Man ging daher, z.
Fig. 1 eine Seitenansicht des Gesamtaufbaues der Zuführvorrichtung,
Device for feeding bar-shaped material to an automatic scale
The invention relates to a device for feeding rod-shaped material with a length that is many times greater than its strength, e.g. B. of macaroni, spaghetti or the like, to an automatic, preferably used in a packaging machine for use scale.
In the attempt to weigh such packaging goods fully automatically, it has been shown that the previously common vibrating troughs or conveyor belts are not very suitable for carrying out the even and trouble-free supply to the weighing pan, which is absolutely necessary for accurate weighing. This is primarily due to the fact that the aforementioned goods tend to tilt during the conveying movement and often already in the outlet of the feed hopper and thereby cause blockages or delays in the conveying flow.
One went therefore, z. B. with macaroni, about to be attached to the vibrating troughs or tangential to the same swinging scrapers or the like to pull apart and align the macaroni fed to the funnel so far that they last in a layer and parallel to each other on the in the The part of the vibrating chutes that opens into the weighing pan However, this type of feed is not satisfactory either, since the single-layer conveying cannot achieve high weighing capacities and this conveying device is often subject to malfunctions, especially if the macaroni or spaghetti to be weighed are partially crooked or cut off uncleanly.
According to the invention, these disadvantages should be remedied in that the shaft-like outlet of the hopper of the device has a dividing device for the material located in the shaft outlet, which comprises a gate valve and a pivotable separating wedge arranged at an adjustable distance above the same and which has a deflection device, for example in Shape of a deflecting flap, which is automatically controlled in such a way that it feeds the bulk quantities of the weighing pan divided by the dividing device directly as a pre-fill quantity on the one hand and between such pre-fill quantities via several electromagnetically controlled vibrating channels, each provided with a number of stages, as a fine material flow.
For the constant alignment of the material forming the fine flow, adjustable run-on tongues can be provided on the steps of the vibrating troughs at a certain distance from the respective stage and arranged in the central axis of the same, which also support the pulling apart of the subsets given to the vibrating troughs. Appropriately, the steps of the vibrating trough opening directly into the weighing pan are each provided with a retaining device which, when the vibrating troughs are switched off, when the target weight is reached, holds back the goods on the relevant step and dampens the vibrations of the vibrating trough.
These holdings, which are jointly controlled by the scales, cause an immediate interruption of the flow of material and prevent further material from being conveyed to the outlet after the vibrating chute has been switched off, thus causing congestion or gaps in the conveying layer on the vibrating chute.
The inventive design of the feed device enables a rapid pre-filling of the weighing pan with aligned material and, in addition, a uniform flow of fine material is available for weighing, so that a high performance and particularly accurate weights can be achieved.
The invention is illustrated on the drawing using an exemplary embodiment of a device for supplying spaghetti.
Show it:
1 shows a side view of the overall structure of the feed device,
2 shows a front view of the dividing device on the hopper of the device and
3 shows a partial top view of the vibrating channel opening into the weighing pan of the automatic balance.
The hopper 1 of the feed device shown is fed either by hand or by machine with the spaghetti S to be weighed in the present example. At the shaft-like outlet 2 of this funnel 1 there is a dividing device, which consists of a preferably arcuate gate valve 3 and a separating wedge 4 arranged at a distance above the valve, the lower edge of which is also arcuate.
Slide 3 and separating wedge 4 are pivotably mounted on the funnel 1 or shaft 2 and are each actuated alternately by an electromagnet 5 or 6, in such a way that the slide 3 keeps the outlet shaft 2 locked until the separating wedge 4 is swiveled into this shaft and vice versa. As a result of the pivoting movement of the separating wedge 4, a certain subset St of the spaghetti S is separated above the slide 3 and at the same time the spaghetti S located above the wedge 4 is raised and thereby aligned with one another. The separating wedge 4 is arranged in the central axis of the outlet duct 2 and has only a small width, which is a fraction of the duct width. As a result, inclined spaghetti in the shaft should not be broken when the separating wedge 4 swings into place.
The size of the divided amount St can be adjusted as required that the bearing 7 of the separating wedge 4 and its magnet 6 in height according to z. B. is attached to the funnel 1 adjustable by means of screws.
At the outlet of the shaft 2 there is a single or double-wing deflection flap 8, which is actuated by an electromagnet 9 and the respectively divided amount St either on the vibrating chute 10 of a fine flow feed device 18 or in the top one of several collecting trays arranged one below the other and provided with hinged side walls 31 11, 12, 13 directs existing pre-filling device. The opening and closing of these collecting trays 11 to 13, of which the lowest one opens into the weighing pan 14, takes place by means of an associated electromagnet 15, 16, 17.
The fine flow feed device 18 consists essentially of two stepped, electromagnetically operated vibrating troughs 10 and 19 arranged at an acute angle to one another, the latter of which opens into the weighing pan 14.
