Additional patent to the main patent NO 350513 Detachable pipe coupling, in particular for gas connections The present invention relates to a further embodiment of that according to the claim of the main patent, which reads as follows: Detachable pipe coupling, in particular for gas connections, with the shut-off device on the supply-side coupling member, characterized in that the shut-off device is designed as a valve, the closing member of which is force-locked against the valve seat and is secured against opening in the closed position by a locking device,
and that the discharge-side coupling member is provided with means for automatically releasing the Ventilverriege development when coupling and restoring the same when uncoupling.
The pipe coupling according to the present invention is characterized in that the discharge-side coupling member has a projecting, central pipe section that can be pushed into a guide bushing located in the supply-side coupling member and that of the guide bushing or a member that is inevitably involved in the movement of the valve closing member and protruding into the guide bushing is the one part is provided with at least one latch, which is under the influence of a spring pressing it behind a shoulder of the other part in the rest position and protrudes into the movement path of the central pipe section,
that this inevitably brings the bolt out of engagement with the shoulder when it is pushed into the guide bushing and lifts the valve closing element off the valve seat when it is pushed further. As a result, the coupling member on the supply side can be accommodated in a relatively small space, similar to an electrical socket, namely also under plaster.
Likewise, the discharge-side coupling member is as simple as an electrical connector, and coupling and uncoupling can be carried out by simply shifting the discharge-side coupling member axially, even in any desired rotational position, so that handling without any considerations or manual skills can be done.
The drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. 13 and 14 each show a central longitudinal section with the coupling member on the supply side located directly in front of the coupling end position or in the coupling end position.
FIG. 15 shows a cross section along the line A-A in FIG. 14.
The supply-side coupling member 1 of the Darge presented gas connection is accommodated in one leg 51 of a tubular housing, the other leg 52 of which is designed as a connection piece for the gas supply line. Both legs are mainly concealed, which is illustrated by the outer surface 53. At the free end part, the leg 51 has an Aussenge thread 54, onto which a rosette 55 is screwed. The leg 51 also has an internal thread 56 into which a guide bush 2 provided with a corresponding external thread is screwed.
This is designed on the gas supply side as a valve body which carries the valve seat 3 at the inner end. On this is the closing member designed as Ven tilteller 5 under the A flow of a helical compression spring 4 frictionally, which leg 52 is supported on the other end on the inside of the angle. The opposite end part of the guide bushing 2 is designed as a connecting piece 6 which has an annular groove on the inside with an inserted sealing ring 57 made of elastically flexible material, in particular rubber.
The sealing ring protrudes over the wall of the socket 2 on the inside.
The discharge-side coupling member 58 is connected to a gas discharge hose 59 and, on the other hand, has a projecting central pipe piece 60, the free end part 61 of which is designed as an inner cone. A central sleeve-shaped projection 62 is attached to the valve disk 5 on the gas discharge side, which is provided with at least one opening (not shown) and carries a ring 63 at the other end.
The ring 63 is coaxial with the guide bush 2 and is provided on the discharge side with a Innenge threaded attachment 64, in which an extension sleeve 65, which is also coaxial with the guide bush 2, is screwed.
The ring 63 is provided with four radial perforations which are arranged at the same peripheral intervals and are non-circular in cross-section, in each of which a bolt 66 is guided in a longitudinally displaceable manner. According to FIG. 15, the ring 63 encloses a spring 67 which consists of a closed leaf spring band which, viewed in the direction of the ring axis, forms the inner square of the ring 63. The arrangement in the ring is made such that the four Federsei th 68 work together centrally with the inner end of each Rie gel 66. The spring 67 has the tendency to push the latch 66 outwards with the same force.
The outer end of the bolt 66 is beveled inwards in the gas discharge direction in such a way that the inclined surface 69 of the bolt is arranged parallel to the inner conical surface 61 of the pipe section 60 when the pipe section 60 is in a position coaxial with the guide bush 2.
In the extended locking position shown in FIG. 13, the outer end parts of the bolts 66 rest against an annular shoulder 70 which is formed by the corresponding flank of an annular groove 71 arranged in the guide bush 2 on the inside. In the locked position, the inclined surfaces 69 of the bolt lie in the movement path of the inner cone 61 of the tube 60 when this has the aforementioned position shown in Fig. 13, in which its outside with a sliding fit on the inside of the guide bush 2 is axially displaceable and rotatable is led.
Both annular grooves are designed and arranged in such a way that they alternately work together with the sealing ring 57 of the socket 2 like a snap-lock and secure the discharge-side coupling member 58 against axial displacement in the snap-in position.
