Feeding device on automatic lathes The invention relates to a device on automatic turning machines for feeding a bar of material.
There are already supply devices on turning machines known in which a supply rod is axially guided in a guide tube, which presses on the material rod when the collet is open and pushes it up to a stop. The bars are fed using weights that are adapted to the weight of the bar. It has been found to be particularly disadvantageous in such replenishment devices that the replenishment speed changes with the length of the material bar, i. H. the shorter the material bar becomes as a result of the machining, the faster it is pushed in because of its decreasing weight.
Here creates a device on automatic lathes for pushing a material rod, with a feed rod which is axially guided in a guide tube and which presses on the material rod when the collet is open and pushes it up to a stop, according to the inven tion by the fact that one of the Drehma machine driven with the collet open to drive device is provided, which acts on the push rod, and pushes it periodically by a certain piece before.
The drive device always exerts the same pressure on the push rod, which is not influenced by the length and weight of the rod.
In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the device according to the invention are shown. 1 shows a side view of a lathe with a first embodiment arranged behind it of a partially broken supply device, FIG. 2 shows a section along line 2-2 in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a side view of a second embodiment of a supply device .
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, 10 denotes a lathe which has a machine frame 11 on which a turret slide 12 with turret 13, a headstock 15 with collet 16 and a swing stop 17 are arranged on. The machine frame 11 also has a feed slide 20 which can be moved back and forth by a control shaft 22 with the aid of a fork lever 23.
On the feed slide 20, a rack 24 is attached, which cooperates with a drive device 25, which is shown in Figure 2 in section and will be explained in more detail.
The drive device is connected to a supply device designated as a whole as 30, which has a slotted guide tube 33 which is pivotably arranged with its rear end by means of a bearing 39 in the horizontal plane on a stand 31 and rests with its front end on a stand 32 . In the guide tube 33, a supply piece 35 is guided to which the supply rod 36 is attached, which at its front,
in the direction of the end facing the lathe carries a resilient contact piece 37 with which it presses the material rod 38. The replenishment piece 35 is also firmly connected to a chain 40, which is guided over chain wheels 41 and 42.
The chain wheel 42 forms part of the drive device shown in section in FIG. A carrier housing 45, in which the chain wheel 42 is rotatably but axially immovable, is fastened to the guide tube 33.
The Kettenzad 42 is axially penetrated by a sleeve 48 which is arranged axially displaceably on a shaft 49 and level forms part of a ratchet coupling. The sprocket 42 is for its part non-rotatably arranged on the sleeve 48.
The left end face of the sleeve 48 in the drawing has at 50 coupling elements which interact with corresponding elements of a coupling sleeve 52. This coupling sleeve 52, which is wedged with the shaft 49, is pressed by a spring 51 against the sleeve 48 so that both sleeves are held in engagement, and is rotationally fixed by means of a loose wedge 53, but also axially displaceable in the central hole of one axially non-displaceable gear 55 which meshes with the rack 24 attached to the feed slide 20.
A hand crank 58 is also screwed tightly to the chain wheel 42, the fastening plate 60 of which is penetrated by a pin 62 provided with a knurled head 61. The pin 62 carries on its inner end face a threaded plate 64 which cooperates with a sleeve 65 connected to the sleeve 48 and holds this and the sleeve 48 in their position. By turning the knurled head 61, the sleeve 48 is moved to the right.
The coupling sleeve 52, which steals under the action of the spring 51, rests with a collar 56 against an annular surface 57 at the center hole of the gear 55, so that the two coupling halves are disengaged. By turning the knurled head 61 in the opposite direction, the sleeve 48 is moved to the left again and brought into engagement with the coupling sleeve 52.
The mode of operation of the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is as follows: The meshing with the gear 55 rack 24 sets with each forward stroke of the Nachschubschlit least 20 about the ratchet clutch 48, 52 driving in this direction, the sprocket 42 in order to rotate. As a result, the feed rod 36 and thus the material rod 38 is advanced in the guide tube 33 until the material rod on the swing stop 17 strikes. If the material bar is used up, the coupling 48, 52 is disengaged by turning the knurled head 61, as already described, and the feed bar 36 is moved into its rearmost position by turning the hand crank 58.
Then the guide tube 33 is pivoted about the joint 39 so far that a new material rod can be pushed into the guide tube from the front, and then pivoted back into the starting position.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the drive device corresponding to FIG. 2 is arranged on the lathe 10. The front chain wheel, indicated by dashed lines, is labeled 70. The guide tube 72 rests with its front end on a support arm 73 attached to the lathe 10 and is pivotably mounted with its rear end on a stand 75 with the aid of a joint 76 in the horizontal plane.
The rear sprocket 77 is arranged at a distance from the rear end of the guide tube 72, namely so far that the feed rod 79 can be moved completely backwards out of the guide tube. The guide tube is then pivoted about the joint 76 so that the new tool rod can be inserted into the tube from behind.
