Photographic shutter Arrangements on photographic cameras have long been known in which a releasable coupling is provided between the time setting element of the shutter and the aperture setting element of the aperture device. Such a coupling allows the shutter speed and aperture to be adjusted together in such a way that the exposure of the photosensitive material resulting from both values remains the same.
With regard to the limited range of the time scale, that is to say the limited number of exposure times automatically controlled by the shutter gear, the range of the time and aperture pairings associated with a specific exposure case is determined. In the case of unfavorable exposure conditions, however, shutter speeds result which are longer than the longest of the provided, self-actively controlled exposure times, which is generally <B> 1 </B> seconds.
Arrangements are therefore proposed where the time setting ring, in addition to the times automatically controlled by the locking mechanism, is provided with a scale with longer, not automatically controlled times, which continues to be referred to as an overtime scale. This makes it possible to read all the exposure times associated with the possible aperture settings, including exposure times that are not actively controlled, for a specific exposure case, i.e. for the relative position between the time setting member and aperture setting member corresponding to a certain exposure value.
If you want to use one of the times that are not automatically controlled with such an arrangement of the kind that has become known, it is necessary to cancel the coupling between time and diaphragm in order to set the diaphragm setting member to the desired diaphragm on the one hand and the time setting member to B on the other -Exposure to adjust. Due to this necessary decoupling, however, in the known arrangement the original exposure value setting, that is to say the relative position between the time and aperture setting member corresponding to the exposure conditions, is lost.
In addition, the longer exposure time associated with the diaphragm can no longer be read after the coupling is released. The exposure time scale has therefore often been attached to a scale ring together with the overtime scale, which is detachably coupled to the actual time setting ring.
When adjusting the time scale ring to overtime, the rings disengage so that the time setting ring and thus the locking mechanism remain in a certain setting, usually in the B-exposure case.
The present invention relates to arrangements of this type, that is to say to photographic shutters with a time setting element which sets the shutter mechanism and which is coupled via releasable coupling means to an actuator carrying the exposure time scale and to a stationary cover element. It is the task of the inven tion to create such a shape and accommodation for the releasable coupling that, despite the coupling device, an internally and externally self-contained type of closure is possible,
so that contamination or dirt deposits within the closure are made impossible. In addition, the external appearance of the lock should not be disturbed by the installation of the coupling device. Another object of the invention is to create a compact design of the coupling device, so that it can also be used with compact locks of modern design. Finally, the coupling means should also be very simple in shape and thus allow economical series production.
According to the invention, the coupling and uncoupling means are accommodated in a space located behind the cover member and in direct communication with the interior of the lock, and are closed off from the outside.
Further details of the invention are explained in more detail in the following description with reference to some Ausfüh approximately examples. The figures show: FIG. 1 a camera with a closure according to the invention in a top view, FIG. 2 a variant of the scale arrangement from FIG. 1, FIG. 3 B> and 4 show a first type of coupling device, FIGS. 5 and 6 show the arrangement according to FIGS. 3 and 4 in a different operating position and FIGS. 7 and 8 show two other embodiments of the subject matter of the invention.
The shutter 2 with the lens <B> 3 is located on the front of the camera body <B> 1 </B>. The time scale ring <B> 5 </B> and the aperture setting ring <B> are located on the shutter housing 6 attached.
For the purpose of setting, the time scale <B> 7 </B> and the aperture scale <B> 8 </B> are located on the rings. The reading of the time scale <B> 7 </B> and aperture scale <B> 8 </B> takes place by means of a mark fixed to the housing <B> 9. </B> The time scale ring <B> 5 </B> and the aperture setting ring <B> 6 </B> are coupled to one another in a manner known per se, for example by a spring <B> 10 </B> which is attached to the aperture setting ring <B> 6 </B> and engages in corresponding notches of the time scale ring <B> 5 </B> formed by handle notches. Couplings of this type are known.
Of course, any other type of coupling between the time scale ring and the aperture setting ring can be used, for example the one in Switzerland. Patent specification no. <B> 330155 </B> shown.
