Collapsible frame for a day bed, in particular for a folding camping bed The invention relates to a folding frame for a day bed, in particular for a folding camping bed. The lying surface is formed in the type of furniture in a known manner, either by sharing between the appropriately shaped frame stretched webs or strips of textile or plastic, or by on the gesture parts to orderly upholstery.
The purpose of the invention is to create a collapsible frame for a bed, in particular for a folding camping bed, the lying surface of which is adjustable in terms of its shape or shape so that the body is as comfortable and relaxed as possible when using the bed Location is offered.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that both the frame parts for the head and leg rests and at least nm area of the headrest joints, the stand carrying the middle part can be adjusted and locked relative to this middle part in terms of inclination or height. The fact that the stands can be adjusted to different heights also has the advantage that unevenness in the floor can be compensated for when the bed is set up.
In a preferred embodiment, a stand design and a hinge design are provided for the adjustable and lockable articulated connection of the mutually adjustable gesture parts, which allows the desired adjustments of the frame parts to be carried out in a simple manner and with just a few movements.
The uprights can be assigned a double function in that they not only serve as adjustable supports for the middle part, but also as an actuating handle for fixing the articulated connections between the frame parts forming the lying surface. However, these stand and joint designs can also be used individually with advantage in such beds if the advantages resulting from their interaction with regard to the simplification of operation are dispensed with.
In particular, the uprights can then be detachably connected to the frame part, either individually or in pairs.
Further details of the invention will be explained with reference to the drawing, which shows exemplary embodiments of a folding bed frame. They show: Fig. 1 and 2 in a schematic representation of a frame pair with two different lengths of stand, in two positions of use, Fig. 3 a joint - in the locked position - for the articulated connection of the headrest with the middle part of the folding bed and with the Joint housing hinged stand pair,
4 shows a joint corresponding to FIG. 3 in the unlocking position for the connection of the legrest to the bed center part, in longitudinal section, FIG. 5 shows a cross section through the joint along line VV of FIG. 3 and FIGS. 6 and 7 show a joint design according to FIG 3, but with a detachable locking device for the stand in the position of use, in view,
partially cut and in cross section along line VII-VII in FIG. 6.
1 and 2, the middle part 1 of the collapsible bed frame is supported by uprights 4, 6 and 5, 7 pivotable about axes 2 and 3, respectively. On this middle part 1 are also the pivotable about axes 8 and 9, in headrests 10 or headrests that can be fixed at different inclinations, preferably consisting of a U-shaped tube
Articulated leg supports 11. The uprights 4, 5 and the uprights 6, 7, which can be folded onto the underside of the middle part and also preferably consist of a U-shaped tube, have different lengths and can be brought into the position of use in any pairing so that, depending on simultaneous use two stands result in different inclinations of the middle part 1 against the installation surface, as is made meaningful in Fig. 2.
Through the webs 10d, 11d of the headrest 10 and leg support 11 and the webs 4d, <I> 5d, 6d </I> and <I> 7d </I> of the stands 4, 5, 6 and 7 are the two long sides of the Frame, in particular the two central struts 1 with each other transversely verbun the (Fig. 1).
The pivot axes 2, 3 for the stand pairs 4, 6 and 5, 7 are arranged together with the hinge axes 8 and 9 for the headrests 10 and the leg rests 11 in the joint housings 12 of the adjustable and lockable headrest or leg rest joints (Fig. 3 and 4). The pivoting range of the stand pairs is limited by stop bolts 12b and 12c in the joint housing 12.
One of the both sides of the frame middle part 1 brought on and lockable joints for the headrest consists according to FIG. 3 of the toothed segment 13 connected to the headrest frame part 10, with which a locking lever under the action of the spring 14, designed as a two-armed lever 15 interacts by means of its locking lug 15a. The locking lever 15 is mounted in the joint housing 12 so as to be pivotable about the axis 16. His at the end of the lever is seen ver with a stop 15b, which protrudes into the region of the stop lugs 4a, 6a of the stand 4, 6.
The toothed segment 13 is provided with a pin 13a, on the frictional sig the stop member 17 of a push rod 18 acts, which in turn is longitudinally displaceable in the z. B. tubular, hollow central frame part 1 of the bed is guided and under the action of a also in the hollow central frame part 1 of the bed untergebrach th, biased spring 19 is.
In the arrangement according to FIG. 3, the stand 4 is in the support position. The headrest 10 is opposite to the central part 1 of the frame through the engagement between toothed segment 13 and locking lever nose 15a locked. If a different headrest inclination is to be set, then the stop 15b of the lever 15 is actuated by lifting the stand 6 not required for setting up the bed by means of its stop lug 6a, thereby disengaging the locking lug 15a from the toothed segment 13. The spring 19 can wich now relax NEN and adjusted via the push rod 18, the stop member 17 and the pin 13a of the tooth segment 13, the headrest 10 by erecting it.
