Dispositif de fixation d'une prothèse dentaire dans la bouche
Le présent brevet a pour objet un dispositif de fixation d'une prothèse dentaire dans la bouche, comprenant un élément mâle et un élément femelle destinés à s'engager l'un dans l'autre, dont l'un appartient à la prothèse et dont l'autre est fixé à demeure dans la bouche, l'élément mâle comprenant une rotule formée de deux parties hémisphériques mobiles l'une par rapport à l'autre et qu'un ressort tend à écarter l'une de l'autre, de façon que cette rotule force dans le logement de l'élément femelle qui la reçoit, cette rotule étant portée par une douille de fixation extérieure par rapport à laquelle elle peut se déplacer à l'encontre d'un ressort de rappel.
Ce dispositif est caractérisé par le fait que ladite douille extérieure est ancrée dans la matière de la prothèse à l'entrée d'une cavité borgne pratiquée dans celle-ci, ledit élément mâle prenant appui contre le fond de cette cavité par l'intermédiaire dudit ressort de rappel.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention.

Le dispositif représenté se distingue du dispositif illustré par les fig. 1 à 3 du brevet principal par la façon dont l'élément mâle est assujetti à la prothèse et par les moyens utilisés pour limiter le déplacement relatif des deux parties hémisphériques de la rotule. I1 n'a été décrit ci-dessous que ce qui a trait à ces modifications.
Le manchon 7 de l'élément mâle est monté à frottement doux dans l'alésage d'une douille 15. Celle-oi est vissée dans un écrou 2, constituant la douille extérieure, ancré par des ailettes 2b dans la matière de la prothèse 1, à l'entrée d'une cavité borgne 17 pratiquée par moulage dans celle-ci.
La longueur de cette cavité 17 est déterminée de manière que lorsque la douille 15 est bloquée sur l'écrou 16, le téton 12 repose sur le fond 1 7a sans comprimer ou en comprimant très légèrement le ressort 1 1 (fig. 1).
Une rondelle 18 ajustée sur une portée de diamètre réduit 6c de la tige 6 et fendue afin de permettre sa mise en place (fig. 3), prend appui contre un épaulement 9b du manchon 9.
Elle sert de butée au manchon 7 lorsque la rotule 3 n'est pas engagée dans le logement 4 de la pièce 5 (fig. 2).
La fig. 4 montre le dispositif à l'état comprimé par une force fi appliquée à la prothèse.
Device for fixing a dental prosthesis in the mouth
The present patent relates to a device for fixing a dental prosthesis in the mouth, comprising a male element and a female element intended to engage one in the other, one of which belongs to the prosthesis and of which the other is permanently fixed in the mouth, the male element comprising a ball formed by two hemispherical parts movable relative to each other and that a spring tends to move away from one another, so that this ball joint forces into the housing of the female element which receives it, this ball joint being carried by an external fixing sleeve relative to which it can move against a return spring.
This device is characterized by the fact that said outer sleeve is anchored in the material of the prosthesis at the entrance of a blind cavity made therein, said male element bearing against the bottom of this cavity by means of said spring.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.

The device shown differs from the device illustrated by FIGS. 1 to 3 of the main patent by the way in which the male element is secured to the prosthesis and by the means used to limit the relative displacement of the two hemispherical parts of the patella. Only what relates to these modifications has been described below.
The sleeve 7 of the male element is mounted with gentle friction in the bore of a sleeve 15. The latter is screwed into a nut 2, constituting the outer sleeve, anchored by fins 2b in the material of the prosthesis 1 , at the entrance of a blind cavity 17 formed by molding therein.
The length of this cavity 17 is determined so that when the sleeve 15 is blocked on the nut 16, the stud 12 rests on the bottom 1 7a without compressing or by very slightly compressing the spring 1 1 (Fig. 1).
A washer 18 fitted over a surface of reduced diameter 6c of the rod 6 and split in order to allow its installation (fig. 3), bears against a shoulder 9b of the sleeve 9.
It serves as a stop for the sleeve 7 when the ball 3 is not engaged in the housing 4 of the part 5 (fig. 2).
Fig. 4 shows the device in the compressed state by a force fi applied to the prosthesis.