For setting or reading the relative clutch position set by the clutch spring between the time scale ring <B> 5 </B> and the aperture setting ring <B> 6 </B>, the exposure value scale attached to the time scale ring <B> 5 </B> serves as shown B> 11, </B> for the reading of which the clutch spring <B> 10 </B> is also designed as a mark.
In order to enable a correct time and diaphragm coupling, the time scale and diaphragm scale must be divided logarithmically and linearly, that is to say in such a way that one scale division corresponds to a change in the associated size by the same factor. According to the illustration, the factor between two adjacent values is the same for both the time scale and the aperture scale.
The time scale <B> 7 </B> includes not only the times automatically controlled by the shutter's gearing according to the appropriate setting (automatic shutter time scale), but also a number of longer exposure times to which the shutter gearing can no longer be set can (overtime scale). With the closures customary today, the scale of the automatically controlled closure times generally includes time values from <B> 1 </B> sec to <B> C </B> to 1/500 sec.
According to the illustration, the scale in the direction of longer exposure times is extended beyond the longest automatically controlled time value el sec up to the value <B> 250 </B> sec. In the drawing, for the sake of simplicity, the times that are automatically controlled in today's customary manner are applied with the omission of the fraction symbol, for example instead of 1/125 the specification <B> 125. </B> Around the designations of the overscale of these designations to be able to distinguish, it can either be identified by the addition of the symbol for sec ("), as shown in the illustration, or, as has been customary for some time,
the values on the overtime scale should be in a different color than those of normal times, e.g. green instead of black.
The time scale ring <B> 5 </B> is now connected to the actual time setting ring 12 via a releasable coupling. The arrangement is such that with any setting of the time scale ring to one of the non-automatically controlled times, the coupling of parts 5 and 12 is released and the exposure case usually referred to as B exposure remains set .
This B exposure is provided in today's closures as an additional position on the time scale ring, in general either next to the longest or the shortest automatically adjustable time value. The B-exposure case is therefore set if one of the times that is not automatically controlled is opposite the reading mark <B> 9 </B>. In other words, when the time scale member is set to any value on the over time scale, the time setting member is always set to B exposure.
Only with such a design of the closure can the advantages of a time scale be fully exploited without the need for a cumbersome operation of the closure which gives rise to errors.
According to the illustration, a light value of 4 is set, for example. This light value requires, for example, an exposure time of <B> 1 </B> sec with an aperture of 4 or an exposure time of <B> 30 </B> seconds with an aperture 22. It goes without saying that any pairing in between is also possible. The aforementioned design, namely that the shutter gear is set to B when one of the values on the overtime scale is set, results in an extremely simple setting and operation of the camera.
The operator first sets the shutter clutch to the correct light value. Then he selects the aperture value that appears most suitable to him according to the recording conditions and sets the rings <B> 5 </B> and <B> 6 </B>, which are coupled to one another by the coupling <B> 10 </B>, to this aperture value .
By means of the mark <B> 9 </B>, the associated, automatic exposure time set by the clutch can now be read off, and if the overtime scale is used, the exposure duration associated with the selected aperture value can be read, with the shutter being set to eB at the same time in the latter case . All that is necessary now is to press the shutter release and hold it for as long as the time indicated on the oversize scale requires. A timer, for example, can be used as an aid.
In contrast to this simple handling, it was necessary with previously known closures with oversized scale, after reading the exposure time belonging to a certain aperture value, to release the coupling between the time and aperture adjusters and set the decoupled aperture ring to the desired aperture,
while the locking time ring had to be moved to the B position. Due to the uncoupling of the timing and aperture elements, the comparison of the associated time and aperture pairs was lost, and you had to remember the previously read time up to the recording, which meant increased stress and a source of error.
In contrast to this, with the described arrangement with a detachable time scale ring, the time associated with the selected aperture can be read even during the recording, and the comparison of the associated time and aperture pairings is retained.
FIG. 2 schematically shows a variant of the scale designation shown in FIG. 1 on the time scale ring 5. The scale row 13 of the automatically controlled times is unchanged. Daaeaen is applied over the overtime scale 14, the indication B, where the two lines <B> 15 </B> indicate the -Entire overtime scale B range covering.