The spring force is selected in such a way that the unloaded headrest is straightened up, whereas, by slightly loading the headrest, an opposite movement can be achieved with simultaneous tensioning of the spring 19. In the same way, as described for the headrest joint, the leg rest joint according to FIG. 4 is formed from. Only toothed segment 13 and leg support 11 are connected to one another in a different angular position. In the case of the leg support joint, too, the spring 19 arranged in the hollow central part 1 of the frame has an erecting effect when the leg support is unloaded, that is, it lifts the leg support 11.
The thrust of the push rod 18 and thus the possible righting movement of the headrest 10 and the leg support 11 under the action of a spring are limited by stops 17a of the stop members 17 which interact with the hinge axes 8, 9. The lowest position of the leg support is limited by a bolt 12a in the joint housing 12, but is also secured by a corresponding engagement of the locking lug 15a with the toothed segment 13. The headrest 10 can be lowered to an extended position with the middle part 1 of the frame, this position also being secured by a locking engagement between the locking lug 15a and the corresponding tooth gap of its tooth segment 13.
The legrest 11 is so well on a slight upward inclination as well as on various downward inclinations - secured by appropriate locking positions - adjustable. To fold the bed, both the headrest 10 and the leg support 11 can be folded down onto the upper side of the middle part 1, as indicated in phantom in FIGS. 3 and 4.
The stand 4-7 are preferably tubes, but can also be designed as a U-shaped bent frame parts, the shorter stand 6, 7 coaxially with the longer: upright 4, 5 but between their legs are pivotally arranged. Due to the U-shaped design or some other design that connects the stands arranged on both sides with one another, it is achieved that by actuating one stand, both associated joints or their locking devices can be actuated at the same time. Such a simplification of the operation is particularly desirable for folding beds in order not to let the number of handles required to fold the folding beds and to be carried out at the same time be greater than two, otherwise more than two hands would be required to operate.
In the joint design according to FIGS. 6 and 7, the stands 4, 6 pivotable about the stator axis 2 are assigned a locking device which serves to determine the stator in its respective position of use as a stator and to keep the other in a convenient position. This definition of the respective stand in its supporting position has the purpose of making a longitudinal displacement of the bed possible without the risk of the stand buckling.
Otherwise, the stand not used as a support is held in an easy-to-grip position by the shape of the stand joint itself in cooperation with the locking device, so that it can be easily reached to actuate the lock for the headrest or legrest adjustment.
6 and 7 are to secure the stand in their position of use around their axes 2 in the with inserts 12 "ver strengthened joint housing 12 'pivotally Gela Gerten stand 4', 6 'with outbreaks 4b, 6b provided with a below the action of the spring 14 'for the locking lever 15' interacting with the locking roller 20. In the position of use as a stand, this locking roller lies in the corresponding recess 4b (or 6b) of the respective stand 4 '(or 6').
The shape of the outbreaks 4b or 6b is chosen so that the locking roller 20 cannot leave the stand in the locked position during an adjusting movement, but rather supports it against the guide surfaces 12e or guide openings 12f of the joint housing 12 ', 12 " Locking roller 20 from the outbreaks 4b or 6b of the stand 4 'or 6' is provided an angle lever 21 which can be pivoted about the stand axis 2 and which rests against the locking roller 20 with an outbreak 21a adapted to the latter.
By actuating this angle lever 21, the locking roller 20 can be pushed out of the respective stand breakout 4b or 6b against the force of the spring 14 ', so that the lock between the stand and the joint housing 12' is canceled. It is sufficient ge if such a lock is provided only on one side of the frame, since this lock does not have to withstand large loads, but is only intended to prevent the unintentional adjustment of the stand.
The stand that is not in the supporting position lies with a supporting flank 6c or 4c against the locking roller located in the locked position and takes a frame through an easy-grip position opposite the bed (FIG. 6).
However, it is also possible to completely block one of the two pairs of stands by providing the corresponding joint housing with a blocking roller on both sides of the frame. In this case, the breakout of the other stand is designed so that it can push the locking rollers 20 out of its breakouts when this stand is pivoted. There is then no complete blocking for this stand. Preferably, you will assign the complete: Blocking to the longer stand, because with a longitudinal displacement of the bed, a greater pivoting moment can arise as a result of this greater stand length.
The actuation of the locking lever 15 'takes place, as already described ben, by the stops 6a' and 4a 'of the respective stand 4' and 6 '. The device is described here using a single joint. However, each of the joints provided can of course be designed in the same way.
The actuation of the angle lever 21 to lift off the lock can be done by hand. However, it can also be done by swiveling up the stand that is not i used as a support. The swivel angle ratios for actuating the locking lever 15 'and the angle lever 21 are advantageously selected so that
that initially only the lock 15 'for the head or leg rest is released and only when the respective stand is pivoted further is the angle lever actuated to release the stand lock.
