Process for ventilating and drying hay, emd, grain and similar field products in the hive and device for carrying out the process
The subject of the present patent is a method for ventilating and drying hay, emd, grain and similar field products in the hive by means of air blown through a duct and through grates. The patent also relates to an apparatus for carrying out the method. Processes of this type are known per se. But they lack any possibility of control during operation. In particular, these methods lack any means for checking the temperatures in the hive and means for ventilating parts of the bulk material that are overheated.
As a result of these essential deficiencies, the vitamin content @ the nutritional value of the dry goods are reduced, but above all inflammation of the dry goods occurs more often, with the consequence of a total destruction of the things brought in to be dried and the buildings.
According to the method according to the invention, the deficiencies found are eliminated in a simple manner in that all the air that is used for ventilation and drying is passed through openings provided in the duct, which can be closed by shut-off devices, to the individual in the floor above the floor with the help of a fan Channel outside the same lying sections of the material to be dried is fed, the air supply to the individual height sections of the material to be dried being made through shafts which are freely arranged in the bulk material with the help of at several points on the stick.
ets and stoppers that can be pulled out of the bulk material are formed, and that the blower is inserted into the bulk material at several points by a number of. Temperature sensors are switched on and off automatically.
The device according to the invention for carrying out the method is characterized in that on one end face of a channel a lock and a frame with a blower electric motor unit that can be swiveled out of the channel are provided on the long sides of the channel Shut-off devices are attached and that freely adjustable, pull-up stoppers are arranged on the ceiling of the channel and on the grate of the stick so that they can be pulled up as further bulk material is brought in.
The drawing shows an example of an embodiment of the device according to the invention for carrying out the method. In connection with this, the method according to the invention is also explained, for example
Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the device.
Fig. 2 shows a horizontal section through the device.
Fig. 3 shows on a larger scale the United closing door of the channel with the blower electric motor unit arranged behind it.
FIG. 4 shows a section along line IV-IV of FIG. 1 in a perspective illustration.
Fig. 5 shows the temperature sensor used.
The device according to the invention consists of a duct 1, on the end face of which a blower 3 driven by an electric motor 2 is arranged. The fan 3, together with the motor 2, is connected to a frame 4 which is fitted into the end wall of the duct 1 and which can be folded out about an axis 4a, so that the motor-fan unit can be folded out of the area of the duct 1 at any time, to make the latter accessible. The frame 4 carries a wire mesh 5 on the outside to protect it from the blades of the fan 3.
At the end of the channel 1, a locking door 6 hinged to the frame 4 is provided, but which remains open when the device is in operation.
On the inner longitudinal sides of the channel 1, flaps 7 (Fig. 1, left) or slides 8 (Fig. 1, right) are arranged, by actuating the individual sections of the poured to be dried on the floor above the channel l outside the same Good fresh air is supplied. On the. In the same way, the individual aforementioned sections are shut off from the air supply.
In order to supply the air to be dried (Yrllt in every height section required for ventilating and drying), plugs 11 are set up freely at several locations on the ceiling 10 of the duct 1 and on the grids 9 (FIG. 4) and The stoppers 11 are provided with a handle 12, by which they are pulled out when a certain dump height is reached, in order to now serve to pour over a higher layer can be carried out as often as desired, up to the greatest dump height of the material to be dried.
Under the raised plug 11, a natural shaft 13 remains in the bulk material, through which the air flowing from the channel 1 into the bulk material penetrates into all parts of the latter.
To control the temperature of any part of the material to be ventilated, temperature sensors 14 are used which consist of a bimetallic element 16 inserted into a thin tube 15. The temperature sensors 14 are connected by lines 17 to a relay connected to the electric motor 2, not shown in the drawing, which responds to a certain temperature in the bulk material and automatically stops the blower electric motor unit 3, 2 and promotes air for as long as l ## t until the required minimum temperature is reached in the bulk material to be ventilated.
Before starting to fill the stick with bulk material, the plugs 11 are placed at several suitable points on the ceiling 10 of the channel 1 or the grids 9. The bulk material is then brought in and shredded. To start up the device, but before starting the fan 3, when the closure door 6 is open and the fan electric motor unit 2, 3 is pivoted out of the channel 1, the channel 1 is committed and those flaps 7 or slider 8 opened, in front of which the #ber the channel 1 is located outside of the same lying to be dried.
The motor 2 with the fan 3 is then swiveled into the channel 1. The locking door 6 remains open during operation.
The material to be dried is brought up to the desired height in the stick with the appropriate pulling up of the plugs 11 and the formation of natural shafts 13. The electric motor 2 is then switched on and the drying process thus started. By using the plug 11. With little electrical power expenditure, even with. very high bulk material, perfect ventilation and drying achieved.
In order to prevent the risk of fire from a material that is brought in with too high a moisture content and to avoid a breakdown of vitamins and nutritional value and to increase the digestibility of the bulk material to be dried, the temperature sensors 14 are introduced into the bulk material at points in question and the ventilation is automatically regulated carried out.
