Device for re-flanging ballpoint pen tips When writing with ballpoint pens, the writing pressure pushes the writing ball in its seat sideways and backwards, so that it becomes loose over time. As a result, too much ink paste can pass between the writing ball and the flanged edge of the Hülsenvor part which surrounds it, so that the ballpoint pen smears.
There is therefore interest in creating a handy, in its function a pencil sharpener corresponding device for re-crimping ballpoint pen tips.
According to the invention, this device comprises a carrier with an opening which is conical in its basic shape and from which, regularly distributed, three cylindrical jacket zones protrude inward, the axes of which form surface lines of a straight cone.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown in Fig. 1 in plan view (Fig. 1) and in Fig. 2 in diametrical section along the line II-11 of Fig. 1, a ballpoint pen tip being inserted in Fig. 2.
A carrier in the form of an annular disk 1, the peripheral surface of which is denoted by 10 and, for example, can be ribbed or knurled, or a different, easily manageable carrier, contains in the center an opening 11 which is conical in its basic shape and is evenly distributed from the wall , Three cylindrical jacket zones 21, 22, 23 protrude inward, the axes of which form surface lines of a common straight cone.
The cylinder jacket zones 21, 22, 23 can be surfaces of insert bodies 31, 32, 33 made of hard material, for example steel, which are either inserted into corresponding recesses in the carrier 1 or embedded or pressed into the material of the carrier, for example a plastic body are. But it would also be possible to work this cylinder jacket out of the full material of the carrier, which in this case would have to consist of a suitably resistant material.
The mode of operation of the device on a ballpoint pen tip drawn in dotted lines in FIG. 1 is easy to see. The flared edge of the lead case 41 protruding from the ball 40 as a result of the long use of the writing tip 4 is flanged back onto the ball 40 by the three cylinder jacket zones 21, 22, 23 when the ballpoint pen tip is pressed under pressure between these zones and at the same time around its Center axis is rotated. This again results in a usable pen tip of the ball pen.
