Device for upright bending of flat iron bars The invention relates to a device for upright bending of flat iron bars, in particular special for the production of curved railings and is characterized by a segment that can be moved by means of an oil-hydraulic press and by two abutment rollers, the segment and the abutment rollers using guide to accommodate the flat iron bar to be bent.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. 1 shows schematically the most important parts of the device in the position before the beginning of the bending of a flat iron rod, FIG. 2 shows a view of FIG. 1 from the front after the bending process has ended, FIG. 3 shows a view from above of the device and FIG 4 shows a section along line IV-IV in FIG.
The essential parts of the device are a semicircular segment 4 and two abutment rollers 2, 3. The abutment rollers are mounted by means of axle bolts 6 between two parallel counter pressure plates 7 arranged at a distance from one another. The segment 4 can be pushed between the rollers 2, 3 (arrow direction Fig. 1) by means of a hand operated ble oil hydraulic press, not shown, the piston rod 9 engages in a recess 5 of the segment.
The segment 4 and the abutment rollers 2, 3 have guide grooves 10 and 11 of rectangular cross-section, the depth of which preferably corresponds to half the height of the cross-section of the flat iron rod 1 to be bent. In this way, the flat iron bar 1 to be bent, as shown in FIG. 2, is practically completely enclosed by the guide grooves 10, 11 when the segment 4 passes between the counter-bearing rollers 2, 3. The rod 1 to be bent is inserted upright between the segment 4 and the two abutment rollers 2, 3 (see FIG. 1) and the segment 4 is then pressed between the rollers 2, 3 by means of the press.
In order to be able to produce curved railings of different cross-sections and different radii of curvature, sets of segments 4 of different sizes and abutment rollers 2, 3 of different diameters are provided. The counter pressure plates 7 are provided for this purpose with two rows of axle holes 12 which extend on both sides of the center line. The rollers 2, 3 can thus be mounted between the counter-pressure plates 7 at different distances from one another.
The sizes of the various segments 4 and the diameters of the various abutment rollers 2, 3 and the width and depth of their guide grooves 10, 11 are expediently chosen so that the flat iron 1 to be bent can be used in any selected size of the segment and the rollers as well for each selected distance between the rollers and the segment, up to half the height of its cross-section is taken up by the guide grooves.
Examples of an allocation of certain sizes of the segment on the one hand and the abutment rollers on the other hand result from the following table:
