Figs. 17 and 18 are views of a detail of the dispenser in elevation and in plan, respectively. The distributor shown, intended for the distribution of foods arranged on dishes, comprises a main body of rectangular shape 1 in which are housed two endless conveyors 15 and 16 arranged side to side (fig. 1 and 2). The posterior face of the body 1 is constituted by a door 2 intended to to allow the load of these carriers.
In front of the body 1, at the top of the device, there is a housing 3 in which is housed a dragging mechanism of these carriers and under this housing 3 is a compartment 4, closed by a door, in which are housed two electrical control devices to prepayment also arranged side to < / B> coast. These two devices each include a slot 6 intended for the introduction of a coin intended to trigger their operation, as well as a 9 discharge receptacle in which unsuccessful coins and, possibly, change are returned.
Under compartment 4 are arranged two inclined planes 11, placed side to side, which end at a receiving plate 12. These two inclined planes are separated by a wall 10. In front of the body 1, at the bottom of the appliance, there is a compartment 13 in which can be housed a heating or refrigeration unit intended to heat or cool the dishes. The bodywork of the body 1, which constitutes a closed envelope, may be provided with a heat insulating coating. The upper part 14 of this compartment 13 constitutes a table on which can be placed a stack of trays or any other objects which may be useful to persons using the dispenser.
The 15 conveyor consists of an endless chain 18 on which are articulated, at regular intervals, mobile platforms 19 </ B> (fig. 3 to 8). Each of the 19 plates has a side wing 21, triangular in shape, by means of which it is fixed to two axes 23 and 24 of the chain (fig. 3 and 6). These two axes 23 < / B> and 24 are not consecutive in the chain, but are separated by an axis 25 whose end is housed with play in an opening 26 drilled in the wing 21.
The chaffie 18 is carried by the toothed crown 27 (fig. 4) of a wheel 28 which is mounted loose on an upper shaft 29 carried by supports 31, 32 (fig. 4). It passes on a wheel 33 mounted madly on a lower shaft 34 carried by supports 35 and 36 (fig. 6 < / B> and 7).
During the operation of the transporter, the posterior end of the 18 chain goes up while its anterior end goes down. The rectilinear parts of the chain 18 are guided by guides 37 (fig. 5, 8, 13 and 18) formed by the wings of a sheet metal box 40, so that the plates 19 carried by the chain are kept in a horizontal position on the rectilinear parts of the chain .
The transporter 16, arranged in the same way as the transporter 15, comprises a chain 41 (fig. 4 and 7) carrying trays 42 This chain 41 is arranged on the toothed ring 43 of a wheel 44 mounted loose on the upper shaft 29, and on a toothed wheel 45 mounted loose on the lower shaft 34 (fig. 7). Chain 41 is guided by 38 gui formed by the wings of a 39. sheet metal box.
The two boxes 39 and 40 extend over the entire height of the dispenser and are rigidly fixed to the supports 31 and 32 of the upper shaft 29 and to the supports 35 and 36 of the lower shaft 34. The chain drive 18, </ B > 41 is provided by an electric motor 46 (fig. 9), de '/ -o de CV, which drives a shaft 48 to a speed of rotation of thirty revolutions to per minute, via a reduction gear 47. The shaft 48 carries a chain pinion 49 connected by a chain < B> 53 to a pinion 51 keyed to a shaft 54 carried by bearings 60.
The shaft 54 carries a 52 coupling, the output member of which is constituted by a 55 disc mounted idle on the shaft. This disc is integral with a pinion 56 which meshes with a toothed wheel 57 mounted on a shaft 58. The disc 55 < / B> can be made integral with the shaft 54 by means of a coupling mechanism, described later, which is arranged to rotate the disc 55 one turn, then to immobilize it to again after this one-turn rotation has been completed. Pinion 56 and wheel 57 have 18 and 54 teeth respectively so that wheel 57 is driven on a third of a turn during the rotation of one turn of the disc 54.
The 58 shaft is mounted in a 70 bearing and carries a chain 59 pinion which drives the wheel < B> 28 by means of a chain 71 arranged on a toothed crown 62 of this wheel 28 (fig. 4) . The transmission ratio between the pinion 59 and the wheel 28 is such that the transporter 15 advances the distance separating two plates 19 successive each time the wheel 57 turns 1200.
