B. in U-Form, her gestellt wird.
Windshield wiper The invention is concerned with a windshield wiper, in particular for motor vehicles, in which the hook-shaped curved wiper arm comprises an axis attached to the wiper blade carrier, which is bent in a U-shape in cross section, around 1800, with an opening in the back of the wiper blade carrier for inserting the hook-shaped The wiper arm is seen,
and in which a locking element to be actuated by hand secures the arm in the wiper blade carrier in its latching position in the working position.
An articulated connection between the wiper arm and the wiper blade carrier has already become known, in which the wiper arm end bent by 1801) comprises an axle fastened in a U-shaped structure on the wiper blade carrier. As a coupling part between the two parts, a two-legged spring bracket is used, the legs of which are resiliently pressed together by the hook-shaped bent wiper arm end together, creating a locking connection between the two parts.
This implementation of the connection between the wiper arm and the wiper blade carrier can only be used if a structure is provided on the wiper blade carrier. However, in order to obtain a shapely and pleasing design, efforts have recently been made to arrange the coupling parts between the wiper arm and the wiper blade carrier within the wiper blade carrier, which is mostly bent into a U-shaped cross section.
Such an embodiment has already been proposed in which the hook-shaped bent end of the wiper arm comprises an axis mounted in the wiper blade carrier by more than 180, an elastic bushing being provided on this axis. In this embodiment, an opening must be provided in the back of the wiper blade carrier, into which the hook of the wiper arm end can be inserted to make the connection.
In order to at least partially close this opening and to secure the arm in the wiper blade carrier in the working position, the invention proposes, in a windshield wiper in which the hook-shaped curved wiper arm end, an axis fastened in the wiper blade carrier, which is U-shaped in cross section 180 and in which a manually operated locking member secures the arm in the wiper blade carrier in its latching position in the working position,
whereby the locking member lies against the outside of the hook arch of the wiper arm and, in the locking position, closes half of the insertion opening in the wiper blade carrier with a positive fit. The locking member can bud-shaped made of a rubber elastic material, for. B.
Rubber or plastic; manufactured and attached with its thin part on the wiper blade carrier, while the widened head of the locking member attack on the one hand on the outside of the hook arch and on the other hand can be supported with a shoulder on the edge of the wiper blade carrier back in the insertion opening. It has proven to be very advantageous if the stem-like part of the locking member in a suitable profile, for. B. in U-shape is made forth.
In another exemplary embodiment of the proposed invention, the locking member is; which is mainly made of plastic, mounted on a pivotable shaft mounted in the wiper blade carrier ge. One side of the locking member engages the outside of the hook arch, while a shoulder on the locking member is supported on the edge of the wiper blade carrier back in the insertion opening. For the secure storage of this locking element, a spring can be provided which presses the locking element into the locking position.
This spring is preferably designed as a helical spring which is placed around the pivot axis of the locking member.
This proposed connection results in a secured position in the working position, the insertion opening required for inserting the wiper arm being closed in a form-fitting manner by the locking member.
The invention is explained using two examples of execution. 1 shows a wiper arm and a wiper blade, FIG. 2 shows part of the wiper arm and part of the wiper blade carrier, FIG. 3 shows a section through the central part of the wiper blade carrier in the working position of the wiper arm, as a first example, FIG. 4 shows a Section through the middle part of the wiper blade carrier with the locking member disengaged,
5 shows a section through the middle part of the wiper blade carrier when the wiper arm is uncoupled, FIG. 6 shows a section through the middle part of the wiper blade carrier with the locking member pivotable on an axis in the working position, as a second example, FIG. 7 shows a section through the middle part of the wiper blade carrier when Insertion of the wiper arm end.
The wiper arm head 2 is placed on the wiper shaft 1. The wiper arm head 2 merges into the wiper rod 3 which, with its hook-shaped bent end 4, encompasses the axis 5 in the wiper blade carrier 6 by approximately 180. The intermediate brackets 7 and 8 are hinged to the two ends of the wiper blade carrier 6,
which with their claw-shaped bent ends, the spring mounted in the wiper rubber 9 rails 10 and 11 partially include. To hold the two spring rails 10 and 11 together, the two end pieces 12 and 13 are provided at the ends of the wiper blade.
According to FIGS. 3, 4 and 5, the axis 5 is fastened in the wiper blade carrier 6, which is bent in a U-shaped cross section. Around this axis is a book se 14 made of elastic material. This socket is encompassed by the hook-shaped end 4 of the wiper arm 3 by about 180. The bud-shaped locking member 15 is firmly connected to the wiper blade carrier 6 with its handle-like end 16 by the rivets 17 and 18.
The widened head 19 of the locking member 15 engages with its end face on the outside of the bow 4 of the hook. The approach 20 of the locking member 15 is supported on the edge of the wiper blade carrier back, the locking member 15 with its correspondingly shaped, widened part 19 closes the insertion opening 21 in a form-fitting manner. By pressing on the part 19 of the locking member 15 with simultaneous pivoting of the wiper arm into the position shown in FIG. 4, the locking member is moved out of its latching position.
It can. now, according to FIG. 5, the hook-shaped end of the wiper arm 4 can be pulled out of the wiper blade carrier.
According to FIGS. 6 and 7, the locking member 22 is mounted such that it can pivot about an axis 23 fastened in the wiper blade carrier 6 '. About this axis 23, the coil spring 24 is still placed, which is supported with one end on the back of the wiper blade carrier, while the other end of the spring pushes the locking member 22 into the locking position. The end face of the latching member 22 engages the outside of the arch hook 4, while the approach 20 'is supported on the edge of the back part of the wiper blade carrier in the insertion opening.
By pressing the locking member 22 with a finger while swiveling the wiper arm 3 into the position according to FIG. 4, the locking member 22 is moved out of its locking position and the wiper arm 3 can, as shown in FIG. 7, out of the opening 21 'in the wiper blade carrier 6 'be taken out.
