Device for towing a baby carriage by a cycle. The present invention relates to a device for towing a baby carriage by a cycle, which is characterized in that it comprises a first part intended to to be fixed to the pusher of the car, a second part intended to to be attached to the rear of the towing cycle, and means of connection between these two parts, arranged so to </ B> produce, in the towing position, the lifting of the pusher and of the two adjacent wheels of the car, so that only the wheels of the most distant pair of the pusher touch the ground.
The appended drawing represents, by by way of example, an embodiment of the device according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view, showing the device suitable for a child's car.
Fig. 2 and 3 are detail views, to larger scale.
The device shown in the drawing com takes two parts. The first, 1, is attached, as we will see later, to the side arms 2, 3 of the push-button of the baby carriage 4. The second part consists of a drawbar 5, mounted to pivot on part 1, as will also be indicated below, and fixed by its end 6 to < / B> the rear of the towing cycle, by all appropriate means. The part 1 consists of a tubular frame of rectangular shape, the two long sides of which 7, 8 are placed against the arms 2, 3 </ B > when the device is in the position of use.
On the sides 7, 8 of the frame in question are mounted, sliding, two clamping holes 9, 10 which can be rc 9 apart or brought closer to each other to allow adaptation of the device to children's cars whose arms 2, 3 of the pusher are differently spaced. These clamping members each comprise a sliding crossbar 11 , at each of its ends, on the sides 7, 8 </ B > the tubular frame, and on which a clamping tab 12 pivots.
Each clamping member further comprises a second cross member 13 carrying a threaded rod passing through the tab 12 and cooperating with a nut with fins 14. It is easily understood that, when one of the arms 2, 3 of the pusher is located between the tubular frame of the part 1 and the end of the tab of tightening 12, the device can be immobilized at, at the desired right of the length of the arms 2, 3, by turning the nut to </ B > fins 14 in the direction of tightening.
The drawbar 5 is mounted oscillating on the side 8 of the tubular frame of the first part mentioned above, thanks to a cylindrical portion 15 which it presents and which is engaged on the median part of the side 8. Collars 16, 17 maintain the cylindrical portion 15 < / B> axially; stationary on the 8 side of the frame.
The device shown further comprises connection means between the parts 1 and 5, to produce the immobilization of the drawbar to with respect to to the rectangular frame of part 1, in a position chosen at will in relation to this frame. These means include a 18 lever mounted to oscillate at 19 on a boss 20 of the drawbar 5. This 18 lever has a series of holes 21 in the region of its free end, which can engage between two tabs 22, 23 solid on the side 7 of the frame of part 1. The tabs 22,
23 have perforations that can be brought to to coincide with one or the other of the holes 21 when the inclination of the drawbar is made < B> 5 with respect to to part 1. A lock 24 to spring 25 allows '' immobilize the drawbar 5 in relation to to part 1 while simultaneously passing through through one of the holes 21 and the holes in parts 22 and 23 ,.
The device described operates as follows: The end 6 being appropriately fixed to the rear part of a cycle (by means to < / B> ball joint or to universal joint, for example), we adapt part 1 to the desired height on arms 2, 3 of the pusher 4. This done, the pusher is slightly raised, so that the wheels of the car adjacent to this pusher are slightly raised above the ground and the lever is brought up. 18 in the position for which it is engaged between the tabs 22-23, then the lever in question is immobilized in this position, by means of the lock 24.
From that moment, the angular position of the drawbar 5 with respect to the frame 7, 8 being fixed, the car remains in the position to which it was brought, for which only the wheels of the pair furthest from the pusher touch the ground, which is necessary for the child's car to hold properly on the road.
It is understood that, in variants, part 1 could be carried out in a different way from what has been described and that, in particular, it could be provided not to be removable, but to remains on the pusher, and that part 5 and the means of immobilization of this part 5 , compared to to part 1, could be different- from what has been shown in the drawing.
In the example shown in the drawing, the drawbar, under the action of its own weight, when it is disconnected from the cycle and the aforesaid connecting means are inoperative, extends substantially vertically between the arms of the pusher, this which reduces the size of the stroller to its usual value. We could of course provide another mode of linking the sound of the tiller to the part 1.
