each graduation of which represents five thousandths of a millimeter. In order to make the control of the adjustment movements complete, the constant distance between the axis of the grinding wheel and from the zero point of the scale 102 is given as 0.325.
The distance between the swivel axis of the circumferential dressing tool and the pointer X is given as 55 mm. The distance between the pivot pin 49 of the levers 47, 48 from the pointer X is 85 mm.
As mentioned above, the drum 27 has a micrometric scale graduation 32, in which the distance between the large marking lines 32A corresponds to one millimeter on the inner generatrix of the groove 26A. These generators are located between the side wall 25 'and the inclined surface of the stop 25. The corresponding generator is indicated in Fig. 6 by a double arrow. Under these circumstances, the decimal tick marks 32B permit direct reading of tenths of a millimeter. Hundredths of a millimeter can easily be estimated with a micro-reader (not shown).
The following describes the relationships between the measuring devices of the various tools and organs with regard to the scale 102 and the drum 27: As already mentioned above, the length of the tools 53A, 54A and 58 extends from the tip 6A to the flange 5A (Fig. 3). Furthermore, since the distance between the axes of the recesses for the tool carriers 53 and 54 from the pivot point is just as known as the distance between the respective reference flange 54 or 57A from the main axis of the device, the distance between the tool tips is measured from one another when the curve template 42 is completely is withdrawn, d. H. when the stop 25 of the control slide 24 rests against the side wall 27A of the groove 26A.
At the end of the curve template 42 a mark 2.6 is attached. This means that the distance between the tips of the tools 53A and 54A is 2.6 mm. The operator only needs to set the adjusting rings to markings 16 and 16A. The markings 16 are placed on the adjusting rings and the markings 16A on the outside of the support sleeves of the tool carriers, as shown in FIG. The tool tips are thus both symmetrical to the grinding wheel and arranged at equal distances from the main axis of the dressing device.
The circumferential profiling tool 58, the work stop of which is the roller guide template 63, is set in the same way. Depending on its course, this is provided with a marking, e.g. B. a mark + 0.4, which indicates that the tip of the tool 58 must be moved by + 0.4 towards the grinding wheel, in relation to the standard value of the tooth module to be profiled, on which the tool is regularly calibrated.
These readjustments of the dressing tools are carried out every time tooth systems have to be ground with a different module, which requires the roller guide template 63 and the curve template 42 to be replaced.
After the device has been set in the manner described above, it works as follows: A pressure medium is fed to the hydraulic working cylinder 33 through the line 36, which flows through the throttle valve 36A, whereby the inflow speed of the pressure medium and thus the displacement speed of the cylinder 33 is limited. The cylinder 33 moves in the direction of the arrow S and takes the control slide 24 with the curve template 42 with it. The latter penetrates between the long arms of the levers 47 and 48 and spreads them. The pin 92 takes the fork 91A with it. Via the pin 84, the connecting rod 83 and the lever 81, the main carrier 60 and thus the tool 58 are set in pivoting motion.
The guide roller 62 rolls on the roller guide template 63. Meanwhile, the tools 53A and 54A move away from each other, as a result of the spreading of the levers carrying them through the curve template 42. Simultaneously with these processes, the control slide 24 takes the large toothed sector 38 with it by means of the rack 37. The toothed sector 40 drives the rack 41 and thus displaces the flank dressing slide 22, which carries the flank dressing tools 53A and 54A, to a correspondingly lesser extent.
In the meantime, the grinding wheel 2 has been rotated. The screw spindle 19 is driven by the operator or by a motor and the entire dressing device moves towards the grinding wheel 2. The flank dressing tools 53A and 54A already act on the corners of the grinding wheel profile, as can be seen from FIG. 10, while the tool 58 dresses the circumference of the profile when the pointer X comes to lie opposite the zero mark on the scale 102.
The working cylinder 33 is moved back and forth in both directions until the dressing is finished in the manner indicated above.
