Description

Set of elements for the construction of walls The present invention relates to a set of elements for the construction of walls, comprising panels and assembly members. It is characterized in that each panel comprises uprights placed along its vertical edges and each having a longitudinal groove in which a tongue of an assembly element is housed.

The accompanying drawing illustrates by way of example some ways of assembling panels of the set of elements which constitutes the object of the invention.

Fig. 1 relates to the most common case of the assembly of two successive panels in the same plane, to form a wall.

Each panel of the set of elements which will be described consists, as can be seen in the drawing, of two thin trays, here plywood trays 1 and 2, kept at a distance from each other by uprights. 3, for example made of fir wood. These amounts, like the trays, will all be similar to each other and they are placed so as to come practically flush with the vertical edges of the trays. The panel could present a. profile limited by straight dihedrals. For aesthetic reasons the angles are slightly lowered, as indicated in 4.

There are therefore two uprights in pairs of plates, arranged along their two respective opposite vertical edges.

The set of elements also includes assembly members, also the uprights 3 are longitudinally grooved in 5, so as to be able to receive a tongue of such an assembly member 6, which is of the same width as said grooves and of a dimension such that it penetrates the bottom of the latter or at least of the portion of corresponding width. In the example shown, in fact, the grooves are deeper than necessary by the dimensions. of the tongue 6, the surplus being on the other hand of lesser width, opposing the introduction of the tongue.

This arrangement, which is not essential, has the advantage, once the panels are assembled, of leaving a vacuum at 7, allowing piping or electrical conductors to be placed therein.

Finally, it should be noted that the space remaining between the plates 1 and 2 will preferably be filled with an appropriate heat-insulating material.

Fig. 2 shows how the panels just described lend themselves to an assembly of walls forming between them, in plan, a T.

The two panels 8 and 9, constituting the wall against which is placed a wall arranged at right angles, will be bevelled at 10, that is to say knocked down at 450 over half their thickness.

As for the panel 11, coming to be placed perpendicular to the previous ones, it will be cut in this way on both sides.

The assembly member used here is a part 12 formed of three tabs arranged so as to form a T.

The grooves of the uprights can correspond exactly to the penetration of the tongue of the organ or on the contrary, and as shown, with deeper grooves, with two widths, reserving shoulders 13 between the wider entrance and the bottom less wide. Fig. 3 shows a cross assembly corresponding to two walls intersecting at a right angle.

It is made by cutting the edges of the four panels similar to what has been shown for panel 11 of FIG. 2.

In this case, an assembly member 14 will be used, provided with four tabs arranged in the shape of a cross.

To assemble two panels at a right angle, according to the example in fig. 4, the inside corner 15 of the panels will be knocked down to 45 ,, to half thickness and slightly trimmed the opposite part 16 of each panel. The assembly member 17 will have the special shape emerging from the drawing and whose profile has two tabs forming a right angel, at the top of which is opposed a mass forming a head, intended to fill the void which otherwise would remain in the outside,

   between the two panels.

It would be possible to avoid cutting down the portions 16, but this would strangely result in the profile of 17 making this part too fragile.

The preceding examples show that, with all identical panels, which can be retouched before delivery or on site with regard to the angels to be slaughtered, and a fitting of assembly members comprising four different profiles, all problems posed by the arrangements shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 can be solved without the least difficulty.

By adding, for example, door panels and window panels, any desired construction can be achieved easily and economically.

11 is finally obvious that one could provide solid panels, for example of the thickness of the uprights, to which they would be assembled or with which they would merge in the sense that their extreme edges, grooved, would constitute the uprights.
