The two devices and the aforementioned device are actuated so that the various machining operations of the part to be manufactured (see fig. 6 and 7: turning of reduced diameter sections, drilling of holes <I> c and d, < / I> milling of the undercut e and teeth f of the Breguet teeth) are carried out successively, fully automatically, and without any manipulation of the part between its raw state and its completed state.
The movements of the moving parts of the turning and milling machines and of the transporting device, as well as the feed of the bar and its locking, are controlled by two camshafts 11 and 12 driven by a motor shaft 13 by the intermediary of two worm gears 14 and 15 (fig. 3).
The bar-turning apparatus comprises a doll 16 driven by an axial reciprocating movement controlled by a mechanism 17. This mechanism comprises in particular a lever 17a acting on a rocker 17b and a cam 17c wedged on the shaft. 11 and controlling a non-visible finger integral with an arm of the lever 17a. The bar to be turned B is dragged in continuous rotation by a motor arranged in the base 10 and whose shaft is connected to the drive pulley 18 of the bar B by the belt 18a. It is axially blocked in the tailstock 16, while it is in work, by an invisible clamp actuated by a lever 19 controlled by a cam 20 wedged on the shaft 11.
The chisels 21 of the turning machine are carried by carriages 22 (FIG. 3) driven by levers 23 in contact with blades 24. Under the action of cams 17c, 20 and 24, bar B is subjected to an intermittent forward movement during which. it is low-cut by the various chisels 21.
The machine also comprises, in the extension of the headstock 16, a device P which drills the holes <I> c and d </I> during the external turning of the part. This device comprises a doll 25, locked axially, in which turns a spindle 26 carrying a two-stage wick 80. This wick is driven in rotation by a motor housed in the base 10 and connected to the spindle 26 by a transmission to belt 28. The sleeve 26a of this spindle is driven by an axial reciprocating movement controlled by the shaft 11 via the lever 29 and the cam 31 wedged on this shaft.
The conveyor device T is responsible for transporting the part, after bar turning, from the bar turning device to the milling device. This device, described in detail in Swiss patent No. 314124 is shown in fig. 3. It comprises, on the one hand, a transport arm 34, articulated at 35, carrying a clamp 36 at its free end and, on the other hand, an arm. 37, articulated in 3 8 and provided, at its free end, with a hook 39. This hook is intended to hold the jaws of the gripper 36 during the unsticking of the part, then to abandon them to the action. of a spring, not shown, so that they grip the part at the precise moment when it is detached from the bar B.
The movements of the arms 34 and 37 are regulated by two cams 40 and 41 on which slide the fingers 42a and 43a of two arms 42 and 43 connected, the first by means of a gear 44, the second rigidly to the arms. 34 and 37.
When the workpiece has been gripped by the gripper 36, the arm 34 swings from left to right (Fig. 3) and brings the workpiece in the axis of the milling device.
This milling apparatus comprises a headstock 45 whose spindle 47 is provided (fig. 5) with a clamp 47a for the workpiece and a tailstock 46 comprising a sleeve 46n, movable axially, in which a driven spindle 81 rotates. rotated by a motor 81 a. This <B> 81 </B> brooch carries an 82 bur.
When the part arrives, transported by the arm 34, in the axis of the dolls 45 and 46, the sleeve 46n moves axially from right to left and an annular push 83, in which the cutter 82 rotates and which bears against a spring 83a housed in the head of the sleeve 46a, engages it in the clamp 47a.
The axial movement of the sleeve 46a is commanded by a cam 49 (fig. 1 and 2) wedged on the shaft 12 and by a lever 50 actuated by this cam. When, under the action of the pusher 83, the part is introduced into the clamp 47a, it compresses, before being clamped in this clamp, an ejection spring 45a disposed inside the latter.
Once the part gripped by the gripper 47a, the oven rake 46a continues to move from right to left by driving the spindle 81, and the milling cutter 82 makes the clearance e (fig. 7) required for cutting the Breguet teeth.
This release operated, the cutting of this toothing is carried out by a second cutter 53, carried by a spindle 54, perpendicular to the axis of the dolls 45 and 46, to which is printed a back and forth movement parallel to the axis of the spindle 47 while the latter describes an intermittent angular movement. These two movements are synchronized so that the cutter 53 attacks the workpiece in successive angular positions corresponding to the eight teeth to be cut.
The spindle 54 and its drive motor 55 are mounted on a carriage 85 and the reciprocating movement that the cutter 53 is called upon to describe is communicated to this carriage by a cam 56 wedged on the shaft 12 and by a lever 57.
The intermittent angular movement of the spindle 47 is generated by a mechanism 52 shown in detail in FIG. 4. This mechanism comprises a freewheel coupling 52a, a connecting rod 60, a lever 61 and a cam 64. The driven element 59 of this coupling is rotatably secured to the spindle 47 and its driving element 58 is articulated at the end. of the connecting rod 60. The second end of the latter is itself articulated on the lever 61, pivoted at 62, which carries a roller 63 rolling on the cam 64. This cam, wedged on the shaft 12, has a divided periphery in two sectors 64a and 64b extending respectively over arcs of approximately 300 and 60. The sector 64a is provided with eight evenly distributed teeth while the sector 64b is smooth.
A ratchet 65, having eight teeth 66 and rotatably integral with the element 59, is subjected to the action of a jumper 67 articulated at 68, with a view to precisely fixing the successive positions of the workpiece spawning. This jumper is formed of two arms, one carrying a roller 67a and the other subjected to the action of a spring plunger 70 applying the roller 67a against the periphery of the ratchet 65.
When the roller 63 rolls on the sector 64a between two spokes angularly limiting a tooth, the spindle 47 first turns by one eighth of a turn, then marks a stopping time which begins when the roller reaches the highest point of tooth and ends the instant it makes contact with the next tooth. During this stop, the cutter 83 performs a back and forth movement during which it cuts a tooth of the Breguet teeth.
This process continues until all eight teeth of this toothing are cut. When the eighth tooth is finished, the roller 63 arrives at the sector 64b. During the period of time which then elapses while it is rolling over this sector, the clamp 47a opens, the finished part is ejected into the hopper 51 by the spring 45a, which relaxes, and a new one. low-cut part is placed in this clamp.
In a variant, the holes c and d could be drilled not by means of a two-stage drill bit, but by means of two tools brought into operation successively, for example by a turret-revolver.
