La bobine 48 tire la tige de commande 36 vers le haut (fig. 1) et l'organe de commande 35 permet à l'huile sous pression livrée par la pompe 41 de passer par la conduite 33 du côté gauche du piston du cylindre 10, de sorte que maintenant le cylindre 10 se déplace vers la gauche de la fig. 1 en entramant la ma chine 1, le piston 14 étant maintenu immo bile par la pince 18 ;
Device for producing the working feed along a track of a machine used for the maintenance of this track This The invention relates to a positive dis for producing the working advance along a railway track of a machine used for the maintenance of this track. This machine can be, for example, a screen machine, a shoulder stripping machine, etc.
In known machines of this type, the working advance is carried out using a winch. The winch is attached to the machine and is driven by it. The free end of the cable is attached to the track, for example to a rail or to a sleeper, at a certain distance in front of the machine, and the cable is wound on the winch drum to perform the work sting of the machine. When the cable is wound up, it is necessary to unwind the cable again for a new working advance and to fix it at a more advanced point of the railway track.
Such a device therefore does not make it possible to carry out continuous maintenance of the track; on the contrary, this maintenance must be carried out at intervals which depend on the length of the cable and the speed of advance. Motor means mounted on the machine itself have also already been used to carry out the work advance. In this case, however, the tensile force depends on the adhesion between the carrying wheels of the machine and the rails, ie the weight of the machine and the condition of the rails. It often happens therefore that the drive wheels of the machine slip on the rails, so that the working advance is not regular.
It has already been proposed, in order to move vehicles on steep slopes, to provide grippers which can alternately advance empty along the rails of the railway or along chains or the like, and then be brought into engagement with the rails or said members, in order to couple with them the traction means mounted on the machine and producing the working advance of the latter.
The device according to the invention is characterized in that the two hydraulic traction means corresponding to each rail are interconnected in such a way that, during the traction stroke of one of the means, the pressurized fluid passes from the latter towards the other traction means to simultaneously produce the empty advance of the corresponding clamp along the corresponding rail.
Thanks to this device, a continuous advance of the machine is obtained in a simple and safe way. The appended drawing represents, by way of example and schematically, an embodiment of the device according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is a top plan view of the device and of the front part of the machine, for example a screen. Fig. 2 is a side view corresponding to FIG. 1, partially in section. Fig. 3 shows, on a larger scale, one of the clamps of the device at the end of an advance interval.
The machine 1, of which only the anterior end is shown schematically in the drawing, rests by its carrying wheels 2 on the rails 3 and 4 of the railway track. It has a front cross member 5 in the form of U to which are fixed, at a certain distance from each other, the suspension cylinders 6. In these are mounted in an adjustable manner rods 7 which can be immobilized. in cylinders 6 at two different levels by means of dowels 8.
At the lower end of each of the rods 7 is fixed a bracket 9 on which there is a hydraulic cylinder 10, respectively 11, able to rotate in a vertical plane about an axis 12. A chain 13 fixed to each of the cylinders 10 and 11 and to the cross member 5 maintains the cylinders 10 and 11 in the correct position with respect to the railway track.
When the machine 1 goes to the site, the cylinders 10 and 11 are brought into the position drawn in phantom in fig. 2 and are maintained in this position by means not shown, while the rods 7 are lifted with the consoles 9 so as to be high enough above the track while the machine 1 goes to the site. The two cylinders 10 and 11 can be interconnected by spacers, not shown, so as to be able to pivot together about the axes 12.
In each of the cylinders 10 and 11 slides a piston 14, respectively 15, of which the piston rod 16, respectively 17, protrudes out of the cylinder 10, respectively 11, in the direction of advance of the machine 1, that is - ie to the left of FIG. 1. At the front end of each of the piston rods 16 and 17 is mounted a clamp 18, respectively 19, with a stop 53, respectively 65.
Each of these clamps forms an articulated parallelogram. The bar 20 of each clamp is mounted by means of a journal 21 so as to be able to tilt on the corresponding piston rod 16, respectively 17, to allow the clamp in the released state to follow the rail also in a curve of the railway.
To the bar 20, are articulated by means of the journals 22 the parallel transverse bars 23 and 24, and blocking shoes 26 parallel to the bar 20 are articulated to the bars 23 and 24 by means of the axes 25, the working surfaces 27 turned towards one another, these shoes 26 being intended to rest against the lateral surfaces of the head of the rail. A tension spring 28 attached to one of the journals 22 and to one of the axles 25 tends to rotate the crossbars 23 and 24 counterclockwise in FIG. 3 and, consequently, to increase the distance separating the working surfaces 27 in order to release the clamp from the rail.
Attached to the free end of an extension 29 of the transverse bar 24 is a traction member 30 consisting for example of a cable, the other end of which is fixed by means of a tension spring 31, to an arm 32 of the cylinder 10, respectively 11, and serves, as described later, to apply the working surfaces 27 of the grippers 18 and 19, at the end of an empty advance thereof, against the side surfaces of rail heads.
The diagram for the hydraulic control of the pistons 14 and 15 in the corresponding cylinders 10 and 11 is as follows: a flexible line 33, respectively 34, for the pressurized fluid, for example oil, led from the front end from cylinder 10, respectively 11, to a hydraulic control member 35 which is of a type known to those skilled in the art and therefore does not need to be described in detail. The control rod 36 of the member 35 can be moved up or down in FIG. 1, either electromagnetically or manually by means of a hand lever 37.
