<B>Brevet additionnel</B> subordonné au brevet principal n 192.605. Fixation de ski. L'objet de la présente invention est une fixation de ski, comprenant un organe pas sant derrière le talon et dont les extrémités sont reliées au ski, vers l'avant du soulier, par des organes d'attache, dont chacun est formé, sur une partie de sa longueur au moins, par une chaîne dont les maillons sont arti culés entre eux autour d'axes horizontaux disposés transversalement au ski.
Cette fixa tion est caractérisée en ce que les maillons de cette chaîne, sur une partie de sa longueur au moins et sur l'un de ses bords, présentent des talons qui viennent en contact lorsque la chaîne est rectiligne et qui l'empêche de se courber du côté de ce bord dans le but que, lorsque cette chaîne est disposée sur le ski, le bord susmentionné tourné vers le haut, il y ait production d'une tension diagonale.
Le dessin ci-annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de la présente invention.
La fig. 1 en est une vue en plan et les fig. 2 et 3 en sont des vues en élévation dans deux positions différentes de fonctionnement. La fig. 4 montre un détail en plan.
Les fig. 5 et 6 sont une vué en élévation de ce détail dans deux positions différentes de fonctionnement. La fig. 7 montre un autre détail. 1 est le bois du ski sur lequel sont fixées les mâchoires usuelles 2 entre lesquelles s'en gage l'avant du soulier. Le dispositif d'at tache comprend un ressort à boudin 3, pas sant derrière le talon, et deux chaînes laté rales 4.
Chaque chaîne est formée deV plaquettes verticales 5 reliées entre elles par des paires de plaquettes G également verticales, toutes ces plaquettes pouvant tourner autour d'axes horizontaux 7 disposés transversalement au ski. Sur un des bords de la chaîne et le long d'un tronçon 4a de celle-ci, les plaquettes 6 présentent des talons 8 qui, lorsque la chaîne est rectiligne (voir fig. 5), se touchent et em pêchent de courber la chaîne du côté de ce bord. Par contre, comme sur l'autre bord, ces talons n'existent pas, il est possible de courber librement la chaîne de ce côté là, comme montré en fig. 6.
Chaque chaîne est fixée, d'une part, à l'extrémité du ressort â boudin 3 par un pis ton 9 pouvant librement tourner dans une douille 10 de ce ressort et, d'autre part, à un tendeur fixé sur le bois, en avant du sou lier. Ce tendeur, qui ne sera pas décrit plus en détail, comprend un étrier 11, présentant de chaque côté une rainure 12, dans laquelle est engagé un axe de la chaîne (voir fig. 7). Sous les mâchoires chaque chaîne passe entre deux guides 13.
A la montée, la chaîne est disposée comme montré en fig. 2, le bord du tronçon 4. oii sont disposés les talons 8, étant tourné vers le bas; la chaîne peut donc librement se courber dans le sens vertical en arrière des mâchoires, lorsque le talon s'élève ou s'abaisse. Pour la descente, on fait tourner chaque chaîne de<B>180'</B> de faon que le bord présen tant les talons 8 se trouve en haut, comme montré en fig. 3.
Le tronçon 4a ne peut donc pas être courbé vers le haut et constitue une pièce rigide prenant appui par une extrémité sous les mâchoires; le point d'articulation de la chaîne se trouve ainsi reporté du bord arrière des mâchoires 2 jusqu'à l'extrémité arrière du tronçon 4$, ce qui crée une tension diagonale, c'est-à-dire une force tendant à maintenir le talon contre le ski.

This binding is characterized in that the links of this chain, over part of its length at least and on one of its edges, have heels which come into contact when the chain is straight and which prevents it from slipping. bend to the side of this edge with the aim that when this chain is placed on the ski with the aforementioned edge facing upwards, there is production of a diagonal tension.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention.

Figs. 5 and 6 are an elevational view of this detail in two different operating positions. Fig. 7 shows another detail. 1 is the wood of the ski on which are fixed the usual jaws 2 between which the front of the shoe is engaged. The fastening device comprises a coil spring 3, not behind the heel, and two side chains 4.
Each chain is formed of vertical plates 5 interconnected by pairs of plates G which are also vertical, all of these plates being able to rotate around horizontal axes 7 arranged transversely to the ski. On one of the edges of the chain and along a section 4a of the latter, the plates 6 have heels 8 which, when the chain is straight (see fig. 5), touch each other and prevent the chain from bending. on the side of this edge. On the other hand, as on the other edge, these heels do not exist, it is possible to freely bend the chain on this side, as shown in fig. 6.
Each chain is fixed, on the one hand, to the end of the coil spring 3 by a pin 9 which can freely rotate in a bush 10 of this spring and, on the other hand, to a tensioner fixed to the wood, in before the sou bind. This tensioner, which will not be described in more detail, comprises a caliper 11, having a groove 12 on each side, in which an axis of the chain is engaged (see FIG. 7). Under the jaws each chain passes between two guides 13.
When ascending, the chain is arranged as shown in fig. 2, the edge of section 4. where the heels 8 are arranged, being turned downwards; the chain can therefore freely bend in the vertical direction behind the jaws, when the heel is raised or lowered. For the descent, each chain is rotated by <B> 180 '</B> so that the edge presenting the heels 8 is at the top, as shown in fig. 3.
The section 4a therefore cannot be bent upwards and constitutes a rigid part supported by one end under the jaws; the articulation point of the chain is thus transferred from the rear edge of the jaws 2 to the rear end of the section 4 $, which creates a diagonal tension, that is to say a force tending to maintain the heel against the ski.
