Mounted plow
When plowing, it can happen that irregularities in the soil, for example a raised path or a bump at the end or the beginning of a field, prevent the implements from working at the required depth.
The present invention, which relates to a mounted plow comprising a frame coupled to a towing vehicle by at least three connecting rods, aims to remedy this drawback and, to this end, this plow is characterized according to the invention by the fact that this frame has a device for tilting the age making it possible to modify the angle of attack of the tools.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a general elevation view thereof.
Figs. 2 and 3 are partial views, on a larger scale, of FIG. 1, and illustrate how it works.
Fig. 4 is a partial end view of FIG. 3.
The plow shown comprises a frame 1 mounted by 3 connecting rods 2, 3 and 4 to the rear axle 5 of a tractor. The age 6 carries tools 7 and its front part is rotatably mounted in a bearing 8 so as to allow the overturning of the working body. The bearing is itself integral with a support comprising two vertical uprights 9 mounted on the frame by a transverse axis 10 so as to allow the age to pivot vertically. The number 11 represents a safety device removably locking the frame age, and 12 is a wheel on which the rear part of the plow can rest.
The frame comprises a horizontal cross member 14, a vertical upright 15 and a transverse axis 16, the ends of which have the points of attachment of the Reason 2 and 3 rods. The upper end 17 of the upright 15 is pivoted about an axis 18 mounted between the two branches 19 and 20 of a U-shaped part, the upper part of which has a flange 21 for fixing the third connecting rod 4. The end 17 of the upright 15 oscillates freely between the two stops 22 and 23 welded on either side of the U-piece.
The branches 19 and 20 each have a longitudinal slot 24 in which slides a pin 25 intended to engage in a housing 26 of the upright 15 to keep it in contact with the stop 23. The pin carries a loop 27 in which s' engages a finger 28 integral with a control lever 29 articulated at 30 on the U-shaped part.
In its normal working position, shown in solid lines in fig. 1, the end 17 of the upright rests against the stop 23. The upright then makes, at the height of the axis 18, an elbow with the U-shaped part (see fig. 2). This position is taken automatically by the upright when the frame is subjected to the sole weight of the plow, that is to say when the tools are not working. To keep it in this position during plowing, it is locked by means of the pin 25 by lowering the control lever 29.
To increase the angle of attack of the tools during work, the lever 29 is raised, the finger 28 of which pops the pin 25, thus freeing the amount which, under the action of the forces applied to these tools, comes to s' press against the stop 22. The plow then takes the position shown in phantom lines in FIG.
1, and the U-shaped piece is stored in the extension of the upright (see fig. 3).
This device makes it possible, by operating the lever 29, to quickly and easily increase the angle of attack of the tools. It has the advantage of being safe in operation and simple and robust construction.
