Device for cleaning workpieces The invention relates to a device for cleaning workpieces, in particular raw castings, in a shakable container having a granular cleaning material. The novelty of the invention is that the channel-like container with its longitudinal axis inclined to the horizontal is held in such a way and the shaker drive engages it transversely to its longitudinal axis so that the workpieces in the granular cleaning material move from one end to the other will. It is advantageous if the.
Container with. such frequency and amplitude can be shaken and the level of the cleaning material has such a height that the workpieces are moved along an approximately helical path.
Such a device enables continuous operation on the one hand, since the workpieces are moved from one end to the other of the container, which is preferably formed as a tube. The fact that the workpieces execute a circular or elliptical movement projected onto a plane within the level of cleaning material means that they can be completely cleaned in a much shorter container than if they were to pass through this without complete circulation.
In the drawings, the object of the invention is shown schematically with reference to an embodiment example. 1 shows a side view, partly in a schematic section, of a device according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows a plan view of FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a schematic cross section through the container and FIG. 4 shows a schematic diagram of the workpiece circulation in the tank.
The container 1 designed as a tube is arranged so that its axis from the filling end 2 to the outlet end 3 of the cleaned workpieces 5 is inclined to the horizontal. It rests on compression springs 4 which attack it approximately radially and are supported with their second end on the foundation or the like. Eyes 6 are arranged on the container outer wall, on which the vibrator drive engages. This consists of a driven shaft 7 which, as can be seen from FIG. 3, is mounted eccentrically in the eyes 6 so that the container is rotated back and forth by a certain angle when the shaft is driven. The same shaking movement can also be achieved by means of a Len kerantriebes or other devices.
It has proven to be advantageous in this case to choose a relatively low frequency (approximately 600 to 630) for a relatively large amplitude. At the outlet end 3 of the workpieces 5, the cleaning agent is conveyed to the apex of the container; this can be done by a drum 8, which can be put into slow rotation. It has in its nern scoops of such training that it conveys the cleaning material from bottom to top as it rotates and pours it into a back channel 9 there.
This return trough 9 is inclined in the opposite direction to the horizontal, like the longitudinal axis of the container 1, so that the cleaning material conveyed up by the drum 8 is conveyed back by the shaking movements against the filling end of the container 1. If necessary, slots 10 can be provided in the course of this channel so that the plaster material can flow back into the container 1 over the entire course of this, - that in the. Near the outlet end, 3. more cleaning material flows into the container than at the filling end. This may be necessary if the cleaning material is such that it moves faster in the container than the workpieces to be cleaned.
In continuation of the loading container 1 there is a sieve through which the cleaning material can fall into the interior of the drum 8 and via which the workpieces 5 can be moved to the outlet end 3. A suction device 11, which is only shown schematically in FIG. 1, serves to suck off the abrasion, in particular the molding sand or the like, and to remove dust from the system. The plaster material is preferably granular; it can be made of minerals or metal. The size of the grain is selected here according to the intended use.
The degree of filling of the container 1 with cleaning material depends on the size of the workpieces to be cleaned; it should be chosen so that the workpieces can be moved essentially within the cleaning material level.
If the container 1 is filled with cleaning material at a sufficiently high level, then the workpieces can be entered at 2 in the container. By means of the described vibrating drive, the container is set in a reciprocating rotary motion which the springs 4 counteract. This creates a shaking process that moves in a self-contained, roughly renal curve. The cleaning material is circulated so that the work pieces. '5, as indicated in FIG. 4, can be set in a helical movement.
As a result, cleaning material and workpieces wander on this helical path towards the outlet end 3, whereby the cleaning material is usually moved faster than the workpieces 5. To prevent the level of the cleaning material from decreasing, the container can be fed via the drum 8 and the channel ' 9, 10 cleaning material are continuously fed over the entire length of loading container. The dust that develops in the process is sucked off by a suction device 11.