The vibrating troughs 10 and 19 placed on rubber bearings 23 have the purpose of pulling apart the subsets St that are passed from the dividing device via the flap 8 into the fine flow feed device 18 and of aligning them continuously so that the spaghetti from the pouring edge l9a of the lower vibrating trough 19 in an even sequence the weighing pan 14 will fall. On the steps of both vibrating troughs 10 and 19, run-up tongues 20 effectively prevent the spaghetti from falling over the individual steps in large quantities and thereby tilting. The tongues 20, which are preferably adjustably fastened to a common rail or rod 21 or 22 fastened to the machine frame G, are kept much narrower than the vibrating troughs and are arranged in the central axis thereof.
In order to prevent spaghetti from falling into the weighing pan 14 after the fine flow feed device 18 has been switched off, a retainer 24 is provided at the discharge end 19a of the lower vibrating chute 19, which is actuated simultaneously with the disconnection of the vibrating magnets (not shown) so that it moves the 19a of the channel 19 which is poured out holds back spaghetti that is still lying on the same.
This retainer 24 consists, for example, of a rectangular piece of sponge rubber which is fastened to a lever arm 25, which in turn is connected to an electromagnet 29 via an intermediate shaft 28.
In addition to this fastener 24 at the end of the lower vibrating chute 19, further, for example five identical and also controlled by means of the intermediate shaft 28 fasteners 30 are arranged over the next stages of this vibrating chute 19. These retainers 30 have the task, after the conveyor trough 19 has been switched off, to prevent further conveyance of spaghetti which is caused by the subsequent oscillation of the trough 19. This further conveyance would otherwise have the consequence that on the one hand there would be congestion at the last stop 24 and on the other hand there would be gaps in the flow of the conveyed material in the upper part of the channel 19, thus creating irregularities in the fine flow feed.
The aforementioned arrangement of the retainers 24 and 30 also ensures that the lower vibrating channel 19 no longer needs to be completely switched off when the target weight in the weighing pan 14 is reached, but only needs to be throttled. This has a significant advantage in that the irregular start-up vibrations that otherwise occur when the vibrating chute is switched on again and adversely affect the evenness of the conveying flow are avoided. This advantage is particularly important when the individual pieces of the goods to be weighed make up a relatively large proportion of the total weight of the target quantity.
The feed device is controlled by means of generally known electrical devices, not shown, and proceeds as follows:
It is assumed that the drip pans 11 to 13 are each filled with a partial amount St and the weighing pan 14 is filled with the target weight, which can be carried out by hand when the feed device is put into operation by closing the corresponding contacts described below.
If the balance provided with the present feed device is switched on, the weighing pan 14 opens and empties its contents. The balance beam 34 inclining as a result actuates a contact which triggers a sequential circuit through which the flaps 31 of all the collecting trays 11 to 13 are opened and closed again in sequence and a movement cycle of the dividing device is also effected. In the process, a subset St representing the new pre-fill amount falls from the lowest collecting tray 13 into the weighing pan 14, and the uppermost collecting tray 11, which has meanwhile become empty, is filled again by a subset St. The above sequential switching can be carried out by means of several relays that are matched to one another or by means of a switching shaft that acts on contacts and is equipped with several cam or cam disks.
Simultaneously with the triggering of this sequential circuit, the throttled lower vibrating chute 19 is fully switched on and the retainers 24 and 30 are lifted off the steps, so that a uniform flow of fine material pours into the weighing pan 14. Once the target weight has been reached, another contact on the balance beam 34 throttles the vibrating trough 19 again and pressing the holding devices 24 and 30 onto the associated trough steps. The weighing pan 14 can optionally be opened in a manner known per se, either by self-control or by a packaging machine on which the scale is attached. The processes described above are then repeated in automatic succession.
The switching on and off of the upper vibrating chute 10 is triggered by a sensor 32 which is arranged at the upper end of the lower vibrating chute 19 at one of the tongues 20 and scans the amount of material to be conveyed at this point.
Another sensor 33 is located at the upper end of the upper vibrating chute 10. If there is not enough material to be conveyed at this point, the deflection flap 8 is switched over to conveying to the vibrating chute 10 by means of this sensor 33 and also through this flap 8 when it reaches its end position An additional working cycle of the dividing device is triggered via an electrical contact and in this way a subset St is directed onto the upper vibrating trough 10. However, the circuit is designed in such a way that the pre-filling always has priority, i. H. as long as the uppermost collecting tray 11 is not filled, the deflection flap 8 cannot be switched to the vibrating chute 10.
Experience has shown that the time span between the individual pre-filling circuits is sufficient to be able to bring a sufficient number of partial quantities to the upper vibrating chute and thus to the fine flow feed device.
It should also be emphasized that the pre-fill quantity of the weighing pan 14 is not weighed, but is dosed by the dividing device. By moving the separating wedge 4 and the associated magnet 6 upwards or downwards, this quantity metering can be precisely adjusted so that refilling by means of the fine flow feed device 18 only takes a little time.
