Pièce d'horlogerie à sonnerie La présente invention a pour objet une pièce d'horlogerie à sonnerie, notamment un compteur de temps, comportant une cloche fixée en son centre et destinée à être frappée par un marteau, pièce d'horlogerie dont le mouvement comporte un bâti à colonnes.
On a déjà utilisé le boîtier d'une pièce d'horlogerie à sonnerie comme organe de résonance. Dans ce cas toutefois, les vibrations étaient produites à l'aide d'une membrane fixée par sa périphérie au bâti du mouvement ou au boîtier. La présente disposition permet d'amplifier, à l'aide du boîtier, des sons produits non pas par une membrane, mais par une cloche.
La pièce d'horlogerie suivant l'invention est caractérisée par le fait que ces colonnes se prolongent par des tétons traversant des ouvertures ménagées dans ladite cloche, à sa périphérie, et qui prennent appui contre le boîtier de la pièce, le bord desdites ouvertures étant en contact avec lesdits tétons de manière que les vibrations de la cloche, dont la périphérie est libre de se déplacer axialement, soient transmises au bâti du mouvement et au boîtier qui participent ainsi à la production du son, formant boîte de résonance.
Le dessin représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention.
La fig. 1 est une coupe axiale d'une partie d'un compteur de temps à sonnerie, et la fig. 2 est une vue en plan, de dessous, d'un détail à plus petite échelle. Le compteur représenté comprend un bâti formé de deux platines 1 et 2 maintenues assemblées, à distance l'une de l'autre, par des colonnes 3. Ce compteur est du type, connu en soi, à bouton central 4 assurant à la fois le remontage et le réglage de la durée de marche. Le mécanisme régulateur n'a pas été représenté et seul le train d'engrenages 5, aboutissant au marteau de sonnerie 6, l'a été schématiquement. Ce marteau de sonnerie frappe une cloche 7 fixée en son centre, en 8, à la platine 2.
Le mouvement est logé dans un boîtier comprenant deux calottes 9 et 10 entre lesquelles il est pincé. La platine 1 prend appui directement sur la calotte 9, alors que ce sont des tétons 3a prolongeant les colonnes 3 qui prennent appui sur la calotte 10, dans des logements borgnes 11 ménagés dans des bossages intérieurs 10a de cette calotte. Ces tétons 3a traversent des ouvertures 12 ménagées dans la cloche 7. Un décalage angulaire est prévu entre la cloche et le mouvement, tel que les tétons 3a prennent appui latéralement contre le bord des ouvertures 12.
Ainsi, les vibrations de la cloche se transmettent, par l'intermédiaire des tétons 3a, au bâti du mouvement d'une part et au boîtier d7au- tre part qui participent à la production du son, formant notamment boîte de résonance. Grâce au fait que la pression exercée par la cloche sur les tétons est latérale, la cloche, notamment la partie périphérique de celle-ci, peut se déplacer axialement, lors de ses mouvements vibratoires, de sorte que ce contact avec les tétons, loin de diminuer la sonorité de la pièce, l'augmente au contraire de façon notable.

Striking timepiece The present invention relates to a striking timepiece, in particular a time counter, comprising a bell fixed at its center and intended to be struck by a hammer, a timepiece the movement of which comprises a column frame.
The case of a striking timepiece has already been used as a resonance member. In this case, however, the vibrations were produced by means of a membrane fixed by its periphery to the frame of the movement or to the case. The present arrangement makes it possible to amplify, using the housing, sounds produced not by a membrane, but by a bell.
The timepiece according to the invention is characterized in that these columns are extended by studs passing through openings made in said bell, at its periphery, and which bear against the case of the piece, the edge of said openings being in contact with said studs so that the vibrations of the bell, the periphery of which is free to move axially, are transmitted to the frame of the movement and to the case which thus participate in the production of sound, forming a resonance box.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an axial section of part of a striking time counter, and FIG. 2 is a plan view, from below, of a detail on a smaller scale. The counter shown comprises a frame formed of two plates 1 and 2 held together, at a distance from each other, by columns 3. This counter is of the type, known per se, with a central button 4 ensuring both the winding and adjusting the running time. The regulating mechanism has not been shown and only the gear train 5, leading to the striking hammer 6, has been shown schematically. This striking hammer strikes a bell 7 fixed in its center, at 8, to plate 2.
The movement is housed in a case comprising two caps 9 and 10 between which it is clamped. The plate 1 is supported directly on the cap 9, whereas these are studs 3a extending the columns 3 which are supported on the cap 10, in blind housings 11 formed in interior bosses 10a of this cap. These studs 3a pass through openings 12 formed in the bell 7. An angular offset is provided between the bell and the movement, such that the pins 3a bear laterally against the edge of the openings 12.
Thus, the vibrations of the bell are transmitted, by means of the studs 3a, to the frame of the movement on the one hand and to the housing on the other hand which participate in the production of the sound, in particular forming a resonance box. Thanks to the fact that the pressure exerted by the bell on the nipples is lateral, the bell, in particular the peripheral part of the latter, can move axially, during its vibratory movements, so that this contact with the nipples, far from reducing the tone of the room, on the contrary, significantly increases it.
