Description
Roadside marking body The roadside marking body according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a base to be rigidly anchored in the ground and a hollow body made of elastically flexible material placed on it.
The whole thing forms an arrangement similar to a battlement, which has the advantage that it cannot damage a vehicle to the same extent when it hits a vehicle as is the case with solid battlement.
The upper part and the lower part can be connected to one another in such a way that the upper part is torn away from the base under the action of an impacting vehicle.
The upper part alone, but advantageously also the base, can for example consist of a PVC compound or a plastic with similar properties.
An exemplary embodiment of a marking body according to the invention is shown in section in the drawing.
1 with a PVC hollow body anchored in the ground by means of a flange 11 is designated, the side walls of which are provided with depressions 12 on the upper edge.
The upper part 2, formed as a hollow body and made of flexible material, for example PVC material, is placed on this base 1 and has projections 22 on the inside for anchoring in the recesses 12 of the base 1 on the lower edge.
The head plate 23 of the upper part 2 contains a hole 21 through which a marker rod (in the case of snowdrifts) or the rod of a signal board can be inserted. The connection between the upper part 2 and the base 1 is a bit more solid by a bandage 3, but care should be taken to ensure that the connection is only so strong that the upper part is torn from the base when a vehicle impacts.