In the following, the details of the implementation of the explained idea required to order the locking mechanism are described in more detail. In the case of lens shutters of the type shown, the set times are generally controlled using an inhibitor which delays the sequence of the shutter sectors to varying degrees.
These various delays are set by means of the time setting ring 12, which is coupled to the time scale ring <B> 5 </B> and whose staircase-like steps <B> 16 </B> are connected to a pin <B> 17 </B> (calculator pin) and also work together over the tabs 18 (anchor plate tabs) with the known members of the escapement (not shown), as can be seen from FIG. 3.
The time setting ring 12 also has a control cam 19 which cooperates with the tab 20 (time tab) of the locking mechanism in order to actuate the device generally referred to as a B lock. This has the task of keeping the locking sectors open as long as the trigger remains pressed. The camera pusher 21, which is connected to the shutter release device in a known manner (not shown), serves as the trigger.
To achieve the advantages of the subject matter of the invention mentioned in the introduction, the coupling <B> C </B> between the time setting ring 12 and the time scale ring <B> 5 </B> is in accordance with the invention behind the cover plate <B> 23 < / B> the lying room and locked from the outside.
According to FIGS. 3 and 4, the time setting ring 12 is rotatably guided on a cylindrical centering attachment 22 on the lock housing 2 and through a stationary front plate, 23 of the lock and with the aid of a Union nut 24 secured in the axial position. The time scale ring <B> 5 </B> has a cylindrical recess <B> 25 </B> corresponding to the outer diameter of the ring 12, with which it sits on the time setting ring 12 - and is guided here.
Of course, separate guidance of the parts could just as well be provided or the arrangement could be such that the time scale ring is guided on the outer circumference of the lock housing 2 and in turn for guidance the time setting ring 12 is used.
For coupling the separated Rinae <B> 5 </B> and 12 with respect to rotary motion, the time setting ring 12 is now located behind the front panel <B> 23 </B>, a resilient coupling tongue <B> 26 </ B> provided, for example punched out and <B> bent </B>, which engages in a coupling detent <B> 27 </B> on the inner circumference of the time scale ring <B> 5 </B>.
As a result of the latching action of the tongue, it is achieved that when the operator actuates the scale ring 5, the time setting ring 12 is also rotated and the closure is thus set to the desired exposure time.
The stationary front plate 23 has a radially extending stop surface 28 which protrudes into the movement path of the coupling tongue 26 rotatable with the time setting ring 12:, t and releases it from the coupling notch <B> 27 </B> after reaching the stop position.
The assignment of the coupling surface to the coupling tongue has now been made so that the decoupling of the time setting ring becomes effective at the transition between automatic and non-automatic exposure times.
This is expediently done in such a way that the stop position is reached when the B-exposure case is set, so that when the ring <B> 5 </B> continues to move out of the B-setting in the direction of overtime, the ring 12 is then decoupled and remains in the B position while the time scale ring <B> 5 </B> can be moved freely. In Fig. 3, the position of the parts is entered in the B position.
The coupling tongue <B> 26 </B> is still in engagement with the coupling detent <B> 27, </B> but is already on the stationary connection surface <B> 28 </B> of the front plate <B> 23 </ B > on. If now the time scale ring <B> 5 '</B> ans in the position according to FIGS. 3 and 4 is rotated counterclockwise to an overtime, it acts as shown in FIG . <B> 5 </B> and <B> 6 </B> show the stop surface <B> 28 </B> the uncoupling of the rings <B> 5 </B> and 12.
The coupling tongue <B> 26 </B> is pressed into the recess <B> 29 </B> of the front plate <B> 23 </B> and here through the ring surface <B> 30 </B> of the Time scale ring <B> 5 </B> held in the uncoupled position. When the time scale ring <B> 5 </B> is turned back from overtime to the B position, the surface <B> 30 </B> releases the coupling tongue <B> 26 </B>, so that the same under the action of its own springiness can jump back into the coupling notch <B> 27 </B>.
In the area of automatic exposure times. The time scale ring <B> 5 </B> is then again coupled with the time setting ring 12 in a moving manner, and both greats are turned together.
