Description

Knife with coarse grinds The invention relates to a knife with coarse grinds which are adjacent to one another on one broad side of the knife blade and which form arcuate recesses of the cutting edge, with adjacent arcs forming points.

Such knives are known and are preferred for cutting soft material because the knife blade penetrates the material to be cut more easily than a knife blade with a straight cutting edge due to the toothing of its cutting edge.

The invention has the task of further improving the cutting edge of such knives, and this is done according to the invention in that in the coarse grinds of the knife blade adjacent, turkey-like fine grinds tapering into teeth are produced.

A knife with a coarse arched tooth system is already known, which additionally has fine toothing on the arched arch. In the previously known knife, however, it is sm in contrast to the inventive knife to he habene round arches, and the places where the round arches collide represent recesses in the blade. With such a knife, however, grinds, especially with a professional knife, its If the cutting edge is reground by hand at short intervals, the fine toothing is cut ahead of time.

In contrast to this, with the knife according to the invention, the fine toothing is retained even when the knife blade is mechanically re-sharpened.

In the drawing, the invention is illustrated, for example, on a knife. 1 shows the knife in a plan view of a broad side, FIG. 2 shows the knife blade, which is partially drawn, on an enlarged scale, FIG. 3 shows the knife blade compared to FIG. 2 in a rear view and FIG. 4 shows the knife blade on an enlarged scale in section along the line aa in FIG. 1.

The knife consists of the handle 1 and the knife blade 2. On one broad side, the knife has relatively coarse incisions 3 lying next to one another, which form arcuate recesses in the cutting edge, whereby adjacent arc tips 4 form. In the cuts 3 adjacent, turkey-like fine cuts 5 tapering into teeth are produced.
