Appareil de chauffageà combustible liquide La présente invention a pour objet un appareil de chauffageà combustible liquide, tel qu'un poêle ou une cuisinière, par exemple, comprenant un brû leurà vaporisation, placéà la partie inférieure d'un fût, délimitant une chambre de combustion commu niquant avec un raccord d'évacuation des gaz de combustion, un réservoir principal de combustible placéà un niveau inférieur au brûleur, une cuve d'alimentation du brûleur, un dispositif de trop-plein, maintenant constant le niveau du combustible dans cette cuve;

On the sheet 3 rests the lower end of a drum 5a closed at its upper end by a cover 8. This drum 5a is divided in two compartments by a partition 6 welded by its periphery to the wall of the barrel. The lower compartment, which serves as a housing for a vaporization burner 9, communicates with the upper compartment, constituting the combustion chamber by a collar 7. This upper compartment is connected by a duct l2a to a box 5b increasing the heat transmission surface, hence the combustion gases are sent to the chimney through a 12b. connector.
In order (to increase the exchange surface of the barrel 5a and of the casing 5b, the outer periphery of these is provided with longitudinal fins 5c and 5d. The barrel 5a and the box 5b are housed in an envelope 14 closed at its upper part by a cover 15. A door 18 allows access to the lower compartment of the drum 5a.
The burner 9 is made up of a cup in which the fuel is vaporized and surmounted by a perforated lantern 10. The air follows the path indicated by the arrows a (fig. 3). A cam pinion 9a ensures the gas distribution.
A projection 92, from foundry with the shovel neck, is provided with a shoulder resting on the upper part of a sleeve 93 integral with a molded part < B> 87 placed between the burner 9 and the plate 3.
A rod 86 engaged in the lower end of a vertical bore 91 of the projection 92, passes through a back wall of the part < B> 87 and the sheet 3, with interposition of sealing washers 99, and serves as a pivot for the burner 9. </ B > To ensure its stability, in use position, its cup is provided with a boss projecting under its bottom and resting on a die 95 of the part 87 .
To allow cleaning of the burner, the latter can be brought by pivoting about the axis of the rod 86 to a position shown in phantom in fig. 2. In this position, the burner exits from the lower compartment of the barrel 5a through the orifice released by the opening of the door 18.
The part located above the end of the rod 86 of the bore 91 communicates with the interior of the cup by two channels 22 and 23 , and a longitudinal channel 96 of the stem 86 opens into the bore 91. This channel 96 < / B> communicates by a radial channel with a groove of a fitting washer 85 threaded onto the rod 86. This groove communicates with a tube 20 carrying the washer 85. A nut 89 screwed onto the threaded end 88 of the rod 86 holds the parts together.
Thus the rod 86 and the nut 89 fix together the part 87 and the plate 3. Fuel s 'casually flowing along the rod 86 would return to the reservoir 1 as indicated by the arrows f, first through the hole 97 made to the lower part of the sleeve 93, then by a tubing 98 projecting on the lower wall of the part 87, </ B> and finally through the hole 2a drilled in the sheet 2.
A tube 31 allows the filling of the tank 1, which is provided with a gauge 32. Between the drum 5a </ I > and a feed device 30, the tube 31 and the gauge 32, are arranged sheets forming a thermal protection screen.
The device 30 comprises a casing 34, the interior of which is divided by partitions 35 into two compartments 36 and 37 </ B> of different capacities, the partitions 35 starting from a tubular element 38. This tubular element 38 open to < / B> its lower part, extends below. from the bottom of the casing 34 and is engaged in an opening of the upper wall 2 of the tank 1. The compartment 37 which constitutes the feed tank communicates by a light 39 with the interior of the tubular element 38. The lower edge of this lumen is at the maximum level that the fuel is allowed to reach in the burner.
The larger capacity 36 compartment constitutes the reserve tank. A notch 40, in the upper edge of one of the partitions 35, is intended to limit the level of fuel in this tank 36. The excess fuel flows through the notch 40 into the tank 37.
The 36 tank and 37 tank are supplied by a lifting device comprising a tube 41, made of copper or brass, fixed to < / B> its upper end in a bronze ring 42, itself retained in the cover 43 of the casing 34 by means of a nut 44. A screw 45 with square pitch, extending from the top to the bottom of the tube 41, rotates inside the latter and the ring 42. This screw is supported at its lower part by a petite cra paudine 46. Its drive is provided by a motor 47 (mounted on the cover 43 by means of spacers 48) via a spring 49.
The engine is protected by a sheet metal cover 50, retained by studs 51 and nuts 51 '. L7- lower end of the tube 41 plunges to the bottom of the fuel tank 1, as shown in fig. 1, and the interior of the tube communicates with the reservoir through orifices 52. Holes 53 made in the ring 42, and located < B> at slightly different levels, allow the simultaneous discharge of the fuel raised by the screw in the tank 36 and the tank 37, by nozzles 54.
