Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>
    Appareil pour le montage d'un ressort spiral sur une virole de balancier Lorsque l'on fixe l'extrémité intérieure d'un spiral à la virole d'un balancier, il est important que le spiral se trouve en position détendue, afin que son centre géométrique coïncide bien avec celui du balancier. A cet effet on s'est efforcé de maintenir le spiral, dans sa forme naturelle, au moment de sa fixation ; mais on l'a fait en utilisant des appuis contre lesquels il vient reposer et qui sont quand même de nature à modifier cette forme.

    Apparatus for mounting a spiral spring on a balance ring When fixing the inner end of a balance spring to the ring of a balance, it is important that the balance spring is in a relaxed position, so that its geometric center coincides well with that of the balance. To this end, we have tried to maintain the balance spring in its natural form when it is fixed; but we did it by using supports against which it comes to rest and which are nevertheless likely to modify this form.

  The object of the apparatus according to the present invention is to remedy this drawback. It is characterized by two supports movable relative to each other and being able to be centered on the same axis, one of these supports being intended to receive the balance spring and the other, the ferrule, and by an optical system intended to reproduce on a screen, by enlarging them, the hairspring and the ferrule, in order to be able to adjust their relative position so that the hairspring is centered on the ferrule.

  The single figure of the drawing represents, by way of example, and schematically, an embodiment of the object of the present invention.

  In the figure, the fixed frame 1, having an opening 2, serves as a support for the hairspring to be fixed 3. On this frame are mounted two slides perpendicular to each other and one of which 4 is visible in the drawing and which carry a gallows 5; the latter has an opening 5a which can be centered on the opening 2 and which is closed by a transparent plate 6; on this plate, inside the hairspring, is arranged a ferrule 7 on which has been driven, at a distance from the hairspring, the ring 8; on this rests a transparent plate 9 mounted in a sliding sleeve 10.

   The index 11 designates a part of an optical system which constitutes a projector comprising a light source 12 illuminating the hairspring 3 and the ferrule 7, the image of these two parts enlarged by an objective 13 constituting the other part of the projector, being reflected towards the screen 14 by means of two mirrors 15. On this screen are drawn, at the magnification of the projector, the hairspring and the ferrule in the position which they must have during an exact centering.

  During use, the hairspring 3 is placed freely on the frame 1 and the ferrule 7, also freely, on the plate 6, therefore inside the hairspring. On this ferrule is slightly driven the ring 8 which remains at a distance from the balance spring; the screen 14 is first moved horizontally to center the image of the hairspring on its design, then the stem 5 is moved until the image of the ferrule coincides with its design on the screen. The sleeve 10 is then lowered, which permanently drives the ring off the ferrule in order to fix the hairspring.

  The mirrors 15 are also movable in the vertical direction to allow modification of the magnification; it is thus possible to use a single screen 14 for spirals of different pitches.
