Tige pour la fixation d'un accessoire sur un appareil pour soins corporels
On connaît des appareils pour soins corporels présentant une tige de fixation pour un accessoire (brosse, tampon ou houpette), traversant un boîtier isolant formant poignée par une ouverture de dimension relativement faible; cette tige est en général constituée par un axe central enrobé d'une chemise plastique portant des organes pour l'accouplement de l'accessoire et engagé dans un logement pratiqué dans l'arbre moteur de l'appareil, la chemise étant fixée sur une portion de cet arbre en général inaccessible de l'extérieur du boîtier.
Le boîtier de ces appareils est scellé de manière à empêcher tout contact de l'usager avec une partie sous-tension du mécanisme d'entraînement de la tige de sorte que celle-ci ne peut, au besoin, être remplacée qu'en détruisant le boîtier, par exemple par sciage.
La présente invention a pour objet une tige pour la fixation d'un accessoire sur un appareil pour soins corporels, permettant d'obvier à cet inconvénient.
Cette tige est caractérisée par le fait qu'elle comprend d'une part, un axe rigide destiné à s'engager à force par une extrémité dans un logement correspondant de l'arbre moteur dudit dispositif, laquelle extrémité est striée longitudinalement dans le but d'empêcher tout mouvement rotatif relatif de cet axe dans ledit arbre, et, d'autre part, une chemise de matière plastique fixée sur. l'autre extrémité dudit axe présentant des organes pour l'accouplement de l'accessoire sur la tige et des moyens d'étanchéité destinés à empêcher, une fois la tige fixée à l'arbre, tout passage de liquide le long de cet arbre.

la fig. 3 montre une élévation partielle en coupe d'une brosse à dents électrique munie de la tige faisant l'objet des fig. 1 et 2.
Au dessin (fig. 1 et 2), la tige comprend un axe 1 dont l'extrémité inférieure est striée longitudinalement en 2 et dont la partie supérieure 3 est légèrement aplatie en forme de spatule ; cet axe 1 est revêtu d'une chemise 4 de matière plastique injectée présentant sur sa partie médiane des organes 5 et 6 pour l'accouplement d'un accessoire, notamment d'une brosse, et est en forme de capuchon 7 à sa partie inféreure. La surface externe de ce capuchon est creusée annulairement en 7a pour recevoir une bague métallique de rigidité 8.
La tige représentée est destinée à être fixée à l'extrémité de l'arbre d'entraînement 9 d'une brosse à dents électrique (fig. 3) dont 10 est le boîtier formant poignée contenant un moteur d'entraînement, non représenté, imprimant un mouvement oscillant à cet arbre, dont 11 et 12 sont des ressorts de rappel de l'arbre 9 en sa position médiane, 13 est un capuchon de matière plastique coiffant l'extrémité de l'arbre 9 et fixé sur celui-ci par une goupille 14, et 15 représente une capote élastique, de forme tronconique, empêchant le passage de tout liquide conducteur, eau ou pâte dentifrice par exemple, en direction du moteur tout en contribuant par son élasticité à ramener le rotor du moteur dans sa position médiane de repos. 16 et 17 représentent des boutons poussoirs destinés à la commande du démarrage et de l'arrêt de la brosse par action sur un interrupteur non représenté.
Cette tige se fixe sur la brosse à dents électrique par introduction de son axe au travers de l'ouverture centrale 1 3a du capuchon 13 et engagement à force de la portion striée 2 de l'axe 1 dans le logement 9a dont est munie l'extrémité de l'arbre 9. Les stries de l'axe 1 sont destinées à empêcher tout mouvement rotatif relatif par rapport à l'axe 9.
Simultanément à l'engagement de l'axe 1 dans l'arbre 9, on coiffe la partie supérieure du chapeau 13 par le chapeau 7 en engageant à frottement la seconde de ces deux pièces sur la première de manière à réaliser une bonne étanchéité entre ces deux pièces ; I'effort de serrage développé par les parois latérales du chapeau 7 sur la portion supérieure du chapeau 13 est encore augmenté par action de l'anneau 8.
Lorsque la tige de la brosse à dents devient inutilisable, par exemple à la suite d'une usure trop prononcée des organes d'accouplement 5 et 6 ou d'un pliage de cette tige consécutif à une chute de la brosse, il suffit d'arracher cette tige par simple action axiale et de la remplacer par une tige semblable engagée à force, par exemple à l'aide d'une presse pouvant développer environ 50 kg.
Par sa simplicité, la réparation peut être réalisée avec un outillage très réduit que peuvent posséder, par exemple, même les revendeurs des appareils dont on veut remplacer la tige d'accouplement. On peut ainsi éviter de devoir renvoyer nécessairement à l'usine ces appareils toutes les fois qu'une telle réparation s'impose, de sorte qu'il est possible de réaliser cette réparation dans un minimum de temps et avec des frais relativement peu élevés.

