Description
Process for dyeing textile fibers black with sodium diphenylamino-para-sulfamate with prior oxidation The present invention relates to a new process for dyeing plant, animal, artificial and synthetic textile fibers black with diphenylamino-para -sodium sulphamate, and with prior oxidation of the fibers.
The invention is characterized in that this prior oxidation or oxidative mordanting is carried out using sodium chlorite. An oxidation of textiles prior to dyeing with aniline black is already known from French patents Nos. 333386 and 557452. According to these patents, chromic acid, chromates or bichro mates in acid solution, iron nitrate, are used as oxidant. . On the other hand, French patent No. 594325 describes the dyeing of wool in an acid bath using the sodium salt of the sulfonic combination of p-amino-diphenyl-amine (sodium diphenylamino-para-sulfamate); the dyeing is here followed by a dichromate oxidation.
The prior oxidation carried out with the oxidants cited in these patents leads to blacks with a bluish or reddish tint, while the prior oxidation using sodium chlorite gives a beautiful deep black.
The dyeing process according to the present invention provides a very solid and invertible deep black on natural textiles (wool, cotton, silk, fine, jute, ramie, etc.) and artificial or synthetic textiles (rayon, fibranne). , nylon, Rilsan, Ter gal, etc.).
This black is solid to light, to washing, to rubbing, to storage. Etching is usually done at 35-50 ° C and pH 2 for about two hours. For dyeing, sodium diphenylamino-para-sulfamate can be used alone or with the addition of other carbocyclic or heterocyclic amines or aminophenols. An oxidizing agent and a catalyst catalyst are preferably added to the dye bath.
Dyeing is usually done at 35 to 65 ° C and pH 3.5 to 4 for about two to six hours depending on the materials to be dyed. Then comes a development â. air at room temperature.
The invention is explained below with the aid of examples Example 1 3 g of anhydrous sodium carbonate 3 g of trisodium phosphate 1 g of wetting agent are dissolved in one liter of water. choice, known per se.
A piece of cotton is treated for one hour in this bath, heated to 60o C, then rinsed.
The oxidizing mordanting bath is prepared by dissolving 30 g of sodium chloride in a liter of water 20 g of sodium persulfate 1 g of sodium chlorite 2 g of copper chloride 1 ml of 660 Bé sulfuric acid 0 , 1 g of ammonium vanadate pH 2; the part is kept in this bath overnight at 350 ° C. and it is wrung out.
The actual dye bath in which the part is subsequently treated is composed of (per liter) 30 g of aniline salt 10 g of sodium diphenylamino-para-sulfamate 10 g of sodium chlorate 10 g of ammonium sulfate .
It is treated overnight at 400 C. It is oxidized in air at 201 C.
The dyed part is washed in a bath containing per liter 6 g of flake soap 1 g of anhydrous sodium carbonate 2 ml of sulphonated alcohol for one hour at 50 C, rinsed, washed again in a bath containing 2 ml of sulfonated alcohol at 300 C for 30 minutes and rinsed again.
The part thus treated is of a beautiful black color, resistant to light, washing and rubbing.
A part tinted identically, but without the addition of chlorite to the etching bath, shows a reddish reflection. Example 2 A piece of wool is treated in the following baths (per liter of solution) 10) Alkaline preparation 5 g of anhydrous sodium carbonate 1 g of trisodium phosphate 0 , 6 g of powder detergent 2 ml of an equalizer.
Temperature 45-55 C, pH 10, 1 hour 15 minutes. 2 (l) Oxidizing etching 20 g of sodium chloride 20 g of ammonium persulfate 0.5 g of sodium chlorite 1 ml of sulfuric acid at 66o Bé 2 g of cupric chloride 0, 1 g of ammonium vanadate, the pH of the solution is established at 2, the reaction is carried out at 35.1 ° C. overnight, then the mixture is filtered off without rinsing.
30) Dye bath 10 g of aniline salt 10 g of sodium diphenylamino-para-sulfamate 1 g of para-phenylenediamine 1 g of meta-cresylenediamine 10 g of sodium chlorate 10 g of ammonium salt 0.001 g of ammonium vanadate 2 ml of equalizer.
Treated at 35-60 C, pH 4, 2 hours, and oxidized overnight at 180 C. 4) Washing bath 3 ml of sulfonated alcohol at 40 ° C, 1 hour, rinse. 50) Washing bath 3 ml of sulfonated alcohol 1 g of baking soda 400 C for 2 hours; rinse; the pH of this bath is established at 7.
It ends with a final rinse with 0.5 g of a detergent 0.25 g of hydrosulphite at 35 ° C. for 30 minutes. Rinse with clean water. The piece is dyed a beautiful deep black. By operating under identical conditions, but without adding chlorite to the mordanting bath, a black dye is obtained showing a reddish reflection.
