Abstract

A steam generator has a base (1) and a lid (2), both injection mouldings. Between the lid and the base a sealing ring (29) is captive at an inter-engagement zone and held compressed by lid-engagement members (24) and base-engagement members (39), which interengage and are integral parts of the mouldings of the lid and base. A heating element (6) is mounted in the base.
