Printing paste for the production of ice colors in stuff printing To produce ice colors in stuff printing using diazoamino compounds, thickened caustic alkali solutions of the coupling components used in ice color production and alkali salts of diazoamino compounds are used, which contain solubilizing groups in the remainder that is not involved in dye formation , on the fiber - @ edruekt,
and the dye is then developed by exposure to acid vapor. This acid treatment has a number of disadvantages, and therefore many attempts have been made to bring about the development of ice colors solely by steaming with neutral steam, especially since it is also possible for me to produce ice colors in addition to vat dyes. So were z.
B. more recently achieved very good technical effects by reducing the amount of lye present in the printing paste or by adding acid-releasing agents to the printing paste (cf. the Swiss Patent No. 310797, 313361. and 322597). The ideal case. however, lies in the dye combinations, which can be developed in the neutral steam without any addition of acid-releasing or alkali-binding agents.
The solution to this problem should therefore mainly lie in the use of such diazoamino compounds, which split easily and completely in neutral steam, but are completely stable in the cold and thus ensure a good shelf life of the printing pastes. The cleavage of diazoamino compounds depends very strongly on the basicity of the base on the one hand and that of the stabilizer on the other.
Any diazotized aromatic amine possesses. accordingly its Substituent.en has a very different coupling energy and, depending on whether it is more or less basic, forms a diazoamino compound that is more easily or more difficult to cleave. Something similar applies. for the amine used as a stabilizer. Both must therefore be carefully coordinated if one is to achieve quantitative splitting by means of neutral steam alone. The ideal case would be to provide the appropriate stabilizer for each base, which would cause considerable technical: additional costs.
It has now been observed that diazotized dihalo-alkyl- or di-halo-'alkoxy-anilines and 2-alkylamino-5- or -4-sulfo-benzoic acids are ideal diazo-amino compounds in the above sense.
You give me. The ice color coupling components are excellent stable printing pastes for stuff printing, which, developed in neutral steam, deliver very deep and generous prints on cellulose fibers as well as very good fixation on rayon.
The subject of the present patent is a permanent printing paste for the production of ice colors in fabric printing by steaming with neutral steam, characterized by a content of a diazoamino compound from a dianotated dihalo-alkyl or dihalo-alkoxy-aniline and a 2- Alkylamino-5- or -4-sulfo-benzoic acid and on an ice color coupling component.
Despite the easy cleavage in neutral steam, the printing pastes have a very good shelf life. The prints also suffer no loss of color depth when printing together with vat dyes. Carried-in alkali and reducing agents from vat printing pastes therefore have no disadvantageous influence on the development of the dyes.
In this context, it is also important that the new printing pastes in multi-color printing in addition to vat colors do not decrease in strength due to the rollers connected between them, which is a special technical effect compared to known combinations.
In addition to the very good typographical behavior, the dyes obtainable with the new printing pastes have, in addition to general good properties, excellent lightfastness.
Example 1 1 mol of dianotated 1-amino-2-methyl-4,5-dichlorobenzene is allowed to mix with dilute soda solution in a weakly soda-alkaline solution of 1.1 mol of 2-ethylamino-5- Slowly run in sulfobenzoic acid so that the solution always reacts in a soda-alkaline manner.
After stirring for 4 hours, the coupling is complete and the diazoamino compound can be salted out in crystalline form with sodium chloride.
60 g of a mixture of equivalent parts of the sodium salt of the diazoamino compound so prepared and 1- (2 ', 3'-oxynaphthoylamino) -2-ethoxybenzene are mixed with 50 cm3 of alcohol or another suitable solvent, 15-20 g of sodium hydroxide solution 38 Be dissolved in approximately 300 cm3 of water and, after stirring in 500 g of thickening, made up to 1000 g with water.
This printing paste can be used for printing in the usual way. After drying, use neutral steam for around. Steamed for 5-10 minutes, whereby the paraffin development takes place. After the boiling soap and the usual removal of the thickening, it is rinsed and dried. You get. a clear, very lightfast scarlet. The printing paste has a very good shelf life. The color depth of the prints on rayon is. like those on cotton. When combined with vat dyes, the printing paste shows no decrease in color depth when using squeeze rollers.
Example If, according to Example 1, the sodium salt of the diazoamino compound prepared from dianotated 1-amino 2-methyl-4-bromo-5-chlorobenzene and the stabilizer specified in Example 1 is obtained with 1- (T- Oxy earbazol - 3'- ea.rboylamino) - 4 - ehlorbenzol a permanent printing paste that gives a full, very light brown.
Example 3 A printing paste prepared according to the information in the preceding examples from the sodium salt of the diazoamino compound from dianotated 1-amino-3-methyl-4,6-dichlorobenzene with the stabilizer specified in Example 1 and 1-Aeetoaeetylamino-4-chloro-2,5-dimethoxy-benzene produces a neutrally developed, very light, greenish yellow.
Example If the sodium salt of the diazoamine compound of Example 1 is replaced by the sodium salt of the diazoamine compound made of dianotated 1-amino-4-methyl-2,5-dichloro-benzene and 2-isopropylamino- 5-sulfo-benzoic acid as a stabilizer is obtained.
using 1- (2 ', 3'-oxynaphthoylamino) - 2 - methoxybenzöl as a coupling component and about. 10-20 g caustic soda 38 B6 per kg is a permanent printing paste that gives a strong, genuine red through neutral steaming, the depth of which is the same on cotton as that on rayon.
Example 5 1 mol of dianotated 1-amino-2-methoxy-4,5-dichlorobenzene is allowed to run into an alkaline soda solution of 1.1 mol of the disodium salt of 2-methylamino-5-sulfo-benzoic acid and Salts out the diazoamino compound which forms it after its complete formation with Koehsalz.
60 g of a mixture of equivalent parts of the sodium salt of the di-azoamino compound prepared in this way and 1- (2 ', 3'-oxynaplit.hoylamino) -2-methoxy-benzene are mixed with about 50 cm3 of glycol monoether or another suitable solvent and 10 to 20 g of 38 Be sodium hydroxide solution dissolved in approximately 300 cm3 of hot water and, after stirring in 500 g of thickener, made up to 1000 g with water.
With this printing paste, with neutral steaming, a full bluish red of excellent lightfastness is obtained. The depth of color on rayon is the same in its strength as the ones on cotton. Example 6 The sodium salt of the diazoamino compound from dianotated 1-amino-2-methoxy-4-bromo-5-chlorobenzene and 2-ethylamino-5-sidofobenzoic acid as a stabilizer results in an equivalent mixture with 1 -Benzoylacetylamino- 4-benzoylamino-2,
5-dimethoxybenzene is a stable printing paste according to the instructions in Example 5, which when steamed in neutral steam gives a clear, very lightfast yellow. The color strength on cotton and rayon is equally deep.
