Skill game The present invention relates to a skill game comprising a cup on the inner surface of which a disc is intended to roll during a tilting movement imparted to the cup, characterized by. that the cup, which is mounted by means of a universal joint on a fixed support, is connected by a mechanism to a hand lever which allows it to be tilted in all directions in order to influence the route of the disc, and that it is overhung by an arm which activates a totalizer each time it is struck by the disc.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of this embodiment; figs. 2 and 3 are partial sections along two vertical planes perpendicular to each other, and FIG. 4 is a horizontal section along the line 1V-IV of FIG. 3.
The embodiment shown comprises a base 1 carrying the frame 2 of a cage 3 made mainly of transparent material. The frame 2 supports the frame 4 of a platform 5 provided with a central hole. A cup 6 with a conical (or spherical) bottom 7 comprises a central cylindrical neck 8 mounted with greasy friction in the central bore of an inner disc 9 of a cardan joint, the outer disc 10 of which is fixed to the edge of the hole central 6 of the platform 5 by means of screws 11 (fig. 4). Said seal comprises in. in addition to the intermediate disc 12 as well as two pairs of pivots 13 and 14.
The axis of the cut can therefore be tilted from all sides. A mechanism described in detail below, which includes a hand lever 15, allows the cup to be tilted in all directions.
One of the walls of the cage is crossed by a rail 16 by means of which the player can throw a disc 17 to make it roll on the bottom 7 of the cup. The rail 16 can be tilted on the cut 6 during the launch of the disc, then put back in a position in which it does not interfere. the movements of the cup and the disc.
Cup 6 is overhung by an arm 18 attached to a pin 19 which actuates a totalizer 20 each time the arm is struck by the disk 17. When the latter stops rolling, it slides on the bottom 7, passes through the neck 8 and is brought by an inclined pipe 21 (fig. 2) to a bucket 22 provided in front of the base 1.
The aforementioned mechanism comprises a shaft 23 journaled in two bearings 24 welded to plates 25 which are fixed to the frame 4 by means of screws 26. Two stop rings 27 prevent any longitudinal movement of this shaft, the axis of which is located in a vertical plane passing through the center of the universal joint which includes the discs 9, 10, 12. Inside a. housing 1a provided on the front face of the base 1, a yoke 28 is attached to the front end of the shaft 2.3. The hand lever 15 is mounted on a transverse axis 29 with which the yoke 28 is provided.
A connecting rod 30 is connected by ball joints 31, 32 to a lower extension 15a of the hand lever, on the one hand, and to an arm 33, on the other hand. The two arms diametrically opposed to each other, of a crank 34 wedged on the shaft 23, are connected to the interior said 9 of the universal joint by two connecting rods 35. The arm 33 and a part 36 similar to the crank 34 are wedged on a pin 37 journalled in two bearings 38 welded to plates fixed to the frame 4.
The members 33, 36, 37 constitute a lever, and the two arms of the part 36 which form part of it are connected to the intermediate disc 12 by two connecting rods 40. The upper ends 35a of the connecting rods 35 are spherical and slide on spherical surfaces 41 (fig. 3 and 4) of the inner disc 9; the upper ends, not shown, of the connecting rods 40 are also spherical and slide on the spherical surfaces 42 (FIG. 4) of the intermediate disc 12.
The movements imparted by the player to the hand lever 15 are generally composite movements. Each pivot to the left or to the right (fig. 3) is communicated to the shaft 23 and transmitted to the section 6 by the members 34, 35, 9. Each pivot forwards or backwards (fig. 3, or if you want to the left or to the right in hg. 2) is transmitted to section 6 by members 30, 33, 37, 36, 40, 12, 14, 9.
The cup 6 is thus connected desmodromically to the hand lever 15. The inclination that the player can give to this lever and to the cup is limited according to the size of the hole 43 of the housing 1a.
The embodiment shown and described can be modified and supplemented from various points of view. Thus, for example, a locking device can be provided controlled by a clockwork movement, to block the hand lever 15 after a certain period of play.
In addition, the launching rail 16 can be located completely inside the cage 3; the disc 17 would then be brought from the neck 8 of the cup 6 to this rail by an appropriate device.
The totalizer could be fixed to the platform 5 and be actuated by means of an electric switch fixed to the edge of the cup and comprising the arm 18 intended to be struck by the disc.