The part of the casing 34 delimiting the tank 37 is integral with a block 55, , a bore of which serves as a cylinder for a drawer < B> 56 having a groove 57 and, at its base, a conical part 58, forming a valve which can rest against a conical seat, formed at the end of the bore, under the action of a res sort 59 interposed between this drawer 56 and a 60 threaded plug fitted with a 61. seal. The lower part of the drawer has a slightly reduced diameter at 62, in order to to provide a clearance between the drawer and the wall of the bore.
Diametrically opposed channels 63, 64, open into the bore where the drawer slides, the first leading to the tank 37 and the second to a closed chamber 65 , with the interposition of a seal 67, by a fitting 66 to which the tube 20 is fixed. A channel 68 communicates the tank 37 with a groove hollowed out opposite the part of reduced diameter of the drawer 56 in block 55. A channel 69 (fig. 8) communicates the reserve reserve 36 with the chamber 70 made between the lower end of the drawer 56 and the stopper 60.
This lower end of the drawer being of reduced diameter, the fuel can go up to the annular groove dug in the bore and reach the tank 37 when the drawer is pushed back to its lower position. that is, when the conical parts 58 are no longer in contact.
The 56 spool is controlled by a 71 cam wedged on a 72 shaft projecting outward and whose operation is provided by a button at index 73. The shaft 72 can turn in a ring 74 mounted in a boss integral with a wall of the tank 37. The shaft 72 carries, moreover, another cam 75 actuating a switch 76 which is placed in the motor control circuit 47.
This switch 76 is carried by a circular boss 77 integral with the wall of the tank 37, and it is protected, as well as the cam < B> 75, by a cover 78. This has a slot 79 in which a lug 80 can move. put to the request of a tension spring 81 mounted between this pin 80 and a fixed pin 82 carried by the cover 78. A stopper 83 limits the rotation of the knob 73. The outer face of the cover 78 carries indications, which correspond to the operating mode of the device.
When the button 73 occupies the stop position shown in in fig. 9, the drawer 56 is pushed back, to its upper position, by the spring 59, as visible on the fig. 13, while its conical part 58 resting against the conical seat of the block 55, closes the passage between the reserve tank 36 and tub 37. In this position, the adjusted upper part of the drawer 56 cuts off communication between the channels 63 and 64. All supply to the burner is therefore interrupted.
Combustion air enters the appliance in the space between the wall 2 and the sheet 3, passes through the holes in the latter, then passes to each side of the room 87 </ B>, the width of which is approximately that of the burner, then enters the latter through the channels 100 pierced in its cup above the maximum fuel level and through the perforations of its lantern.
The air path is shown in fig. 3 by the arrows a.
To light the appliance, you can proceed as follows : the burner 9 is moved outwards, in order to bring it to the extended position shown in phantom on fig. 2. Alcohol can then be poured into the burner for ignition.
The burner is then pushed back, which heats up. After a short time, the operator can either turn the fuel inlet by bringing for example the index of the button 73 to the position shown in fig. 10. For this position, the position of the cam 71 is that of of in fig. 14, in which the drawer 56 is pushed downwards, so that the lower edge of the groove 57 is in a position such that communication is established between the channels 63 and 64.
As a result of moving the drawer 56 downwards, its conical part 58 has moved away from its seat, so that the chamber 70, </ B > and consequently the reserve tank 36, is put in communication with the channel 68 and consequently with the supply tank 37. </ B > The fuel that is in this tank can therefore reach the burner through channel 63, throat 57, channel 64, tube 20, and channels 22 and 23, and this with a very low flow, so that the device operates at idle speed.
As seen in fig. 10, the movement of the button 73 to bring it to the position of fig. 10 also operates the switch 76, so that the engine 47 is started and the screw 45 is driven in order to lift the fuel from the tank 1, to discharge into the tank 36 and the tank 37 through the spouts 54.
The operator can then bring the button 73 to the position shown in in fig. 11, the corresponding position of the spool 56 under the action of the control cam 71 being shown in fig. 15. For this position 9, the burner is supplied with an increased flow rate. However, the level of the fuel inside the burner cannot rise above the level it occupies in the tank 37, therefore above from the lower edge of the light 39, so that any overflow of the burner is absolutely prevented.
The lifting device is obviously set so to deliver a quantity of fuel greater than the maximum speed of the burner, with the excess fuel reaching the feed tank 37 being returned to the tank by the light 39 and by the space of annular section comprised between the walls of the element 38 and of the tube 41.
