Description

  

  Raccord pour tuyau souple    L'invention se rapporte au raccordement des  tuyaux souples en matière plastique naturelle ou  synthétique.  



  On a déjà proposé à cet effet des raccords com  prenant un élément femelle dans lequel est engagée  l'extrémité du tuyau pourvue d'un     élément    de renfle  ment permettant son serrage par un manchon entou  rant le tuyau, et se vissant sur l'élément femelle. Dans  les réalisations connues de ce genre, l'étanchéité est  essentiellement obtenue par compression de la     partie     renflée du tuyau et reste alors aléatoire dans le  temps.  



  La présente invention a pour objet un raccord  de ce genre, caractérisé en ce que l'élément de ren  flement est constitué par une olive creuse se plaçant  dans le tuyau de façon à laisser l'extrémité même  de ce tuyau former une lèvre circulaire d'étanchéité  dont le bord est mis en appui, au serrage du raccord,  contre un évasement que présente l'élément femelle  précité.  



  Une forme d'exécution d'un raccord selon l'in  vention sera maintenant décrite, à titre d'exemple,  en se référant au dessin annexé, dont la figure uni  que est une vue en coupe axiale du raccord, divisée  en deux demi-vues inférieure et supérieure montrant  respectivement le raccord avant et après serrage.  



  Le raccord ici représenté comprend un élément  femelle symétrique 1 pour la jonction de deux  tuyaux, un seul étant représenté.  



  Cet élément femelle 1 présente à chaque extré  mité un filetage externe sur lequel peut se visser un  manchon 18, tandis qu'il présente intérieurement un  évasement de son canal central, comprenant une  surface tronconique 3. Le tuyau souple à raccorder  est représenté en 15, et le manchon 18 comporte  une embase 181 dont le diamètre interne est légè  rement supérieur au diamètre externe     normal    du    tuyau. L'extrémité de ce dernier est destinée à rece  voir, après engagement du manchon 18, une olive  creuse 16 assurant son renflement.  



  La partie de l'olive 16 s'engageant en premier  dans le tuyau présente en     particulier    des crans cir  culaires 17 destinés à s'opposer à son expulsion.  Cette olive 16 est engagée dans le tuyau de façon  à laisser l'extrémité même du tuyau former une lèvre  circulaire 151, dont le bord est destiné à être     mis     en appui contre l'évasement tronconique 3 au serrage  du raccord. L'olive 16 présente, en outre, du côté de  la lèvre 151, un bourrelet     terminal    161 qui vient alors  s'appuyer contre ladite lèvre 151.

   L'extrémité du  tuyau ayant été ainsi déformée en une lèvre d'étan  chéité dont le bord est appliqué contre l'évasement  3 lors du serrage du manchon 18, une étanchéité  rigoureuse peut être en fait obtenue par simple ser  rage manuel, étant à noter que le contact étanche  assuré par cette lèvre sera, en outre,     renforcé    en  service sous l'action de la pression du fluide appelée  à régner dans le raccord. Enfin, il doit être entendu  que l'élément femelle d'un raccord selon l'invention  peut être agencé pour ne     recevoir    qu'un seul tuyau  et constituer par ailleurs un élément intermédiaire  de raccordement avec un autre organe, ou dispositif,  dont il peut être partie intégrante.

  The object of the present invention is a fitting of this type, characterized in that the bulging element is constituted by a hollow olive being placed in the pipe so as to leave the very end of this pipe to form a circular lip of sealing, the edge of which is pressed, when the fitting is tightened, against a flare that the aforementioned female element has.



  An embodiment of a connector according to the invention will now be described, by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawing, the single figure of which is a view in axial section of the connector, divided into two halves. lower and upper views respectively showing the connection before and after tightening.



  The connector shown here comprises a symmetrical female element 1 for the junction of two pipes, only one being shown.



  This female element 1 has at each end an external thread onto which a sleeve 18 can be screwed, while it has an internal flaring of its central channel, comprising a frustoconical surface 3. The flexible pipe to be connected is shown at 15, and the sleeve 18 comprises a base 181 whose internal diameter is slightly greater than the normal external diameter of the pipe. The end of the latter is intended to receive, after engagement of the sleeve 18, a hollow olive 16 ensuring its bulge.



  The part of the olive 16 first engaging in the pipe has in particular circular notches 17 intended to oppose its expulsion. This olive 16 is engaged in the pipe so as to let the very end of the pipe form a circular lip 151, the edge of which is intended to bear against the frustoconical flare 3 when the fitting is tightened. The olive 16 also has, on the side of the lip 151, a terminal bead 161 which then comes to bear against said lip 151.

   The end of the pipe having been thus deformed into a sealing lip whose edge is applied against the flare 3 during the tightening of the sleeve 18, a rigorous seal can in fact be obtained by simple manual tightening, it should be noted that the sealed contact provided by this lip will, moreover, be reinforced in service under the action of the pressure of the fluid required to prevail in the connection. Finally, it should be understood that the female element of a connector according to the invention can be arranged to receive only one pipe and moreover constitute an intermediate connection element with another member, or device, of which it can. be an integral part.