The latter pivots on a console 38 of the cylinder of the member 35 and transmits its movement by means of a fork 39 ri gidly fixed to it by means of a stud not shown of the control rod 36, engaged with the fork 39. The control member 35 is connected by a pipe 40 for the pressurized fluid to a pump 41 with adjustable flow rate and the latter is directly connected by a pipe 42 to the reservoir 43 of pressurized fluid. Another pipe 44 connects the pump 41 to the reservoir 43 through the intermediary of a safety and pressure adjustment valve 45 of known type. The member 35 is still connected directly to the reservoir 43 by a return pipe 46.
The control rod 36 is surrounded at its two ends by electromagnet coils 47, 48 respectively, for the automatic electromagnetic control of the two cylinders 10 and 11. These coils are located at the same time as a current source. , for example a battery 49, a switch 50 and limit switches 51 and 52, in a circuit which will be described later when the operation of the device will be explained. The pump 41, the reservoir 43, the control member 35 and the current source 49 are arranged on the stationary part of the machine 1. The device described and shown operates as follows Suppose that the different parts of the device are located in the position shown in fig. 1 and 3. Switch 50 is closed.
The piston 15 is in its extreme outer position; the traction member 30 and the spring 31 of the clamp 19 are stretched and have, consequently, caused the transverse bars 23 and 24 of this clamp 19 to turn in such a way that the working surfaces 27 of its blocking shoes 26 are applied, against the action of the spring 28, against the side surfaces of the head of the rail 4. The pin 14 is in its extreme interior position and, consequently, the traction members 30 and the spring 31 of the clamp 18 are relaxed.
The elastic stop 53 of the clamp 18 has moved away from the terminals 56 of the line parts 57 and 68 of the electrical circuit the movable contact 54 (fig. 3) of the limit switch 51 against the action of the. spring 55 and brought it into contact with the terminals 58. The electrical circuit, as shown in the drawing, is now closed by the following elements: part of line 59, coil of electromagnet 47, part of line 60, closed switch 50, battery 49, line part 61 and limit switch 52, the movable contact 62 of which connects the terminals 63 connected to line parts 61 and 69.
The coil 47, which is now under current, pulls the control rod 36 downwards, so that the control member 35 allows the pressurized oil sucked out of the reservoir 43 by the pump to pass into the pipe 34. 41. As under the action of the spring 31 and of the traction member 30 the working surfaces 27 of the clamp 19 are already applied against the side surfaces of the head of the rail 4, the piston 15 remains stationary when the pressurized oil enters through line 34 into cylinder 11 to the left of piston 15 (fig. 1) and pressurized oil moves cylinder 11 and with it machine 1 to the left, reinforcing the locking action of clamp 19 on rail 4.
The pressurized oil expelled from the cylinder 11 to the right of the piston 15 is carried through the pipe 64 into the space of the cylinder 10 located to the right of the piston 14 and pushes the latter empty to the left (fig. 1) with the clamp 18 which is now released from the rail 3 under the action of the spring 28, the spring 55 being able again to move the movable contact 54 away from the terminals 58 and to apply it against the terminals 56. The oil is found on the left side of the piston in cylinder 10 is rotated through line 33, member 35 and line 46 in reservoir 43.
After a certain time, the movable contact 62 of the limit switch 52 of cylinder 11 moving to the left hits the elastic stop 65 of the clamp 19, so that the movable contact 62 comes into contact with the terminals 66 connected to the line parts 67, 68. During the advance of the cylinder 11, the clamp 18 released from the rail 3 is pushed forward to the greatest possible distance from the cylinder 10 by the piston 14 moving to the left.
During this time, its traction member 30 and its spring 31 are stretched and, consequently, the working surfaces 27 of the clamp 18 are applied against the rail 3, as has already been described for the clamp 19. The closed circuit is now the following: terminals 66, part of line 68, terminals 56 connected in the meantime by the moving contact 54 which has moved to the left, part of line 57, battery 49, switch 50, coil 48 and part of line 67.
The coil 48 pulls the control rod 36 upwards (fig. 1) and the control member 35 allows the pressurized oil delivered by the pump 41 to pass through the line 33 on the left side of the piston of the cylinder 10 , so that now the cylinder 10 moves to the left of fig. 1 by starting the machine 1, the piston 14 being held immobile by the clamp 18;
the pressurized oil to the right of piston 14 of cylinder 10, passing through line 64, arrives to the right of piston 15 of cylinder 11 and moves vacuum piston 15 to the left with clamp 19 which is now released from rail 4 by the spring 28, while the piston 15 returns to the tank see 43 the oil which is in front of it through the pipe 34, the member 35 and the pipe 46. The spring of the limit switch 52 can apply the movable contact 62 again against the terminals 63, after which the parts again occupy the position shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the cycle described being able to start again.
The advance of the machine 1 is therefore continuous, because there is always one of the cylinders 10, 11 which advances. As the flow rate and the pressure of the pump 41 are adjustable, the speed of the advance of the machine 1 and the traction force can be varied continuously.
If it is desired to actuate the control of cylinders 10 and 11 by hand, the electrical circuit is disabled by opening the switch 50 and it is then possible to produce the movements described above of the grippers by actuating the hand lever 37. When the lever 37 occupies the lower position, the cylinder 10 and the piston 15 move to the left. In the middle position of the lever 37, the parts of the device remain stationary and the oil flows into the reservoir 43 through the pipe 44 or 46 depending on the construction of the member 35. When the lever 37 occupies its upper position, the cylinder 11 and piston 14 move to the left.
