Grinding or lapping disks Diamond grinding or lapping disks in which the grinding or lapping coating is provided to be flexible with respect to the grinding or lapping pressure are known.
The disc according to the invention differs from such discs, in which the resilience of coil springs, resilient wire brackets or rubber interlayers between the ring having the lining and the disc body is sought, the disc according to the invention in that a membrane disc resilient in the axial direction supports the lining ring body connects to the hub body.
Apart from the fact that the undesirable signs of fatigue of the previously known resilient intermediate members can be eliminated, with a suitable design of exemplary embodiments of the invention, the membrane disk can achieve the advantage that, due to the size of the diameter of a clampable with the disk hub, the spring action of the membrane and thus the elasticity of the grinding or lapping disk can be adapted to the desired working pressure in a very simple manner on the tensioning disk coming to rest on the membrane.
Another advantage of the invention is that the formation of a combination disc is made possible in which both a diamond coating is provided on the circumference and the end face of the disc.
In the drawing, three execution examples of a diamond grinding wheel according to the invention are shown, namely show: Fig. 1 to 3 one and 'the same cup wheel with end face diamond coating with different clamping disks attached in axial section, Fig. 4 a disc with on its circumference seen coating in cross section and Fig. 5 is a combined disc with two Dia mantbellagen.
According to Fig. 1, an annular body 1 carries a grinding or lapping coating la on its obein end face. A clamping ring 2 is screwed tightly to its lower end face with the aid of screws 2a, the outer edge zone of a spring steel membrane 5 being firmly clamped between the ring body 1 and the clamping ring 2.
With the aid of a screw nut 10, a clamping disk 3 and a hub body 4 are clamped tightly by means of the mem brane 5 on the threaded end of a grinding spindle 11 provided with a collar 11a. But it is not the inner edge zone of the spring steel membrane 5, but rather a more peripherally located, annular center zone of the same through the lower annular support surface 3b of a downwardly protruding annular shoulder of the clamping disc body 3 stretched down, while the bottom of the membrane inner edge on the upper flange surface of the Na benkörpers 4 rests.
The upper side of the inner edge of the membrane, however, lies free in the air gap between the clamping disc body 3 and the above-mentioned upper flange ring surface of the hub body 4 .. So that the radius rays of the spring steel membrane 5 are bent to slightly convex curved lines upwards.
The value of the deformation forces indicated by the force arrows Pm and PI can be changed somewhat by tightening the nut to a greater or lesser extent, but must in any case be set so large that a non-positive torque transmission effect from the grinding spindle 11 to the ring body 1 is guaranteed.
With regard to the axial pressure forces Pa acting on the coating la during grinding or lapping, however, the fastening ring body shown in FIG. 1 shows a certain elastic resilience. Under the influence of the one-sided grinding pressure Pa, the ring body 1 tries to position itself obliquely by trying to lift the diaphragm from the support surface 3b of the tensioning disk 3 on the right of the drawing, but on the left of the drawing, the support surface 3b prevents this movement.
In this case, the membrane zone 5 'as a spring zone gives the desired elasticity.
The spring characteristic depends to a large extent on the radius of the contact surface 3b of the disk 3. In order to be able to achieve a stiffening of the membrane in a simple manner in this regard, according to FIG. 1, the disk 3 also has an upwardly projecting annular shoulder with a support ring surface 3a of a larger radius.
If, according to FIG. 2, the clamping disk 3 is clamped in the opposite position so that it clamps down the membrane 5 in a further outer annular zone with the outer support ring surface 3a, then the outer zone 5 ", which is decisive for the membrane elasticity, has a smaller value the situation of FIG. 1.
The farther away from the inner wall of the ring body 1 the support of the tensioning disk 3 formed by the bearing surfaces 3a, 3b on the membrane disk 5, the more elastic the ring body fastening becomes.
If the hub disk 4 is exchanged for the tension disk 3 according to FIG. 3, the Federwir effect of the membrane 5 is canceled at all, and the elastic disk becomes a rigid disk.
According to the embodiment of FIG. 4, an annular body 6 is provided on its circumferential surface with a grinding or lapping covering 6a. This ring body 6 has an inwardly directed flange ring 60, the underside of which holds spherical shell-shaped recesses 61 and 62 for balls 81, 82 arranged on two concentric circular rings.
The balls 81, 82, on the other hand, rest in spherical shell-shaped recesses 71, 72 on the top of a flange ring 70 of a hub body 7, which are also arranged on concentric circles.
With its outer peripheral edge lies in an inner recess 63 on the top of the ring body 6, the spring steel membrane 5 with radial play, with one or more axially protruding driver pins 64 from the disc body 6, which engage in Ra dialschlitze 54 on the membrane edge, a positive torque transmission from the Membrane 5 is secured on the ring body 6.
The inner edge of the spring steel membrane 5 is! depending on the more or less tight tightening by clamping nut 9 on the thread 79 of the hub body 7 pressed down, the opposite, annular contact zone 50 forces a force-locking transmission of the torque from the hub body 7 to be clamped on a grinding spindle on the membrane 5.
If a radial pressure Pr of a certain size is now exerted on the circumferential coating 6a of the ring body 6 during grinding or lapping, the ring body 6 is able to move into an eccentric position with respect to the membrane and the hub, because that is due to the above-mentioned game the membrane 5 in the recess 63 is made possible.
But that also causes an axial displacement of the ring 6 in the area of the annular gap R upwards against the resilient restoring forces of the membrane 5, because the balls 81, 82 are moved from their normal position in the deepest zones of the ball socket recesses 61, 71, 62, 72 . But when the eccentric radial compressive force Pr decreases again, the elastic forces of the membrane 5 drive the ring 6 back into the shown concentric center position.
FIG. 5 shows an annular body 12 which is provided both with an end face coating la, as in FIG. 1, and with a circumferential coating 6a, as in FIG. 4.
Apart from the fact that in this FIG. 5 the hub body 7 is shown fastened on the spindle 11 with the aid of a clamping nut 10, and that the locking recesses for the balls 8 are shown as conical recesses instead of spherical shell recesses, the embodiment according to FIG. 5 completely to that of Figure 4.
Axial forces Pa on the abrasive coating la are able to move the grinding or lapping ring body 12 axially in the corre sponding direction or to lift one side, the corresponding deformation of the spring steel membrane 5 elastic restoring forces it generates.
The membranes 5 are preferably made of spring steel sheet and take over in all Ausfüh approximately the transmission of the torque from the hub part 4 or 7 to the ring body 1 or 6 or 12 with the grinding or lapping coating, by everywhere the outer edge of the membrane with the ring body and the inner edge of the membrane is connected to the hub body.