In order to purge the burner, by y sending a significant flow of fuel for a few seconds, clearly greater than the normal and usual flow, the operator brings the index of the button 73 to its limit position of anti-clockwise movement shown in fig. 12. In this case, the movement from the operating position to maximum speed to the purge position is carried out in antagonism of the spring 81. </ B > In the purge position, the groove 57 of the drawer 56 is brought into alignment with the opposite channels 63 and 64 of the part < B> 55, so that the fuel reaches the burner 9 with a significantly higher flow rate.
As soon as the operator releases button 73, the spring 81 brings it back to the position which corresponds to the maximum operating speed of the device, so that any wrong operation is possible.
To stop the appliance, the operator returns the index of button 73 to the off position, which interrupts the supply to the burner, while interrupting the operation of the motor 47 and of the lifting device.
If there is a momentary failure of the power supply, while the button 73 is in one of the operating positions, the fuel, which is in the feed tank 37, continues to reach the burner 9 as shown, since the cam 71 holds the drawer < B> 56 in the position in which it was at the time of the failure. The fuel which is in the reserve tank 36 can therefore continue to supply the burner passing through * the tank 37. When the current is restored, operation is resumed as previously indicated.
As mentioned previously, the ports 53 are slightly offset, so that the pump delivers more fuel to the reserve tank 36. This allows faster filling of the fuel. reserve tank if the fuel in it has been depleted due to a power failure.
Electrical ignition is carried out with using a resistance 101 placed inside the burner 9 </ B > (fig. 17 and 18) and connected to two terminals, 102 mounted on a 103 ear attached to the burner 9 with interposition of rings and insulating sleeves 104 and 105. The two terminals 102 are connected to two blades 106 </ B> cooperating with two contacts 107 and 108 connected respectively to terminals 109 and 110 </ B> mounted on the barrel 5a and also isolated from to the latter.
Terminal 109 is connected by a connection 111 to a switch 112 actuated by a cam 113 (fig. 18) </ B > mounted on the control shaft 72 of the spool regulating the fuel flow and operated by button 73. The terminal 110 is connected by a connection 114 to the main switch, the switch 112 being connected to the latter by a connection 115. The profile of the cam 113 is such that it causes the electrical resistance 101 to be switched on by switch 112 when the index of button 73 occupies the idling position of fig. 10,
but that resistor 101 is switched off when the index of button 73 occupies any of the other operating positions.
The ignition is carried out as follows: When the index of the button 73 occupies the stop position shown in fig. 9 and 18, the electric current is cut to the motor of the lifting device and the electric resistance 101 is switched off.
When the operator brings the index of the button 73 to the position of fig. 10, that is to say, the ignition position, the fuel begins to arrive in the burner and, simultaneously, the electric resistance 101 switched on thanks to the closing of the switch 112 by the cam 113, blushes. As the fuel reaches the bottom of the coil turns, it ignites at that location and, within seconds, the ignition propagates over the fuel web.
When the fuel is properly ignited, the operator can then choose a new operating position which corresponds to a certain operating speed of the appliance by acting on the button to </ B > index 73. When this has left the ignition position, switch 112, thanks to cam 113, has switched off the electrical resistance 101, which, however, remains in contact with the burner flames, which does not present any drawback, this resistance being designed in a special metal resistant to oxidation.
It can be seen that the burner's electric ignition device does not oppose the pivoting of the latter, the electric resistance 101 being driven with the burner during its operation. pivoting.
It is also possible, in a variant, as shown to in FIG. 8, connect the electric resistance 101 in parallel with the motor 116, this can be switched on or off using to a thermostat 117 placed on the smoke outlet. When the temperature of these is lower than 60 ,, for example, the thermostat 117 will cause the resistance to switch on, a temperature greater than than 60 ,, causing, thanks to the thermostat 117, the switching off of the electric resistance.
In the latter case, switching on is as follows : When the button to index 73 occupies the position shown to fig. 9, the motor 116 and the resistor 101 are switched off.
When the index of the button 73 is brought to the ignition position, the engine 116 and the resistance 101 are switched on the thermostat 117 being closed, the fuel entering the burner will ignite.
When the flue gas temperature reaches dra 50 ,, or 6011, that is to say, upon full ignition, the thermostat 117 will cause the switch off the electric resistance 101 and the appliance will operate normally.
In the event of an untimely power cut, the burner will be powered, as previously described, by the reserve and, thanks to the flow rate of this reserve, the flue gas temperature remaining above than 6011, the electric resistance will be constantly switched off.
If the power failure lasts a long time, exhausting the fuel reserve and cooling the appliance, everything will happen, when the power is restored again, as during normal ignition, from the as long as the index of the 73 button is in one of the positions between ignition and running at full speed, the appliance will automatically turn on again.
The electric resistance can be supplied under, 110 volts, but it can be supplied under a much lower voltage, which allows to use a wire of larger section and consequently, more resistant. .
In the latter case, a small transformer can be placed on the resistance circuit in order to transform the current of 110 volts into a current of 6 volts for example.