The pipe section 60 has on the outside two spaced apart annular grooves 72 and 73, respectively.
When the moving parts are in the rest position shown in FIG. 13, the valve is closed. The central pipe section 60 is out of engagement with the bolts 66, its annular groove 72 being in locking engagement with the sealing ring 57. In this position, the coupling member 58 has sufficient hold that it cannot accidentally fall out of the other coupling member 1, but can be pulled out by overcoming the snap lock 57, 72 by applying sufficient tensile force.
If the gas connection is now to be established, the coupling member 58 is pushed completely into the coupling member 1 until the base 74 of a groove 75 provided in it, as shown in FIG. 14, comes to rest on the free end of the guide bush 2. The pipe section 60 takes part in this pushing-in movement, its inner cone 61 running onto the inclined surface 69 of the bolt. As a result, the latches 69 are pushed in completely and disengage from the shoulder 70 of the socket 2.
The pipe section 60 slides past the outer delimiting edge of the inclined surface 69 and thereby holds the bolt 66 with its inside in the unlocked position. When moving further, this edge meets the outwardly projecting flange-shaped edge part 76 of the ring 63, through which the ring 63 is guided axially displaceably in the socket 2. As a result, the ring 63 is taken along by the pipe section 60 and inevitably the valve disk 5 is lifted from the seat 3 until it is in the fully open position shown in FIG. Here, the sealing ring 57 engages in the annular groove 73, whereby the coupling member 58 is held in the open position.
The gas can gelan through the leg 52 and the opening provided in the sleeve 62, as well as the ring 63 and the sleeve 65 into the coupling member 58 and from here via the connection hose 59 to the point of consumption.
If the gas supply is to be temporarily interrupted, the coupling member 58 is pulled out of the coupling member 1 until the annular groove 73 disengages, while the groove 72 engages with the sealing ring 57, whereby the ready-to-use position shown in FIG. 13 is restored is. If the gas connection is to be connected to another supply-side coupling member, the coupling member 58 is pulled out completely.
When the coupling member 58 is pulled out of the valve opening position shown in FIG. 14, the closing plate 5 follows the pipe section 60 under the influence of the spring 4 until it comes to rest on the seat 3. As soon as the cone 61 of the pipe section 60 releases the bolt 66 when moving the coupling member 58 further, these fall behind the shoulder 70 under the influence of the spring 67 and thereby secure the valve disk 5 against moving out of the closed position again. So if the coupling member 58 is completely pulled out of the coupling member l ', then the valve is not to be opened from the outside by any manipulation.
In and of itself, the provision of a single bolt 66, which could be under the influence of any closing spring arranged on the ring 63, would suffice. By providing several bolts, however, a multi-sided securing of the valve disk, z. B. is also achieved against slight tilting positions and also significantly increases the security of the valve closure against external influences, since it is not possible to push more than one bolt out of the locked position at the same time by using tools such as screwdrivers or the like.
There is nothing in the way of arranging the bolt 66 instead of in the ring 63 in the socket 2, and then one, for. B. the bolt, at the outer end of which includes the spring sending the same would press inward. The bolts would then be behind a, z. B. on the ring 63 arranged shoulder. The inwardly directed end portions of the bolt 53 could instead be tapered z. B. stepped abge sets, the rearward paragraph engages the shoulder on the ring 63 and the forward and outwardly recessed paragraph in the locking position of the valve in the z.
B. outwardly tapered central pipe section 60 engages and when the pipe is pushed in, the latches are moved outwards and thereby release the lock.
Likewise, the helical compression spring 4 z. B. be arranged between the valve closing member 5 and the ring 63, being supported on the one hand on the ring 63 and on the other hand on a shoulder (not shown) on the guide bush 2 in the plane of the valve seat 3. Furthermore, the sealing ring 8 can be arranged in the interior of the socket 2. The angular ring attachment on the discharge side coupling member is then omitted. The sealing ring 8 is then expediently arranged behind the ring 57. In this arrangement, the United screw between the leg 51 of the hous ses 1 and the socket 2 can be replaced by z.
B. the rosette on the front of the socket 2 is firmly arranged and instead of the Aussenge thread 54 on the leg 51 provides two tabs into which two countersunk screws passed through the rosette are screwed. The changing depth of the housing in the masonry is taken into account in that the socket 2 is adjusted in relation to the housing 1 by means of the countersunk screws in the area of the seal between the housing 1 and the socket 2. It is clear that this adjustability can also be produced by means of the screw connection between housing 1 and socket 2.
