Fig. 1 zeigt schematisch in Aufsicht eine Kamera.
Photographic camera The present invention relates to a photographic camera with a time setting element which can be adjusted in a first range for the optional setting of the shutter to exposure times automatically controlled by the shutter mechanism or to B-exposure, and with an aperture setting element carrying the aperture scale, which can be coupled to the time setting element by means of a releasable coupling.
Photographic cameras with a coupling between the time setting member and the aperture setting member have long been known. Such a coupling allows the setting elements for shutter speed and aperture to be adjusted together in such a way that the exposure of the photosensitive material resulting from both values remains constant. With regard to the limited area of the time scale, i.e. the limited number of exposure times automatically controlled by the shutter gear,
the range of the time and aperture pairs belonging to a certain exposure case is determined. In the case of unfavorable exposure conditions, however, there are shutter speeds which are longer than the longest exposure time available, which is generally 1 sec.
If you want to use one of the non-automatic, long times with such a camera of the well-known type, it is not necessary to cancel the coupling between time and aperture, on the one hand to set the aperture setting member to the desired aperture, but the time setting member to B-exposure in order to obtain an exposure time of any length using this B exposure.
Due to this necessary decoupling, however, in the known camera arrangement, on the one hand, the original exposure value setting, that is to say the relative position between the time and aperture setting member corresponding to the exposure conditions, is lost. Furthermore, after disengaging the clutch, the longer exposure time associated with the diaphragm can no longer be read.
The present invention is intended to provide a remedy and allow easy reading and adjustment for long, so not automatically controlled exposure times th. According to the invention, the time setting element is also designed to be adjustable in a second area beyond the first area, and the means provided on the time setting element for setting the B exposure extend at least over the entire second area,
and an additional scale with exposure times that are not automatically controlled by the shutter mechanism (on a time scale) is assigned to the second area of the time setting member so that the B exposure is always set when the time setting member is adjusted along the second area on the shutter.
The subject matter of the invention will now be explained in detail using an exemplary embodiment. Fig. 1 shows a schematic top view of a camera. Fig. 2 shows a variant of the scale designation, and Figs. 3 and 4 show details of the closure structure.
The shutter 2 with the lens 3 is located on the front of the camera body 1. The time setting ring 5 and the aperture setting ring 6 are attached to the shutter housing. For the purpose of setting, the time scale 7 and aperture scale B are on the rings.
The reading of the time scale 7 and aperture scale 8 takes place by means of a mark 9 fixed to the housing. Time setting ring 5 and aperture setting ring 6 are coupled to one another in a manner known per se, for example by a spring 10 which is attached to the aperture setting ring 6 and engages in corresponding notches on the time setting ring 5 intervenes. Couplings of this type are known.
Of course, any other type of coupling between the time setting element and the aperture setting element can also be used, for example those in Switzerland. U.S. Patent No. 330155.
To set or read the relative clutch position set by the clutch spring between the time setting ring 5 and the aperture setting ring, the exposure value scale 11 attached to the time setting ring 5 is used, which is also read by the clutch spring 10 forming a mark.
In order to enable a correct time and aperture coupling, the time scale and aperture scale must be divided logarithmically linearly, i.e. in such a way that each scale division corresponds to a change in the relevant size by the same factor. According to the illustration, the factor between two divisions corresponds to a factor of 2 in both the time scale and the aperture scale.
The time scale 7 includes not only the times automatically controlled by the gear mechanism of the shutter according to the appropriate setting (automatic shutter time scale), but also a number of longer exposure times to which the shutter gear can no longer be set (overtime scale). With the locks that are customary today, the scale of the automatically controlled locking times generally includes time values from 1 sec to 1/100 sec.
According to the illustration, the scale is lengthened in the direction of longer exposure times beyond the longest automatically controlled time value of 1 second to a value of 250 seconds. In the drawing, for the sake of simplicity, the times that are automatically controlled in the manner customary today are shown with the omission of the fractional symbol, i.e. for example 125 instead of i / 125.
In order to be able to distinguish the designations of the overtime scale from these designations, it can either be marked as shown by the addition of the symbol for sec ("), or it is also possible, as has become common for some time, the values of the overtime scale designed in a different color than that of normal times, for example green instead of black.
According to the invention, the shutter gear is now designed so that with any setting of the time setting ring to one of the times that are not automatically controlled, the exposure case, usually referred to as B exposure, is set.
With today's closures, this B-exposure is provided as an additional position on the time setting ring, in general either next to the longest or the shortest automatically adjustable time value. In contrast, the camera according to the invention not only has a single B-position, but a B-area. The B-exposure case is therefore set when one of the times that is not automatically controlled is opposite the reading mark 9.
