Verfahren zur Ornamentierung von Platten und danach hergestelltes Erzeugnis Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Orna- mentierung von z.B. aus Metall, Steinholz, Holz, Kunststoff oder sonstigem Material hergestellten Platten, zur Verwendung für Möbel, wie Tische oder Hocker oder zur Täfelung von Wänden oder Decken.
Es sind) Platten unpoliert, poliert oder geschliffen bekannt, die mit einem beständigen Polyesterlack in Form eines überzuges überdeckt sind. Hierbei han delt es sich um einfarbige, vorbehandelte Platten ohne Ornamentierung. Ferner sind Einlegearbeiten in Mo saik bzw. als Glasmalerei bekannt. Des weiteren gehö ren Glasplatten in den verschiedensten Farbtönun- gen, wie Rauchtopas od. dgl. zum Stand der Tech nik.
Es sind ferner Platten, hergestellt aus farbigem Kunststoff bekannt.
Selbstverständlich gehört zum Stand der Technik das Eingravieren von Ornamenten auf vorbearbeitete, polierte Platten der verschiedensten Werkstoffe.
Die Herstellung einer Flächen- oder Körperorna- mentik auf Platten weist bei den bisher bekannten Verfahren den Nachteil auf, dass die Herstellung im Einzelnen komplizicat und demzufolge mit hohen Herstellungskosten verbunden ist.
Die Erfindung bezweckt diese Nachteile zu ver meiden, indem sie ein Verfahren schafft, nach wel chem die Herstellungskosten derartiger Flächen- und Körperornamente auf Platten, z. B. aus Metall, Steinholz, Holz, Kunststoff oder sonstigem Material sehr billig ist und. ausserdem den gestellten Anforde rungen an Haltbarkeit in jeder Weise entspricht.
Zu diesem Zweck besteht die Erfindung darin, dass die vorgeschliffene oder vorpolierte Platte, mit einem Flächen- oder Körperornament versehen und mit einem zweckmässig farblosen Polyesterlack über spritzt oder übergossen wird, worauf der überzug so lange einer erhöhten Temperatur ausgesetzt wird, bis die Oberfläche glasartig erhärtet und schleif-, mattier- und polierfest ist.
Die mit Ornamenten versehene Platte nach dem Verfahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Flä chen- oder Körperornament ein Farbendruck, eine Tapete, Druckfolie, Kunststoffolie oder ein mit Muster versehenes Gewebe ist.
Hierbei können die Flächen- oder Körperorna mente auf die Platte gedruckt oder als separate Ein heit in ausgespanntem Zustand aufgeklebt oder auf sonstige Art und Weise befestigt werden. Der Polyesterlack wird erfindungsgemäss auf die Orna- mentik aufgespritzt oder -gegossen und ist nach dem glasartigen Erhärten schleif-, mattier- und polierfest.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Gegenstandes der Erfindung ist in der Zeichnung dargestellt. Es zeigen Fig. 1 eine perspektivische Darstellung einer nach dem Verfahren hergestellten Platte ; Fig. 2 einen Schnitt gemäss Linie II-H in Fig. 1. Gemäss den Figuren 1 und 2 besteht die Platte 1 beispielsweise aus Holz, deren Oberfläche 1' po liert oder geschliffen ist.
Auf die Oberfläche 1' der Platte 1 ist eine Zwischenschicht 2 in Form einer Papiertapete od. dgl. mit farbiger Musterung auf geklebt.
Die Papiertapete 2 ist dabei in gespanntem Zustand aufzubringen. über die Papiertapete 2 wird ein farbloser Polyesterlack 3 aufgespritzt, der die gesamte Fläche schlichtartig überdeckt. Nach dem Trocknungsprozess, der bei einer höheren Tempe ratur durchgeführt wird, erhält der Polyesterlack 3 ein glasartiges Aussehen, wobei die Oberfläche den Eindruck einer Glasplatte, Rauchtopas-Platte oder Spiegelfläche macht.
Hierbei kann der Polyesterlack 3 nach vollständigem Erkalten, ggf. zusätzlich poliert, mattiert oder geschliffen werden. Der Kantenabschluss kann je nach Belieben durch eine umlaufende Metall- bzw. Kunststofffeiste 4 od. dgl. begrenzt sein.

For this purpose, the invention consists in that the pre-ground or pre-polished plate is provided with a surface or body ornament and is sprayed or poured over with an appropriately colorless polyester lacquer, whereupon the coating is exposed to an elevated temperature until the surface hardens like glass and is resistant to grinding, matting and polishing.
The plate provided with ornaments according to the method is characterized in that the surface or body ornament is a color print, wallpaper, printing film, plastic film or a fabric provided with a pattern.
Here, the surface or body elements can be printed on the plate or glued as a separate unit in the unclamped state or attached in any other way. According to the invention, the polyester lacquer is sprayed or poured onto the ornamentation and, after vitreous hardening, is resistant to grinding, matting and polishing.

According to FIGS. 1 and 2, the plate 1 consists, for example, of wood, the surface 1 'of which is polished or sanded.
