Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, diverses formes d'exécution de l'ensemble faisant l'objet de l'invention La fig. 1 représente, en coupe, une vue de détail d'une première forme d'exécution de l'ensemble ; les fig. 2 et 3 représentent des variantes de cette première forme d'exécution ; la fig. 4 représente en demi-élévation et. demi- coupe transversale une forme d'exécution de l'ensem ble constitué par une enveloppe pour tubes lumi nescents ; la fig. 5 représente une forme d'exécution de l'ensemble constitué par un récipient à plaque de fermeture ;
Set of two elements assembled in a leaktight manner The present invention relates to a set of two elements assembled in a sealed manner, characterized in that it comprises, on the one hand, a profile adapted to one of the elements and, on the other hand on the other hand, a sealing member clamped between the profile and the other element of the assembly, said profile also being elastically applied to the second element, which constitutes at least two contacts ensuring good sealing.
According to a particular embodiment of said assembly, the part of the profile applied to the second element has the shape of a hook hooked onto an edge of this second element, this profile ensuring, at the same time, the clamping of the member. sealing, 1 "easily removable assembly of the two elements, the sealing of this assembly by the combination of the tightening of the sealing member and its own application on the second element.
According to other particular embodiments of the assembly, the profile can be fitted to the first element a) by engaging the edge of this element in a groove of the profile; b) by engaging part of the profile in a groove, groove or rim of this element; c) by tightening on this element, by bolts or others.
In a particular embodiment, the assembly constitutes an envelope for a luminescent tube formed by a base and a transparent globe.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, various embodiments of the assembly forming the subject of the invention. FIG. 1 shows, in section, a detail view of a first embodiment of the assembly; figs. 2 and 3 show variants of this first embodiment; fig. 4 represents in half-elevation and. half cross section an embodiment of the assembly consisting of a casing for luminescent tubes; fig. 5 shows an embodiment of the assembly consisting of a container with a closure plate;
fig. 6 shows, in section, a detail view of the embodiment of FIG. 5; fig. 7 is an embodiment of the assembly, the elements of which are constituted by an axis and a wall.
The embodiments and variants of the assembly shown in the drawing include a profile 4, made of a material such as vulcanized rubber, plastic or the like, and having a hook-shaped section.
Overall shown in FIG. 4, the profile 4, in the form of a hook, joins together and provides the seal between two elements making up an envelope for luminescent tubes, one of which constitutes a base 1, while the other is a transparent globe 2.
Said profile 4, in the form of a hook, has a profile comprising at the upper part a groove 5, allowing it to be fixed to the edge of the base 1, while its lower part is extended by a tab 7, coming to hook. on a rim 8 of the transparent globe 2.
This profile 4, in the form of a hook, is made in a single piece going around the two elements 1 and 2, in the manner of a molding, and crushes between it and the edge of. globe 2 a sealing member 9, made of foam, plastic or the like.
The shape of the section of the profile 4, hook-shaped, in the embodiments of FIGS. 1, 2, 3 and 4, is inclined or rounded at 20, so as to facilitate the flow of water sliding on the base 1, which also has, for this purpose, a section of rounded or inclined shape, allowing water to flow without staying there.
The tab 7 of the hook, serving as a bare retaining means between the base 1 and the globe 2, ends in a profile having a projecting edge 10, located at a distance from the wall of the second element 2 of the assembly, and allowing, on the one hand, a better grip for the separation of the profile 4, when one wants to remove the seal and facilitating, on the other hand,
the flow of condensation water when this edge 10 is directed downwards.
Globe 2 is also designed so as to allow perfect drainage of water and ends, for this purpose, with a point 11.
The sealing member 9 is firmly held in place and the two elements 1 and 2, constituting the whole, firmly fixed to one another, thanks to the semi-rigid elasticity of the rubber or the material, making the tab 7. On the other hand, the part of the profile 4, hook-shaped, forms a bead 17 which bears at two points A and B, in the re-entrant angle of the rim of the second element 2; the part B coming to rest on the outer vertical lateral face of the transparent globe 2 and the part A which serves to apply the flange 8 on the sealing member 9, coming to be crushed on this shoulder.
The contacts of parts A and B, thanks to the plasticity of the material making up the profile 4, form two other seals in series with the sealing member 9, thus strengthening the seal of the assembly.
Part 21 of profile 4, remaining inside the assembly, comprises a groove, embossing or the like 22, allowing interior elements to be attached. In the case of fig. 4, for example, the groove 21 allows the attachment of an internal reflector 24.
Figs. 1, 2 and 3 represent variants of the assembly of FIG. 4.
In the case of fig. 1, the sealing member 9 and the hook 4 are identical to those already described, the edge 12 of the globe 2, serving as a seat for the sealing member, is designed so as to provide a cradle 13, in which the seal is embedded by following its shape.
In the case of fi-. 2 and 3, the shape of the hook 4 is different and does not have a groove 5, in which the edge 6 of the base 1 is fixed, but simply has a tab 14, which is fixed inside said base . The sealing member 9 is produced as above or else by a pneumatic element 15.
It is also expected that the edge 12 of the globe 2 may, instead of comprising a concave cradle 13, as in the case of FIG. 1, have, on the contrary, a convex rounding 16 (fig. 3), the shape of which would also be matched by the sealing member 9.
In the embodiment of the assembly shown in FIG. 5 and 6, a closure panel 21 comprises, over the entire periphery of its edges, a stamped 25 forming a groove 26 and in which the bead 17 rests, terminating the end of the tab 7 of the shaped section 4. hook.
This bead 17, by crushing into the groove 26 of the embo: uti 25, thus gives two lines of sealing contact, the convex part of the stamping 25 being pressed on the sealing member 9.
The profile 4, in the form of a hook, has, at its upper part, a base 18 which is inserted in a profile 27, made integral with the edge of the receptacle opening 11.
This profile 27 is produced with dimensions such that the base 18 of the profile 4 is slightly crushed and allows longitudinal grooves 28 to increase the seal at this location.
The protruding edge 10, terminating the tab 7 of the hook-shaped profile 4, can change shape depending on the way in which the seal is used. In fact, if the seal is directed downwards, this projecting edge 10 can be used so as to cause a drop of water; otherwise, it can be truncated, as indicated in dotted lines in fig. 6. It is also noted that a recess 29 is provided, allowing the thumbs to be placed to facilitate the removal of the seal.
The embodiment of the assembly shown in FIG. 7 is formed by a shaft 2., passing through a wall L.
In this embodiment, a sealing ring 20 bis constituted by a segment made of hard material, such as metal or the like, is fitted inside the profile 4 and serves as a sealing member.
This segment 20a is slightly domed on the outside and receives from the body of the section a thrust applying it to the shaft 2,,.
The bearing of the segment 20a on the shaft 2 consists of a nose 31, slightly rounded so as to allow movement of the axis.
The second contact of the profile, which increases the seal, is constituted by the lug 7, extending the seal and pressing on the shaft 2, this lug 7 also allowing, on the one hand, a wiping. on the shaft and, on the other hand, thanks to its rounded outer shape 20, to reject the liquid which rises along said shaft.
If an even greater seal is desired, the section can be extended at its upper part so as to reproduce the same characteristics as those shown in FIG. 7. It is also possible to increase the thickness of the profile or accommodate several sealing segments, which would increase the number of contacts.
The profile thus produced is clamped on the edge of the wall 1, by means of a collar 32 held by a series of bolts 19.
The assembly shown has the advantage of being silent, flexible and of allowing a relatively large displacement of the axis.