The conveyor 16 is driven in a similar way, from from the shaft 54, by means of a coupling 63 rotating turn by turn , comprising an output disc 64 integral with a pinion 65 meshing with a wheel 66 mounted on a shaft 67 (fig. 9). The shaft 67 has a pinion to chain 68 connected by a chain 72 to </ B> a toothed crown 69 of wheel 44 which supports chain 41 of carrier 16 (fig. 4).
The motor 46 also drives two transfer mechanisms, each associated with one of the transporters, which have the function of transferring, before each advance of the latter, on the one hand, the flat located on the upper plateau of the posterior strand on the upper plateau of the anterior strand, and on the other hand, the flat located on the lower plateau of the anterior strand on the lower plateau of the posterior strand. These transfer mechanisms also actuate ejector mechanisms which ensure the unloading of the plate located on the plate of the anterior strand which is in front of the inclined plane 11. The latter plate, which is then pushed on this plane tilted, is brought to slide onto the receiving plate 12.
These transfer mechanisms are actuated by two to one-turn couplings 84 and 85, arranged at both ends of the shaft 54 (fig. 9), </ B> whose output organs consist of 87 and 88. disks
The disc 87 is connected by a connecting rod 101 (fig. 10 and 11) to a pivoted oscillating lever 102 in 103. The ends of this lever have forks which are engaged on pins 104, 105, carried respectively by two transfer carriages 106, 107 , movable along rails 108, 109. The upper carriage 106 has a lateral pusher 111 (see fig. 3 to 11) arranged at its rear end, while the carriage 107 has a lateral push button 112 arranged at its anterior end.
A fork located at the lower end of a lever 113, rotated at 114, is also engaged on the pin 105 of the carriage 107. The upper end of this lever 113 has a fork engaged on a pin 116 integral with an ejector carriage 117 </ B > (fig. 12 and 13). This carriage 117 is movable on a rail 118 and carries a lateral pusher 119 </ B> which, in the position of the mechanism shown to in fig. 11, is behind the dish placed on the plate 19 located at the level of the posterior end of the inclined plane 11.
The upper carriage 106 is carried by grooved track rollers 121 and 122 which are engaged respectively on the upper and lower edges of the rail 108. The lower carriage 107 presents rollers 123 and 124 engaged on the rail 109, and the intermediate carriage 117 presents rollers 125, 126 engaged on rail 118 (fig. 12 and 13).
The disc 8 8 is coupled in the same way to a lever 131 (fig. 4), the ends of which are respectively connected to of the upper 132 (fig. 4) and lower 133 (fig. 7) carriages. A lever 134 whose end lower is coupled to the carriage 133 (fig. 7) controls by its upper end an intermediate carriage 135 (fig. 13). The levers 131 and 134, as well as the carriages 132, 133 and 135 which cooperate with the transporter 16, are arranged in the same way as the levers 102 and 113 and the carriages 106, 107,
117 which cooperate with the transporter 15.
The means which immobilize the coupling disc 87 after one rotation & one revolution are shown in figs. 9 and 10. They include a solenoid 137 whose mobile armature 138 is connected by a pin 136 to a lock 139 located above the disk.
When the latch 139 is brought into the raised position shown in in fig. 10, the disc 87 can rotate and the lock released subsequently and resting on the edge of the disc, secures the immobilization of the disc after this last has rotated 3601, in the direction of arrow 140 ' due to its engagement with a stopper 141 cut from the edge of the disc.
The disc 87 carries a pin 142 on which are pivoted, on the one hand an angled lever 143, and on the other hand a pawl 144, which springs 145 and 146 tend to < / B> keep in the position shown in in fig. 10. A stop 147 integral with the said 87 is intended to cooperate with a lever 148 pivoted at 149 on a support 151. This support 151 also serves as a guide for the lock 139. This last lever 148 is requested by a spring 152 which tends to hold it against a pin 153,
as shown in in fig. 10. A short energization of the solenoid 137 causes the following cycle of operations: The lock 139 is raised and releases the disk 87. When withdrawn, the lock 139 also releases the upper arm 154 of the lever 143 which then turns sharply clockwise, under the action of the spring 145, to come into the position shown to in fig. 10 in which the end of said arm 154 comes to be placed under the red worm 139, thus preventing the latter from falling back when the excitation of the solendide is interrupted.
