527,090. Viewing-apparatus for pictures. KALBER, A. March 31, 1939, No. 10092. Convention date, Oct. 20, 1938. [Classes 97 (i) and 98 (ii)] A device for viewing pictures, particularly transparencies, comprises a change-frame for supporting the picture and an observation lens carried by the change-frame, the whole being detachably mountable as a unit on a pocket lamp. As shown, the device comprises a frame W, open at its upper end e, and having an exposure window A, and a flange B supporting a collapsible mount K, K<SP>1</SP>, K<SP>2</SP>, K<SP>3</SP> for an observation lens O, which when collapsed is covered by the lid D. The frame W is fitted to the lamp T by a flange G screwing on to the reflector of the lamp, the aperture A then being in accurate alignment with the lens O and the lamp filament L. Framelets r, holding the pictures, may be inserted into the frame W through the opening e and removed through the opening h. The wire loop S on the lamp T may be opened out and the device arranged on a flat support so that the observer may have both hands free.
