Manually Operable, Two-Leaf Folding Doors on Vehicles The invention relates to a manually operable, two-leaf folding doors on vehicles, the wings of which move downwards during the opening process. fold outside.
The known folding doors of this type have the disadvantage that the inner door handle can be completely folded up. the door leaf is prevented when the door is open. However, this is unfavorable because it prevents vehicle guests from getting in and out of the vehicle.
Also is. the inner door handle is not easily accessible when the door is open. The invention is intended to remedy these disadvantages in that the handle, which can be rotated uni a vertical axis and which is attached to the inside of the door leaf attached to the movable hinge, is provided with a Vleelianism, which causes the handle when opening. the door is automatically pivoted into the plane of the door leaf so that, on the one hand, the door leaves can lie completely on top of one another and, on the other hand, the handle can be easily grasped from both the inside and the outside.
In the drawing, a Ausführungsbei game of the invention is shown schematically. They show: FIG. 1 a horizontal section through the closed door, FIG. a horizontal section through the open door, Fig. 3 the locking and Actuate transmission mechanism with the door closed and Fig. 4 the mechanism of FIG. 3 at the beginning of the opening process.
The folding door according to FIGS. 1 and 2 has the door leaf rotatable about the fixed hinge 1 and the. uni the movable hinge 3 movable door leaf 4. The handle 5 is rotatably fastened to a vertical axis 6 be on which the top (and / or below) a lever 7 is rigidly attached.
A telescopic, resilient member 8 is articulated on the one hand at point 9 on the lever 7 and on the other hand at point 10 on the door leaf 2. The point 10 is eccentric to the hinge 3 angeord net that when folding the door of the hand handle 5 through the member 8 from the position of Fig. 1 and 3 automatically in the position naeli Fig.? is pivoted by turning the lever 7! clockwise.
In the position according to FIG. 2, the handle 5 lies in the plane of the door leaf 4, so that the leaves 2 and 1 can come to lie completely on top of one another; as a result, the handle 5 can be comfortably grasped by a passenger located inside or outside the vehicle area, either to close the door or to use it as a boarding handle.
To close the door, the handle must point towards; by hand in Fig. 2, just like a slide door, so that the expression folding sliding door can be used for the door described.
Above (or / and below) the door = leaf, a V-angle lever 11 is attached to the movable hinge 3, which is preferably rotatable on the hinge axis itself. An arm 11 of this lever is hook-shaped at its end and, in the closed position, engages behind a hook 12 rigidly attached to the door frame, whereby the door is locked. A tension spring 13 holds the angle lever in this locking position. If the handle 5 is rotated counter-clockwise, the plunger 8 'attached to the springs .. the link 8 meets one on the angle lever. provided stop 11 ".
whereby this lever is also rotated in the counterclockwise direction. The arm 11 of this lever pushes against the fixed stop 14 after releasing the locking mechanism on the hook 12, with the result that the force transmitted by the handle to the angle lever pushes the movable hinge 3 outwards so that the dead center position of the door leaves in the closed position is easily overcome.
The locking arm 11 'can possibly be provided with a double detent in order to avoid total unintentional opening if the main bolt is not fully engaged.
The outside handle 15 is operatively connected to the lever 11 via a mechanism (not shown), namely a docking is provided which acts on the lever part 11 IV so that the door can also be operated from the outside.
To lock the folding door, it is possible, please include a bolt not dargestell th in the drawing, which can be operated in any known manner, so that it comes to lie behind the arm 11 "'of the angle lever 11 and thereby its Dreirun .; and thus the unlocking of the door is prevented.
When the door is opened and closed, the wing 4 is guided by means of a pin 16 which is attached to a projection 17 of this wing and is guided in an NTiit 18 provided in the upper (and / or lower) part of the door frame. The guide groove 18 does not need. to be straight as shown in Figures 1 and 2, but could be bent in any way gently.
Although the door described can be operated manually, it does not close. from the fact that it could also be provided with a pneumatic mechanism, if it should be desired that not only the passengers can operate the door, but also the vehicle driver from his remote location. out can do this.