In the design of the coupling device just described, the coupling tongue with the time setting ring consists of one piece and is formed with the same in the punching and bending process. However, to realize the subject matter of the invention, a special coupling tongue 26a can also be provided which is attached to the time setting ring 12, e.g. B. is riveted. Such a design is shown in FIG. 7. The work and mode of operation of this design is the same as in the first embodiment according to FIGS. 3 to 6
The first two types of coupling are designed in such a way that the coupling tongue springs radially, that is, in the direction of the camera lens axis. One can of course also design the coupling device according to FIG. 8 to be axially resilient. The coupling tongue <B> 26b </B> here forms a radial lap of the time setting ring 12, which is produced in the punching process and provided with a coupling lug or the like in the pressing process.
This coupling boss engages in a correspondingly shaped coupling detent <B> 27b </B> on an end face of the time scale ring <B> 5 </B>. As soon as the coupling tongue <B> 26b </B> comes into contact with the stationary stop <B> 29 </B> of the front plate <B> 23 </B>, which in this case acts as a protruding pin <B> 28b </B> or the like would have to be formed, it is moved out of the coupling notch <B> 27b </B>, </B> as in the other cases, but re-engages in the coupling notch when the time scale ring is turned back under the action of its own springiness,
so that the rings <B> 5 </B> and 12 move together over the range of the automatic exposure times. In this design, too, it is expedient to hold the uncoupled tongue <B> 26b </B> through a stationary recess in the uncoupled position, i.e. in the B position, which recess is the recess, <B> 29 < / B> C from the first type. But it would just as well be possible to load the time setting ring 12 with a slight spring force, which tries to make this ring,
to turn counterclockwise and to keep it uncoupled in the B position. In both cases, this prevents the time setting ring 12 from slipping when the time scale ring <B> 5 </B> moves back from overtime to normal times. the friction between the parts <B> 26b </B> and <B> 5 </B> is not carried along and is adjusted in an undesirable manner.
The embodiments described above show that the coupling and uncoupling means are located in a space behind the cover member and adjoining the interior of the closure 2 and are covered by the cover plate 23 B> are completely closed from the outside. This makes it possible to keep the coupling connection as short as possible and to make the parts that are very close together very simple.
The coupling device also forms a self-contained and externally closed unit so that external influences, e.g. damage due to improper handling, are completely excluded. A closed design of the closure can also be maintained despite the use of the coupling device. Furthermore, no impurities or dust deposits can penetrate into the lock housing and cause undesired malfunctions here.
Due to the construction of the coupling device, which is closed to the outside, the external appearance of the lock is not disturbed, so that the round shape, which is particularly noted in modern locks, is not disturbed. Furthermore, the coupling device requires practically no additional parts and can therefore be designed in a very compact design, so that they can also be used with compact locks of modern design. The couplings are very simple in shape and allow economical series production.
As already mentioned, the coupling tongue can easily be produced with the time setting ring in the punching and pressing process, so that, as a rule, there is no need to use an additional Kupp-Jun-Steil. The separate execution of the time scale ring and time setting ring in the type in accordance with the invention also offers further advantages.
It makes it possible to make the time setting ring and the coupling tongue very thin, so that it can be manufactured from a high-quality material, for example spring steel sheet, with the required accuracy without reworking, while the time scale ring is made from a simpler one for turning well-suited material is produced.
It should also be pointed out that the uncoupling of the rings <B> 5 </B> and 12 requires a certain amount of force on the part of the operator, because the inherent springiness of the coupling spring has to be overcome. As a result, the operator is made aware of P <B> a </B> that when the time scale ring is turned, the range of automatically controlled times is exceeded and the setting changes to the range of times that are not actively controlled. Finally, it should also be mentioned that the types of construction described are only exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention.
The subject matter of the invention could of course also have a different design. For example, the coupling tongue could be provided on the time scale ring and the coupling detent on the time setting ring. The detachable connection between the time scale ring and the time setting ring can also be used with such closures in which a coupling between the time scale ring and the diaphragm setting ring is omitted.