In other words, when the time setting element is set to any value on the overtime scale, the shutter gear is set to B-exposure.
Only through the design according to the invention can the advantages of an overtime scale be fully exploited, without the need for a cumbersome operation of the lock that gives rise to errors. According to the illustration, a light value of 4 is set, for example. This light value thus requires, for example, an exposure time of 1 sec for an aperture of 4 or 30 seconds for an aperture 22 or any of the pairings in between.
The design according to the invention, namely that the locking mechanism is set to B when setting any of the values on the overtime scale, results in an extremely simple setting and operation of the camera.
The operator first sets the aperture stop clutch to the correct light value, then selects the aperture value that appears most suitable to him according to the exposure conditions and sets the rings 5 and 6 coupled to one another by the clutch 10 to this aperture value.
By means of the mark 9, the associated, self-acting exposure time set by the clutch can now be read from the exposure duration associated with the selected aperture value when using the over-time scale, with the shutter being set to B at the same time in the latter case. It is now only necessary to press the release button for the duration of the time read off on the oversize scale for exposure.
In contrast, with the previously known overscale shutters, after reading the exposure time belonging to a certain aperture value, it was necessary to release the clutch and set the uncoupled aperture ring to the desired aperture, while the shutter speed ring was moved to the B position had to.
Due to the decoupling of the time and aperture elements, the comparison of the associated time and aperture pairs was lost, and the previously read time exposure value had to be kept in mind until the picture was taken. which is an increased strain and a source of error.
In contrast to this, with the camera according to the present invention, the time associated with the respective selected aperture can be read even during the recording, and the comparison of the associated time and aperture pairings is retained. Fig. 2 shows schematically a variant of the scale shown in Fig. 1 designation on the time setting ring. The scale row 15 of the automatically controlled times is unchanged.
On the other hand, the indication B is applied above the scale of the scale designation 16 with the times that are not automatically controlled, with the two lines 17 indicating the B range that covers the entire time scale. FIGS. 3 and 4 show details of the arrangement of the locking mechanism required for carrying out the inventive concept. In the case of lens shutters of the type shown, the control of the set times is generally carried out using an escapement.
which delays the process of the locking sectors to varying degrees. The setting of these different sizes delay is done by a cam 21 coupled to the time setting ring 5, the step-like paragraphs 24 of which work together via the pin 25 (calculator pin), furthermore via the pin 26 (anchor plate lips) with the known elements of the escapement, not shown .
The cam disk also contains the so-called B exposure case, in which a further; Position above the pin 27 (time lever flap) into the locking mechanism in order to actuate the device generally known as the B-lock. This has the task of keeping the locking sectors open as long as the release button remains pressed.
To carry out the task according to the invention, the curve parts 28, 29 and 30 used for setting the B case are now extended to a circumferential angle which corresponds to the angle covered by the overtime scale on the time setting ring. In this way, the time setting ring can be adjusted together with the curve ring within this angle, the exposure case B always remains set.
In order to enable the angular range required to carry out the present invention for the rotation of the time setting ring and cam ring, a special arrangement is provided. The cure venring is namely designed as a separate component 21 in the outer time setting ring 5, which is centered on the Fas solution tube 42 of the closure. The time setting ring 5 itself is separated from the cam ring and is mounted on the outer housing 43. The cure venring is held on the flank 44 of the socket tube 42 by two projections 45 of the time setting ring 5.
Furthermore, the cam ring has an arm 48 which engages in a groove 50 of the time setting ring and thus ensures the common, play-free rotation of the time setting ring and cam disk. The arm 48 generally carries a projection 52 which engages in notches in the cover plate so as to enable the time setting ring to lock into place in the individual setting values of the time setting scale.
If necessary, the projections 45 of the time setting ring can also be provided with centering indentations which engage in likewise centering parts of the cam ring, so that the adjusting ring and cam ring are centered with one another. In this case, both can be centered together either in the socket or in the housing.
The separate combination of time setting ring and cam ring offers considerable advantages, since it enables the cam ring to be made very thin so that it can be produced with the required accuracy without the need for subsequent reworking by a punching process. The advantages of this two-part design are described in the German utility model no. 1690618 .
In order to draw attention to the fact that when you turn the time setting ring from the area of the automatically controlled times to the area of non-automatically controlled times, the resilient detent shown in FIG. 4 can be used.
According to the illustration, a curved spring 60 is provided on the time setting ring, which comes into contact with the stop pin 61 during the transition from the automatic time range to the over time range and thus produces a resistance that can be felt, though not too difficult to overcome. For example, instead of a resilient detent, a fixed stop can also be provided, which must first be disengaged by actuating a lever or another link, for example.
before the time setting ring can be turned any further.
