Patin à glace et son protège-lame La présente invention a pour objet un patin à glace et son protège-lame, le patin comprenant une pièce de fixation de la lame, caractérisés en ce que le protège-lame comprend deux parties latérales parallèles et une partie transversale reliant les parties latérales l'une à l'autre sur un de leurs bords longi tudinaux, de manière, lorsque le protège-lame est en place, que les parties latérales couvrent les faces latérales de la lame et butent contre la pièce de fixa tion par leur bord longitudinal opposé à la partie transversale et que celle-ci recouvre la face de glis sement de la lame sans la toucher.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution du patin et du protège-lame objets de l'invention.
La fig. 1 est une vue, partiellement en coupe, de cette forme d'exécution.
La fig. 2 est une coupe selon 2-2 de la fig. 1. La fig. 3 est une vue prise depuis la droite de la fig. 1: Le patin à glace de cette forme d'exécution com prend deux supports 1 et 2 destinés à être vissés dans la semelle d'un soulier de patinage. Ces sup ports portent une pièce de fixation 3 pour la lame 4 du patin qui est montée dans la pièce de fixation 3 par son bord longitudinal supérieur. La lame 4 se termine à l'avant du patin par un montant 5 d'une pièce avec elle et fixé à une plaque mince 6 destinée à appuyer contre la semelle du soulier et à être fixée à cette semelle avec le support 2.
Le protège-lame comprend deux parties latérales allongées 7 et 8, parallèles l'une à l'autre et reliées entre elles sur l'un de leurs bords longitudinaux par une partie transversale 9, par exemple par soudure. Le protège-lame constitue donc un étui de section en U, fermé à son extrémité avant 10. Les deux parties latérales 7 et 8 présentent un renflement, 11 et 12 respectivement, sur leur bord longitudinal opposé à la partie transversale 9. A l'arrière, les parties latérales 7 et 8 portent un axe 13 monté de manière à pouvoir tourner dans ces parties.
L'axe 13 porte un étrier 14 en U et un levier de commande 15 présentant une fente 16 dans laquelle passe l'étrier 14.
La hauteur des parties latérales 7 et 8 du pro tège-lame est telle que lorsque le protège-lame est en place sur le patin, comme représenté au dessin, leur bord longitudinal supérieur bute contre la pièce de fixation 3, et la partie transversale 9 recouvre la surface de glissement 17 de la lame sans la tou cher. La lame est ainsi suspendue dans le pro tège-lame.
Le protège-lame se monte sur la lame en intro duisant celle-ci entre les parties renflées 11 et 12 des parties latérales 7 et 8, qui font ressort, de manière que ces parties latérales recouvrent et protègent les faces latérales de la lame 4. Pour cela, le levier 15 doit être tourné vers le bas en regardant la fig. 1, de manière que l'étrier 14 soit en dehors de parties renflées 11 et 12 du protège-lame. Il est facile alors de monter ce dernier sur la lame en plaçant l'extré mité avant 10 contre la partie correspondante de la lame. On fait ensuite basculer le levier 15 vers le haut dans la position représentée à la fig. 1.
L'étrier 14 s'engage sur les parties renflées 11 et 12 et les rapproche l'une de l'autre, bloquant ainsi les parties latérales 7 et 8 du protège-lame sur la lame. Pour retirer le protège-lame, il suffit de placer le levier 15 dans sa position abaissée pour débloquer les parties latérales 7 et 8.
Le patineur peut marcher avec les patins munis du protège-lame sans risquer d'abîmer la lame.
Ice skate and its blade guard The present invention relates to an ice skate and its blade guard, the skate comprising a part for fixing the blade, characterized in that the blade guard comprises two parallel side parts and a transverse part connecting the side parts to each other on one of their longitudinal edges, so, when the blade guard is in place, that the side parts cover the side faces of the blade and butt against the piece of fixing by their longitudinal edge opposite to the transverse part and that the latter covers the sliding face of the blade without touching it.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the pad and of the blade guard which are the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a view, partially in section, of this embodiment.
Fig. 2 is a section on 2-2 of FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is a view taken from the right of FIG. 1: The ice skate of this embodiment com takes two supports 1 and 2 intended to be screwed into the sole of a skating shoe. These supports carry a fixing part 3 for the blade 4 of the pad which is mounted in the fixing part 3 by its upper longitudinal edge. The blade 4 ends at the front of the skate with an upright 5 integral with it and fixed to a thin plate 6 intended to press against the sole of the shoe and to be fixed to this sole with the support 2.
The blade guard comprises two elongated lateral parts 7 and 8, parallel to one another and interconnected on one of their longitudinal edges by a transverse part 9, for example by welding. The blade guard therefore constitutes a case of U-shaped section, closed at its front end 10. The two side parts 7 and 8 have a bulge, 11 and 12 respectively, on their longitudinal edge opposite to the transverse part 9. At the rear, the side parts 7 and 8 carry an axis 13 mounted so as to be able to rotate in these parts.
The axis 13 carries a U-shaped caliper 14 and a control lever 15 having a slot 16 through which the caliper 14 passes.
The height of the side parts 7 and 8 of the blade guard is such that when the blade guard is in place on the pad, as shown in the drawing, their upper longitudinal edge abuts against the fastener 3, and the transverse part 9 covers the sliding surface 17 of the blade without touching it. The blade is thus suspended in the blade protector.
The blade guard is mounted on the blade by inserting the latter between the swelling parts 11 and 12 of the side parts 7 and 8, which spring, so that these side parts cover and protect the side faces of the blade 4. For this, the lever 15 must be turned downwards, looking at fig. 1, so that the yoke 14 is outside of the bulging parts 11 and 12 of the blade guard. It is then easy to mount the latter on the blade by placing the front end 10 against the corresponding part of the blade. The lever 15 is then tilted upwards into the position shown in FIG. 1.
The yoke 14 engages on the bulged parts 11 and 12 and brings them closer to one another, thus locking the side parts 7 and 8 of the blade guard on the blade. To remove the blade guard, simply place the lever 15 in its lowered position to release the side parts 7 and 8.
The skater can walk with the skates fitted with the blade guard without risking damage to the blade.