The latch also lifts an upper arm 150 of the pawl 144 (this arm is located behind the arm 154 of the lever 143 in the position of the mechanism shown in in fig. 10), so that this pawl, thus released, can rotate under the action of the spring 146 and falls into a hollow in the teeth of a ratchet wheel 155 keyed onto shaft 54. (This 155 wheel rotates so that pawl engagement occurs shortly thereafter even though the pawl is facing a tooth wheel).
Once the pawl 144 has engaged in the ratchet wheel 155, the disc 87 is entered by the shaft 54 in the direction of the arrow 140. The lock 139, supported first by the upper end of the arm 154, is then brought to to rest on the edge of the disc 87 .
Towards the end of the rotation of the disc, the stopper 147 carried by the latter, abuts against a curved face 157 of the lever 148, which has the effect of turning this lever in the opposite direction < B> to that of clockwise (fig. 10), against the action of the spring 152. The upper arm of the lever 148 then comes push back the actuating arm 159 of a switch 161 which is thus actuated. As soon as the stopper 147 has passed the end of the lever 148, the latter is returned by the spring 152 in. the position shown to in fig. 10.
Shortly before the disc 87 has turned one turn, the arm 154 of the lever 143 and the arm 150 of the pawl 144 come into contact with the latch 139, which causes the rotation of the lever 143 and the pawl 144 in the opposite direction to that of the needles of a clock (fig. 10). This rotation pawl 144 causes the nose of the latter to to disengage from the wheel to ratchet 155, thus interrupting the drive of the disc 87 which is then stopped in a positive way following the engagement of the stopper 141 of the edge of the disc against the lock 139. The stop 147, which has passed from the other side of the lower arm of lever 148, then prevents any backward rotation of the disc 87.
During the rotation of one revolution of the disc 87, the connecting rod 101 articulated on the one hand on the disc, and on the other hand on the lever 102, oscillates the latter and thus communicates a back and forth movement to the carriages 106, 107 and 117.
The 85 coupling comprises a control solenoid 163 and functions in the same manner as the coupling 84 whose operation has just been described.
The two to one-turn 52 and 63 couplings of the conveyor drive mechanisms are controlled by 165 solenoids and 166. They work in the same way as the coupling 84 from which they differ, however, in that the discs 55 and 64 act on the pinions 56 and 65 and not a connecting rod.
The electrical to prepayment control device shown to in FIG. 14 controls the actuation of the conveyor 15. This device comprises a chute 171 located opposite the slot 6 intended for to the introduction of the coin, which leads any coin introduced to a selector device 172 which controls the quality of the coin (dimensions, weight, magnetism, etc.). The coins not accepted are rejected in a channel 174 which ends in the receptacle 9 accessible from outside the apparatus.
The accepted coins are directed by a channel 176 into a cashier 177. When passing through the channel 176, an accepted coin causes the 'actuation of an electrical switch whose actuating arm, not shown, is located in this channel.
A similar prepayment device is also provided in relation to the transporter 16. Above the container 9 is arranged a return mechanism which includes a base plate 181 and two tubes 182 and 183 of the tines to to receive a reserve of coins (fig. 15 and 16). In the base plate 181 are arranged two slides 184, 185 </ B> which have holes 186, 187 intended to house a coin . These holes can be brought, depending on the position of the slider, either facing one of the tubes 182, 183, or facing an opening cut out in a plate 188, 189 integral with the base plate.
Sliders 184, 185 carry pins 191, 192 which pass through slots 197, 198 cut in the plates 188, 189 and which are engaged in openings. cut out in levers 193, 194. A FIG. 16, the slider 184 is shown in the forward position, its hole coinciding with the opening 190 of the plate 184, while the slider 185 </ B> is shown in the withdrawn position, its hole 187 being aligned with the tube 183.
