Cleaning device on thread-bearing rotating cylinders of textile machines The subject of the present invention is a cleaning device on thread-bearing rotating cylinders of textile machines and in particular of drafting devices.
It is known to clean the rotating cylinders of textile machines, for example the lower and upper cylinders of a drafting system, by means of rod-shaped or flap-shaped scrapers that touch the surface of the cylinder. In most cases, these known wipers work together with a pneumatic suction device, which removes the falling fibers and the dirt removed from the cylinder by the wiper.
The known wipers - both the rod-shaped and the lobe-shaped - touch the cylinder on a surface which is delimited by surface lines of the cylinder. In all known Ab scrapers it has been shown that it is not possible to control the cleaning process in such a way that both fibers and dirt on the same side of the scraper, i.e. H. either on the inlet side or on the outlet side with respect to the direction of rotation of the cylinder.
In particular for the pneumatic removal of the fibers and dirt, it is desirable to remove fibers and dirt on the same side, both because the fibers cannot be removed equally easily on both sides of the scraper and for economic reasons with air consumption.
It has been shown that with flap-shaped scrapers, which are approximately tangential to the cylinder, dirt is deposited on the scraper on both sides of the common contact surface, which hinders the detachment of the fibers from the scraper, insofar as they are stripped from the cylinder by this at all. The rod-shaped scrapers, which are usually arranged approximately radially to the cylinder and touch the same with their end face, have the disadvantage that on the one hand they peel off fibers on the inlet side of the cylinder,
while other fibers collect on the outlet side. In addition, however, these scrapers usually cannot capture all fibers, especially if the fibers are relatively thin and dry.
The present invention now aims to provide a cleaning device in which the aforementioned disadvantages are avoided. The cleaning device according to the invention, which has a rod-shaped scraper that touches the cylinder over its entire length, is characterized by the fact that the scraper touches the cylinder with one edge linearly, is formed by two surfaces, of which the one that is related to the The direction of rotation of the cylinder is on the inlet side of the edge,
forms an angle of 20-500 with the tangential plane of the contact line.
In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the cleaning device according to the invention are shown. 1 shows a sectional view of the cleaning device according to the first embodiment; FIG. 2 shows the cleaning device according to the second embodiment in section and FIG. 3 shows a view of the cleaning device according to FIG. 2.
In Fig. 1, 1 denotes an existing steel lower cylinder of a drafting system, which cooperates with an upper cylinder 2 made of rubber. Each of the two cooperating cylinders is assigned a scraper 3 and 4, respectively, namely the scraper 3 is made of rubber, while the scraper 4 is made of steel. The two scrapers 3 and 4 touch the cylinders with light pressure over their entire length, along a surface line each. For this purpose, a contact edge 3c or 4c is provided on each wiper, which is formed by two surfaces 3a and 3b or 4a and 4b thereof which run at an acute angle to one another.
In the game Ausführungsbei shown in Fig. 1, it is assumed that the cylinders 1 and 2 rotate in the direction of the arrows 5 and 6, respectively. The accordingly these directions of rotation on the inlet side of the wiper edges 3c and 4c lying surfaces 3a and 4a form an angle u with the tangent in the line of contact, which z. B. 300. On the other hand, the surfaces 3b and 4b lie in an axial plane of the associated cylinder through the scraper edge. They therefore form a right angle (3 = 90) with the corresponding tangential plane on the cylinder.
As can be seen from Fig. 1, the scrapers 3 and 4 are in the form of angular profiles. The wiper 3 made of rubber is reinforced by a metal rod 7, which is preferably connected to the wiper material by vulcanization.
The scrapers can be attached to a suitable part of the machine or the drafting system, e.g. B. be attached to the frame supporting the cylinder, etc. However, it is necessary that the attachment ensures compliance with a predetermined relative position of the scraper from the associated cylinder, in particular when the same is adjustable in its position with respect to other cylinders of the drafting system. The scraper can also, as can be seen from Fig. 1, be attached to a channel-shaped suction head which removes the stripped fibers by means of a suction air stream.
The suction head 8 has a guide plate 9, which extends into the area of the Abstrei fers or the cylinder and with these in the parts an air inlet gap 10 is limited, through which transport air in the direction of arrows 11 is sucked. The transport air also sweeps past the exit surface 3b of the scraper 3 and, if necessary, removes the fibers adhering to it.
If the cylinder is adjustable, the suction head 8 is preferably adjustable together with it, so that the suction head and also the stripper attached to it maintain their predetermined position relative to the cylinder.
It has been shown that, regardless of the specific material of the scraper and cylinder, there is a relationship between the angle a and the processed fiber material, in the sense that the angle a should be selected larger for fibers that are oily or with wax are contaminated, while dry fibers allow a smaller angle. An increase in the angle a also requires relatively thick fibers, while the treatment of thin fibers requires a smaller angle a.
A suitable range for the angle α has been found to be 250-4511, whereby different coefficients of friction are also taken into account according to the fiber material and scraper material. The metallic wiper 4, e.g. B. made of steel, is preferably hard chrome-plated. As rubber qualities for the cooperating with a steel cylinder stripper comes z. B. Acotex or Pirelli green (registered trademarks) in question.
The rubber should definitely have anti-static properties in order to prevent it from being charged as far as possible.
In the second embodiment shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a reinforcing rod 15 is partially embedded in the material of the stripper 16. The ends 15a of the metal rod protruding beyond the scraper material made of rubber are guided in slots 17 in a guide piece 18 (only one shown), one guide piece being attached to a bearing block 19 of the cylinder 20.
The slot 17 in each guide piece 18 ver runs approximately radially to the corresponding cylinder. As a result of the attachment of the guide pieces 18 to the bearing blocks 19, the position of the scraper or the angle which its inlet-side surface 16a encloses with the tangent to the cylinder remains the same, even if the cylinder is displaced. The wiper is in turn attached to the tallstab Me by vulcanization. The metal rod can be pressed against the cylinder 20 under light pressure by means of compression springs (not shown) provided in the guide piece 18.