There are known devices for body care having a fastening rod for an accessory (brush, pad or puff), passing through an insulating housing forming a handle through an opening of relatively small size; this rod is generally constituted by a central axis coated with a plastic sleeve carrying members for coupling the accessory and engaged in a housing made in the motor shaft of the device, the sleeve being fixed to a portion of this shaft generally inaccessible from outside the housing.
The housing of these devices is sealed to prevent any contact by the user with a live part of the rod drive mechanism so that the rod can only be replaced if necessary by destroying the rod. housing, for example by sawing.
The present invention relates to a rod for fixing an accessory on a body care device, making it possible to overcome this drawback.
This rod is characterized by the fact that it comprises on the one hand, a rigid pin intended to engage forcefully by one end in a corresponding housing of the drive shaft of said device, which end is grooved longitudinally for the purpose of 'prevent any relative rotary movement of this axis in said shaft, and, on the other hand, a plastic jacket fixed on. the other end of said pin having members for coupling the accessory to the rod and sealing means intended to prevent, once the rod is attached to the shaft, any passage of liquid along this shaft.

In the drawing (fig. 1 and 2), the rod comprises a pin 1, the lower end of which is grooved longitudinally at 2 and the upper part 3 of which is slightly flattened in the shape of a spatula; this axis 1 is covered with a jacket 4 of injected plastic material having on its middle part members 5 and 6 for coupling an accessory, in particular a brush, and is in the form of a cap 7 at its lower part . The outer surface of this cap is annularly hollowed out at 7a to receive a metal ring of rigidity 8.
The rod shown is intended to be fixed to the end of the drive shaft 9 of an electric toothbrush (fig. 3) of which 10 is the housing forming a handle containing a drive motor, not shown, printing. an oscillating movement to this shaft, of which 11 and 12 are return springs of the shaft 9 in its middle position, 13 is a plastic cap covering the end of the shaft 9 and fixed thereon by a pin 14, and 15 represents an elastic top, of frustoconical shape, preventing the passage of any conductive liquid, water or toothpaste for example, in the direction of the engine while contributing by its elasticity to bring the rotor of the engine to its central position of rest. 16 and 17 show push buttons intended for controlling the starting and stopping of the brush by acting on a switch not shown.
This rod is fixed to the electric toothbrush by introducing its axis through the central opening 1 3a of the cap 13 and forcibly engaging the ridged portion 2 of the axis 1 in the housing 9a with which the end of shaft 9. The grooves of axis 1 are intended to prevent any relative rotary movement with respect to axis 9.
Simultaneously with the engagement of the axis 1 in the shaft 9, the upper part of the cap 13 is capped by the cap 7 by frictionally engaging the second of these two parts on the first so as to achieve a good seal between these two pieces ; The clamping force developed by the side walls of the cap 7 on the upper portion of the cap 13 is further increased by the action of the ring 8.
When the rod of the toothbrush becomes unusable, for example as a result of excessive wear of the coupling members 5 and 6 or of a bending of this rod following a fall of the brush, it suffices to tear off this rod by simple axial action and replace it with a similar rod engaged by force, for example using a press capable of developing approximately 50 kg.
By its simplicity, the repair can be carried out with a very reduced tool that can have, for example, even the resellers of the devices whose coupling rod is to be replaced. It is thus possible to avoid having to necessarily return these devices to the factory whenever such repair is necessary, so that it is possible to carry out this repair in a minimum of time and at relatively low cost.