Thus, when a slide is made to pass from its withdrawn position to its advanced position, a coin from the corresponding stack is inserted, which falls into the receptacle 9. The two levers 193 and 194 are normally disposed in a rest position corresponding to the withdrawn position of the slides and their free ends are engaged in a vertical slot cut in the end a rod 195 (fig. 11) connected to the lever 102 by a rod 196. In this way, each time the transporter < B> 15 is actuated and the lever 102 performs a round trip, one piece of each of the tubes 182 and 183 is brought to < / B> fall into the container 9.
A mechanism for the return of similar currency is also provided for in relation to the 16 carrier.
The distributor is loaded through the rear door 2, the trays of the front strands of the conveyors being loaded first, then the trays of the rear strands being loaded in in turn. As shown to in fig. 11, we will leave empty the plate of the posterior strand located at the level of the pus evening 112 as well as the plate of the anterior strand located at the level of the pusher 111.
In order to facilitate the loading of the trays of the rear strands, stop devices have been provided for the dishes arranged on these trays. These devices shown in FIGS. 17 and 18 include stops formed by parallel fingers 199 cut out in the free edge of flaps 201 pivoted on vertical rods 202 mounted in supports 203, 204 and 205. These flaps 201 are four in number, to two by rod, one of the flaps of each rod being arranged above the support 204 while the other is arranged below this support.
Springs 208 disposed between fastening tabs 209 integral with the frame of the apparatus and elbow arms 207 articulated on the flaps, tension to keep the latter against stops 206, in the position shown to in fig. 18 which is suitable for the load of the trays of the hind legs. When the plates of the front strands are loaded, the flaps 201 are brought out of the device, in the position shown in phantom to in FIG. 18. In this position, the springs 208 are inoperative to fold the flaps into the appliance and on the contrary tend to to keep them in the open position .
The operation of the dispenser is as follows: A coin introduced into the slot 6 is first of all checked by the selector mechanism 172, then, if it is good , it falls into channel 176 where it activates the switch located in this channel which triggers the automatic mechanisms of the distributor. A its exit from channel 176 , the coin falls into the box 177 and any new coin introduced into the machine before the cycle of automatic operations of the dispenser has been completed is automatically directed to the return container 9, by means of an electrical mechanism not described incorporated in the selector mechanism.
The actuation of the switch located in channel 176 has the effect, on the one hand, of causing the closure of the supply circuit of the motor 46 which starts up, and on the other hand, to activate an electrically controlled meter shown in 173 (fig. 14).
If the part has been introduced into the slot 6 corresponding to the conveyor 15, the actuation of this contact also causes the solen to be energized (Command Sfde < B> 137 of the coupling 84, the disc 87 of which then rotates by one revolution. The rotation of the disc 87 has the effect, as described above now, to bring the pusher 119 to push forward the dish located on the carrier plate 15 located at its level, to slide on the inclined plane 11 which brings it onto the receiving plate 12.
The rotation of the disc 87 also causes a back and forth movement of the pushers 111 and 112 which ensure the transfer of the dishes from one strand to </ B> the other from the carrier.
Finally, the rotation of the disc 87 also causes the displacement of the drawer 195 of the coin return device which restores in the container 9 coins stored in tubes 182 and 183. In this way, the price paid may be different from the value of the coin which operates the distributor.
The solenoid 137 remains energized only for a very short time because a switch not shown which is actuated by the pin 136 causes, as soon as the lock 139 </ B> raised, the interruption of the solenolide supply current.
Shortly before stopping the disc 87, once the push-buttons 111, 112 and 119 have returned to a rest position in which they are are out of the path of the plates 19, the switch 161 (fig. 10) is actuated by the lever 148 moved by the stop 147 87 disc and the actuation of this switch causes the momentary energization of the solenoid 165 which controls the coupling 52 whose disc 55 then turns one turn. The rotation of the disc 55 has the effect, as described above, of advancing the conveyor 15 of a plate to bring a new plate in front of the inclined plane of distribution.
The disc 55 carries a stopper which actuates at the end of its travel a switch arranged in circuits such that the motor 46 is stopped shortly after the actuation of the conveyor.
The 16 conveyor actuation mechanisms work in the same way when inserting a part into the slot 6 corresponding to to </ B > this carrier. In this case, it is the 63 and 85 couplings that work.
The dispenser can also be used for dispensing other items, placed in dishes or not. When distributing food, the heating or cooling unit housed in compartment 3 will be used to maintain the desired temperature in the appliance.
